The Art League is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit visual arts organization founded in 1954. We support artists through education, exhibits, and a welcoming, creative environment—while connecting the community to the joy of visual arts. Each year, we fill over 10,000 class seats, exhibit work by nearly 1,000 artists, and present diverse programs to the public.

Membership Art League membership is open to individuals who have engaged with us in one or more of the following ways: 1. Paid exhibiting artist dues (Exhibiting Artist Member) 2. Donated $125+ to the Annual Fund (Donor Member) 3. The Gallery hosts monthly juried shows, artist exhibits, student/ faculty shows, and special exhibitions and fundraisers. Anyone can become an exhibiting artist!

Student/Faculty Show The public is invited to attend our annual Student/Faculty Show in The Art League Gallery, February 17–28, 2027. This is a no-entry-fee opportunity for Art League Students to exhibit their work! Receiving for submissions is President’s Day, Monday February 15, 2027, from 10am–12:30pm and from 5:30pm– 8:30pm. The closing reception is held on Sunday, February 28, 2027. Email school@theartleague.org if you wish to volunteer!

Twist Fold Formed Ring in Sterling Silver with Gold Accents Nick Barnes

This fast and fun approach allows students to design jewelry with simple tools and inexpensive materials. Participants explore various wax working and model making methods used to create rings, earrings, pendants or bracelets from start to finish. Beginners learn layout, measuring, carving, faux granulation, precious stone and wood inlay, stone setting, lathe and mill working. Completed models are sent out to be cast in metal. Finishing techniques are covered upon return of the cast work.

Foldforming, invented and promoted by Charles Lewton-Brain and his students, is a world recognized metalworking technique for everyone. Here we explore a derivation of the Eckland Fold, which developed in time into the award-winning Twist Fold Technique.

You can combine Art Camp and specialty camps (or two specialty camps) to create a custom all-day schedule. For these combinations, a $40/week supervised lunch hour is required between sessions. Camp Lunch All-day camps include a supervised lunch hour as part of the tuition. However, if your child is enrolled in a customized allday schedule, you must also register them separately for a supervised lunch hour at an additional cost of $40 per week. All campers are required to bring their own lunch.
