Surrey Vaisakhi Parade to return on April 22 Surrey Vaisakhi Parade will take place on Saturday, April 22. After being cancelled for three years in a row because of the pandemic, organizers say the annual Surrey Khalsa Day Vaisakhi Parade will be back this year. In a news release from event organizers, the group says that more than half a million people are expected to crowd the streets for the colourful event. “After having to cancel the parade and the other weekend celebrations for the past three years, we know that the community locally in B.C. as well as guests who travel from as far away as across the U.S., Europe, and Australia will be thrilled to hear that the 2023 Surrey Khalsa Day Vaisakhi Parade is definitely back on,” Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar President Gurdeep Singh Samra said in a release.
