nutrition that works

The AIM 90-Day Health & Weight Loss Challenge has motivated many Members and Customers to pursue better health through achievable goals and daily commitment. Now that the challenge has ended, the real work begins − maintaining a healthy weight over time without slipping back into the familiar cycle: you follow a plan, the weight comes off, you feel great, and then, gradually, the pounds return.
Research shows that the body tends to defend a weight “set point,” a range influenced by your genetics, hormones, behaviours, and environment. Weight also reflects the balance between energy consumed and energy used. When weight drops quickly, the body may respond by slowing metabolism to return to its usual range, even if that range is higher than ideal. Over time, gradual weight gain can shift this set point upward, but steady, sustainable habits can help move it in a healthier direction.
Understanding this internal push-and-pull helps shift the perspective: sustainable weight management is not about resisting your body, but working with it through steady, realistic habits.
With that perspective in place, it becomes easier to see why certain daily practices make such a meaningful difference. The strategies below are well supported by evidence and help promote long-term weight stability while protecting both physical and mental well-being.
• Learn what is in your food – read labels and watch for added sugars, artificial sweeteners, saturated fats and emulsifiers, which can influence the healthiness of foods you choose.
• Practice portion awareness – smaller portions support better digestion, reduce discomfort, and help you better recognize hunger and fullness cues.
• Limit empty calories – reduce highly processed and fast foods, while still allowing occasional treats.

• Processed energy-dense foods such as fried foods, sugary snacks, chips, and cookies not only pack many calories into small portions but are also low in nutrients. These processed foods can be deceptively satisfying, filling you up quickly but often leaving you hungry soon after, leading to overeating.
• Nutrient-dense foods (leafy greens, lean meats, wild-caught fish, nuts, whole grains) provide vitamins, minerals, fibre, protein, and other beneficial compounds while offering fewer calories.
• Aim for a balanced plate by emphasizing nutrient-dense foods and including natural energy-dense foods such as nuts, avocados, and olive oil. This helps meet nutritional needs while supporting weight stability.
• Regular movement is essential for long-term weight maintenance and overall health.
• Include both aerobic exercise (for cardiovascular health and energy expenditure) and resistance training (to preserve muscle and support metabolic rate) three to five times per week.
• Poor sleep lowers leptin (the hormone that signals fullness) and raises ghrelin (the hormone that increases hunger), often leading to cravings for high-calorie foods.
• Chronic stress elevates cortisol, which can encourage fat storage and influence eating patterns.
• Support your well-being with consistent sleep routines and stressreduction practices such as relaxation, meditation, or strengthening social connections.
Sustainable weight management is a long-term commitment rather than a quick sprint. By consistently nurturing healthy eating habits, staying active, prioritizing sleep, and managing stress, you work with your body instead of against it. These steady, science-supported behaviours gradually guide your weight in a healthier direction and make it significantly easier to maintain progress over time.

For decades, men’s skincare was unfairly reduced to a harsh bar of soap and a splash of stinging aftershave. Thankfully, times have changed. Biologically, male skin is a unique beast: it is roughly 20% thicker than female skin, boasts a higher collagen density, and produces significantly more sebum.¹ However, this structural density doesn’t make it invincible. Daily shaving, UV exposure, and lifestyle stressors frequently culminate in a compromised epidermal barrier, manifesting as irritated, cracked, rough, and persistently reddened skin.
To truly fortify the male complexion, we must look past superficial topical fixes and nourish the skin from the inside out.
Rough, cracked skin on the face or hands indicates a need for structural reinforcement. This is where dietary protein plays a crucial role. As the foundational building block of cellular tissue, protein supplies the essential amino acids required for rapid epidermal turnover and repair.
To maximize its efficacy, protein must be paired with vitamin C. This powerhouse nutrient is a mandatory co-factor for collagen synthesis. It essentially acts as the biological mortar helping to knit cracked skin back together, while simultaneously neutralizing the free radicals that accelerate environmental aging.²
Razor burn and harsh weather frequently leave facial skin looking irritated and inflamed. To soothe this redness, omega-3 fatty acids are absolute essentials. These healthy lipids integrate directly into cell membranes, locking in deep moisture and acting as natural anti-inflammatories to calm micro-irritations from the inside out.³

Working alongside these lipids, barley seed extract has surfaced as a botanical champion in modern nutricosmetics. Rich in antioxidant phenols and deeply soothing beta-glucans, barley seed extract specifically targets skin sensitivity, helping to take the sting out of freshly shaved skin and accelerating barrier recovery.
For persistent rough patches and the micro-tears left behind by your morning routine, zinc serves as the ultimate cellular mechanic. Zinc regulates sebum production, keeping facial oil in check, and playing a pivotal role in cellular division and tissue healing.⁴
Finally, to protect this newly repaired matrix, beta-carotene (the vibrant plant precursor to vitamin A) acts as an internal shield. It optimizes skin cell renewal and defends against UVinduced damage, helping turn a dull, irritated complexion into a resilient, healthy one.
Investing in your skin isn’t about vanity; it’s about maintaining your body’s first line of defense. By incorporating these targeted nutrients into your daily regimen, you don’t just patch up the surface: you rebuild your skin from the bedrock up.

Building a business can feel overwhelming at times. There’s always something to do, someone to follow up with, or content to create. Without a plan, it’s easy to stay busy but not actually move forward.
That’s where a daily action plan comes in. It gives your day structure and helps you focus on what matters most. Instead of jumping between tasks, you follow a clear path that supports your growth. Over time, this kind of consistency builds momentum. Small daily actions add up, and your business begins to grow in a way that feels steady and manageable.
Many people rely on motivation to stay productive, but motivation isn’t always reliable. A daily action plan gives you a clear list of actions to follow, even on days when your energy is low. This makes it easier to stay consistent.
Structure also reduces decision fatigue. When you already know what needs to be done, you spend less time thinking and more time taking action. That shift alone can make a big difference in your productivity.
Not all tasks carry the same weight. Some actions directly support growth, while others simply keep you busy. A good daily action plan focuses on key activities that support your business. These should be actions that connect you with people, build trust, and create opportunities.
Income-producing activities are the actions that lead to conversations, connections, and decisions. This might include reaching out to new people, responding to messages, creating or sharing helpful content that starts discussions, and learning something new about your business or products.
It’s easy to spend time organizing, scrolling, or overthinking. While those tasks may feel productive, they often don’t lead to results. A strong daily plan keeps your focus on what matters most.
Sending a message, posting helpful content, or checking in with someone may seem simple. But when those actions happen
every day, they build relationships and create opportunities.
A daily action plan helps you stay focused on those small steps. Instead of looking for quick wins, you build steady progress that lasts.
Tracking your daily actions can help you stay accountable. It also gives you a clear picture of what is working and what needs adjustment.
This doesn’t need to be complicated. A simple checklist or journal works well. At the end of the day, you can quickly review what you completed and what needs attention.
It’s important to set realistic expectations. Trying to do too much often leads to burnout and inconsistency. Taking breaks and giving yourself space to recharge is part of the process. When your energy stays balanced, your consistency improves naturally.
Over time, these habits build awareness. You begin to see patterns in your productivity and results, which helps you improve your plan moving forward.
As your business grows, your priorities may shift. What worked in the beginning may need to change as you gain more experience and build a larger network. Reviewing your plan regularly helps you stay aligned with your goals.
Being flexible allows you to improve your approach without losing structure. Growth often comes from small adjustments over time.
A daily action plan helps you stay focused, consistent, and productive. It creates structure, reduces overwhelm, and builds steady growth over time. When daily tasks align with long-term goals, results become more predictable and easier to maintain.
