Thankfulness
The North American season of autumn includes the annual celebration of Thanksgiving, which falls on the fourth Thursday of November. For Canadian Members, this special holiday takes place on the second Monday of October. Traditionally, Thanksgiving celebrates the harvest season. When families and friends gather round to share a feast, this tradition holds the opportunity to convey a sense of gratitude for the blessings of the past year. There are always things to be grateful for in our lives. Perhaps the pandemic coloring of 2020-21 has put being in good health at the top of most people’s thankful-for list. This incredibly challenging period of time reconfirms wellness is something that should never be taken for granted. The same must be said of those we love and care about. Their wellbeing contributes immeasurably to our own. Having them in our lives adds purpose and a depth of connection. The sense of gratitude for their presence is immense. There are likely many more reasons to be thankful. The resulting gratitude helps us to maintain a positive attitude by acknowledging all the goodness in our lives. AIM staff recognize this particularly in regard to our extended family. Words of thanks from Members who appreciate AIM and access to nutrition that works regularly reach The AIM Companies™. Knowing that AIM’s mission is effecting positivity in people’s lives instills gratitude in the hearts of AIM staff worldwide. Being employed in both an essential service and what is considered to be essential by Members is a blessing. Our gratitude circles directly back to Members, who are the mainstay of The AIM Companies. Those of you who decided to extend your use of AIM products by becoming independent distributors are literally the sales force that drives the presence of AIM nutrition in the marketplace.

AIM Ingredients
The Pepper-Turmeric Connection The spice trade is likely the historical initiator of globalization. This plantbased commerce made originally exotic ingredients such as pepper and turmeric incredibly expensive food flavorings for wealthy individuals who could afford them.¹ Pepper was once referred to as black gold, which could even be used to pay the rent. Centuries later, pepper shakers are a condiment-container standard in most western countries. Pepper’s pungency comes from a bioactive alkaloid called piperine. In 2020, turmeric was nicknamed “Yellow Gold” given its popularity in countries such as Sri Lanka, where smugglers tried to sneak it in to supply the demand for its immunity-boosting properties.² A compound in turmeric called curcumin provides most of this spice’s health benefits.
The Effective Combo
Would you like some pepper with your turmeric? A more accurate question would be: how about some piperine with your curcumin? The correct answer would be an emphatic “Yes!”
Curcumin taken orally on its own is a compound that is not easily absorbed by your body, which quickly metabolizes it for elimination. However, the presence of piperine opens the door to curcumin absorption by inhibiting its break down and removal from your body. Piperine allows curcumin levels to increase in the blood so that your body can utilize its inflammatory-fighting and brain-boosting properties.³ It made sense to include both extracts in GinkgoSense. Combining curcumin and piperine with ginkgo biloba extract, ashwagandha, ginger, lutein and zeaxanthin makes GinkgoSense an incomparable dietary supplement for memory and vision health. Just like the synergistic effect of curcumin and piperine, all of the ingredients work together, enhancing the individual benefits. References: 1 bit.ly/JustAddSpice 2 bit.ly/CurcuminImmune 3 bit.ly/CurcuminAbsorption
GinkgoSense contains both curcumin from turmeric and piperine from black pepper. These spice extracts simply work more effectively together.

Plant-Based Food and Diabetes Both America and Canada make November an awareness month for diabetes, a disease that affects over 400 million people around the globe. A connection has been made between poor nutrition and the worldwide rise of type 2 diabetes.1 Considered to be a global epidemic, type 2 diabetes develops when the body is unable to produce enough insulin or use it effectively to channel sugar circulating through the blood into cells for energy and storage. The effects of the resulting internal inflammation caused by long-term high blood sugar levels include blindness, lower-limb amputations, heart attacks and stroke. Diabetes is deadly.
Planting the Positive
The benefits of this lifestyle choice include improved insulin sensitivity, increased fiber and phytonutrient intake, more interactions between food and gut microbiota, weight loss, and decreased saturated fat and diabetes biomarkers termed advanced glycation end products (AGEs).2 One study published in May 2017 concluded that the case has never been stronger for using a plant-based diet to reduce the burden of diabetes and improve overall health.2 Another study published in June 2021 documented: • A plant-based eating pattern is associated with reduced risk of type 2 diabetes. • A plant-based eating pattern is effective for treating type 2 diabetes.3

Food Factors for Health Food choices have consequences that are beneficial or detrimental to you and the health of your body. Over the length of a lifespan, wholesome nutrition is a major factor in maintaining wellness. Unwholesome nutrition has been proven to have the opposite effect.¹ When you consider the bounty of nourishing food that grows in the earth’s soil, it is easy to understand why this wholesome nutrition is at the top of the list of what people should mostly eat.

A primarily plant-based diet delivers everything your body needs to keep you healthy, including carbohydrates, fats, protein, vitamins, minerals, fiber and phytonutrients. Even sugar from the breakdown of plant carbohydrates is a healthy source of sweetness that supplies your body with energy. Plant carbs contribute to a lower dietary glycemic load (GL), which is a measure of both the carbohydrate amount in a food portion and how quickly it raises blood sugar levels.²
Keep in mind that not all plant-based foods are necessarily wholesome, for example, desserts, fruit juices, potatoes, refined grains, and beverages with added sugar. These sources of carbs cause blood sugar spikes. So choose wisely.
Wise Choices from AIM
Supplementing your wholesome nutrition with the juice powders of the Garden Trio, the chocolaty nourishment of CoCoa LeafGreens or the vegan protein of ProPeas are all healthy ways to increase your plant-based food intake. For those who wish to target blood glucose health, adding GlucoChrom delivers a unique combination of trace minerals and herbs that helps to maintain healthy blood sugar levels. In the end, wellness is all about making healthy lifestyle choices. A mostly plantbased diet is one of the healthiest you will ever make. References: 1 bit.ly/Unwholesome 2 bit.ly/PlantGLLoad

Health Feature As the seasons of lower temperatures fall on the northern climes of the United States and Canada, the cold change in the weather creates an environment that makes a person more susceptible to a cold or the flu. Chilly thermometer readings are a factor in such illnesses. The viruses that cause these ailments thrive even better in cold air, so they reproduce and spread far more easily among the population. Another cold and flu factor is the effect that these seasonal drops in temperature can have on the immune system. Breathing in cold air may reduce the body’s immune response, making it easier for cold and influenza viruses to be infectious. The idea that lower temperatures equal lower protection may also be connected to less vitamin D intake due to a lack of sunshine and more time spent indoors. Immune system function is dependent on the presence of this vitamin.
Fall Through Winter Moderate-to-vigorous exercise has been shown to stimulate the immune system, so make time for regular physical activity and its slew of other health benefits. If you exercise outside, dress warmly in layers of clothes that can be taken off and put back on again to adjust to the intensity of physical activity that results in sweat and cooling-off chills. Treat yourself to hot, relaxing baths with a magnesium touch from Mag-nificence CWR. This bath additive dispenses an essential mineral that plays a number

What’s a Body to Do?
A number of steps can be taken to protect your health and support your immune system this time of year. One of the most obvious ones is to dress for the weather. Subjecting your body to the stress and shivers of being chilled to the bone is not good for you. Stay comfortable, stay well.

of possible roles in the functioning of the immune system. And it will help you sleep. Adequate slumber primes your body’s defense against sickness. Eating well is one of the best steps for staying well year-round and especially relevant during the winter, when temperatures can make you more vulnerable to seasonal ills. Production of immune cells and antibodies can be inhibited by the lack of one or more nutrients, so choose healthy, plantbased nutrition as much as possible. Depending on where you live, finding a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables may be difficult this time of year. Boost this intake with the nutritional diversity of 18 fruit and vegetable powders in BarleyLife Xtra.

Furthermore, supplementing your food consumption with any of AIM’s whole-food powders is a convenient and sensible way to augment plant-based nutrition and increase your protective antioxidant intake. BarleyLife, CoCoa LeafGreens, Just Carrots and RediBeets are all suitable for these purposes. [For additional antioxidant protection, take Proancynol 2000.] If you’re susceptible to the winter blues brought on by fewer hours of daylight, beverages made with AIM greens may even help to lift your spirits. For a healthy supplemental protein, take ProPeas, a vegan source from peas that delivers a metabolic boost for your body any day of the year. Keep in mind that potential winter weight gain can be offset by this satiating form of protein yet with only 60 calories a serving. The fact is that all of AIM’s food powders are very low in calories and exceptionally high in nutrition, a winning combination for staying well this fall through winter.

Certified Information The work of independent distributors delivers AIM nutrition into the hands of Members both established and new as well as those who choose to purchase as guests without a membership. Consumers need details before making a purchase. The decision whether or not to buy a supplement usually depends on the packaging, label and available product information. Taking advantage of persuasive specifics to help people make their decisions is a major component when talking about the many benefits of AIM nutrition. For example, along with ingredients and usage details, AIM literature, labels, etc. include specific certifications that assist in decision-making. First and foremost, all AIM products are certified non-GMO, one of the most important certifications for consumers. It’s assurance that all of AIM’s food powders and natural health products are free from genetically modified (or engineered) organisms.
GLUTEN FREE
Gluten-free certifications protect those with celiac disease or other issues related to gluten, a protein found in certain grains. Nearly all the AIM products are certified gluten-free, making most of the AIM lineup healthy choices for those who want to avoid gluten intake.

The healthy popularity of going plant-based means the AIM products that are certified vegan fit this lifestyle choice. The certified vegan logo guarantees a product that does not contain animal ingredients or animal by-products and has not undergone animal testing. Choosing kosher is not only for those of the Jewish faith who adhere to food laws that include cleanliness, purity and quality. BarleyLife, Just Carrots and RediBeets are properly certified, so consumers will see the kosher symbol on each of these whole-food powders in the Garden Trio. The same is true for 180-gram canisters of BarleyLife and packets of 4-gram single servings.

The Choice of Exercise
Exercise is one avenue that has many definitions, depending on where you get your information. Some people never join a gym or fitness class yet lead physically active lives in the course of their day-to-day movements, whether cleaning, doing other home chores or simply commuting on foot or bicycle. Aerobics, cycling, running, swimming, skiing, skateboarding, weight-training and even plain old walking all qualify as popular types of exercise. Whichever physical activity is chosen, fitness and health goals determine the level of intensity required.
People Gotta Move!
Some Cho
Physical activity promotes good health while a lengthy lack of it has the opposite effect. Prolonged, stationary moves of sitting and lying down contribute to a primarily sedentary position in life. People are made to move. Even getting up and going for walks is a simple way to regularly stay active.
Looking ba are AIM Blue
With summer in the rearview mirror and winter on the way, going outside for a walk on a regular basis will likely require adapting to changes in the weather. But it’s worth the effort both for the physical and mental benefits. Along with its simplicity, walking delivers head-clearing and mood-boosting effects that represent some of the advantages of choosing this easy form of physical activity. Exercise in general is great for mind and body, making it a vital ingredient for good health, right down to the individual cells of the body. So, it’s not surprising that exercise is one of five avenues in the Healthy Cell Concept. No matter the person’s age, regular strolls on exercise avenue are a healthy lifestyle choice.

Contest
What Would You Do With a Cash Prize? The New Generations 2021 Cash Contest is in the second-last month of play that continues through December 31. Credits are being earned by Members for signing up active new Members and seeing these new generations promote during the contest period. The final tally of those credits at the beginning of 2022 will result in generous cash prizes for the top earners. For U.S. AIM Members, the top 25 contest achievers will receive from $750 to $3,000. In the 4-country cash contest that includes Canada, the top 8 Members will receive cash prizes from $1,575 to $3,150. To top it off in U.S dollars, the top 3 Members worldwide in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will receive $4,000, $2,500 and $2,000, respectively. The question at hand is: what would you do with a cash prize? Pretty much everyone delights in a sudden influx of cash. And there’s no end to the options on how to spend it. Staycation or travel? Necessities or something fun? Debt repayment or savings? Donation or gift? It’s entirely up to you.

Living in a hinterland region of Queensland, Australia, Ramiah decided to use the money to buy a motorcycle, giving their car a break from the steep ups and downs of living in the mountains. Besides, there’s nothing like riding on motorized wheels in the open air. Fine and fun choice indeed. That’s the beauty of these contests. Once the cash is in your hands, it’s yours to use however you wish. AIM wishes all contest participants success in growing new generations of Members and earning cash prizes in this year’s contest.

The Oxidative Stress Reducer
Excess production of free radicals called reactive oxygen species overwhelms antioxidant defense, creating oxidative stress. This results in damage to DNA, cells, organs, etc. Superoxide dismutase is both an enzyme and a powerful antioxidant that defends the body against free radicals, particularly reactive oxygen species. BarleyLife is a super source of superoxide dismutase. Around 75 percent of the chlorophyll content in plants is type A—the primary pigment that captures sunlight for photosynthesis. Accounting for the other 25 percent, chlorophyll B is an accessory pigment that passes collected sunlight to chlorophyll A. Both are fat-soluble compounds with antioxidant properties. bit.ly/ChlorophyllAB
