Living Well -August 2026

Page 1

. . . there is a shared sadness at the passing of Ron Wright, a co-owner of The AIM Companies™. “In Memoriam: Ron Wright ” pays tribute to his depth of character and the integral role he played throughout AIM’s history. Although Ron would likely have been reluctant to publish his passing in the pages of Living Well magazine, it is done in heartfelt recognition and honor of a remarkable man. It is important to note that Ron Wright was involved in the introduction of every AIM product featured in this issue.

BarleyLife and Frame Essentials can contribute so much to “Joint and Muscle Health” as noted by AIM Director Greg Nearing in his included testimonial. The “AIM Spotlight on BarleyLife Xtra” takes focus on whole-food nutrition that can give students a healthy boost, while “Back-to-School Nutrition” gets into more of the specifics of how dietary intake is vital for learning well.

Hot August days and nights color the spell of summer and its time of spending time out in the fresh air. “Summer Walks” gets to the heart of simple movement that can be transformed into exercise of varying intensity with healthy results. And for any and all physical activity, it’s worth “Asking About Oral ATP ” to increase endurance and stamina. Hint: Taking Peak Endurance helps you sustain any activity over a longer period (endurance) and perform at your maximum effort without fatigue (stamina).

Want to improve your memory? “ GinkgoSense Ingredients” are effective at doing just that and much more when it comes to better vision and reduced stress. And taking care of your gut microbiota is the focus in the “Fresh Focus on FloraFood ” because good bacteria rule!

AIM Chairman's Club Director Charlotte Thompson shares “Ohio’s 23rd AIM Conference Highlights ” that included presentations from AIM Chief Operating Officer Nicolas van Rensburg and AIM Quality Assurance Manager Philip Jermann. As for a tip to complete the August word search puzzle, look for clues in this issue of Living Well.

GinkgoSense Ingredients

It’s good to be able to remember. One of the biggest health fears is losing this ability. AIM was well aware of the need to support memory health when it first introduced GinkgoSense back in 2001. With AIM’s proactive response to botanical ingredients backed by scientific evidence, the formulation has advanced over the years. The GinkgoSense blend of seven ingredients are worth remembering for not only helping to maintain memory, concentration and mental clarity but to support healthy vision and provide stress relief.

Ginkgo Biloba Extract

The leaves of the oldest tree species on the planet provide GinkgoSense with unique bioactive compounds, including flavonoids, ginkgolides and terpenoids. These phytonutrients promote enhanced memory health by fighting inflammation and boosting circulation, especially for the transport of nutrients and oxygen to the brain.

Curcumin Extract

The active ingredient in turmeric root is curcumin, a potent phytonutrient that boosts cognitive function and reduces stress. As a hydrophobic polyphenol, curcumin can cross the blood-brain barrier to deliver inflammation-fighting and neuroprotective effects.

Black Pepper Extract

In ancient times, pepper was so valuable as currency that this spice was nicknamed black gold. Today, this common condiment is like gold in the GinkgoSense formulation for boosting the absorption of curcumin by a twentyfold increase.

Ashwagandha Root

The presence of an herb that helps people adapt to stress makes ashwagandha root all the more valuable as an ingredient with a neuroprotective influence on the mind. Infused with soothing plant compounds, ashwagandha relieves mental and physical tension that affects body balance.

Ginger Root

Providing phenolic compounds with antioxidant and inflammation-combating properties, ginger root has been shown to enhance cognitive function by protecting the brain from damage and oxidative stress.

Lutein

One of the carotenoids that contributes to brain and vision health is lutein, a powerful antioxidant that is highly concentrated in brain tissue and the eye’s macula, where it fights inflammation and protects against oxidative stress.

Zeaxanthin

As another carotenoid that accumulates in the brain and macula, zeaxanthin provides potent antioxidant activity that works in conjunction with lutein to filter blue light, protecting the eyes from damage. Marigold flowers are the plant-based source of the lutein and zeaxanthin in GinkgoSense.

Joint and Muscle Health

The connection between joint and muscle health is interdependent. Muscles protect joints by acting as shock absorbers and stabilizers while joints are built-in shock absorbers that support optimal muscle function. Muscles must be strong to protect joints from excessive wear and tear. If muscles are weak, stress increases and joint degeneration accelerates. By the same token, painful joints can weaken surrounding muscles and cause them to spasm.

Joints and muscles are interdependent on movement to keep them actively healthy. Even those with joint issues can benefit from exercise, which increases the flow of protective synovial fluid that cushions cartilage, reduces friction and absorbs pressure.

Nurturing the interplay of joints and muscles, Frame Essentials provides natural compounds that target joint strength and repair, while BarleyLife contributes muscleenergizing plant compounds that also deliver inflammation-fighting properties to protect the entire body. Together, these products support the connection between joints and muscles.

Since my 20s, I suffered from a serious condition that caused pain and stiffness in my spine. I had to retire in my mid 40s due to this health issue and complications from the side effects of treatment. I changed my diet: no processed foods, carbonated beverages, fast foods, white flour or sugar and less meat. I had good success with that but still had pain and stiffness. Then I found out about BarleyLife and everything improved. When AIM brought out Frame Essentials, I ordered it immediately. It helped even more. Today, I’m 82 years old and very active with very little pain. Yesterday, I spent several hours turning my garden beds over with a digging fork and then spent about an hour cutting up some firewood with my chain saw. Love my AIM products!

Summer Walks

It doesn’t take much effort to put on some comfortable footwear and go out for a walk. Maybe along with counting steps, blessings should be counted for the ability to do a healthy form of exercise that is basically free, non-competitive and so enjoyable outdoors under summer skies.

It is truly remarkable that something as simple as going for a walk can contribute so much to your health. It makes sense though. With two legs and two feet, humans are built to move by putting one foot in front of the other. The natural movement of your arms while walking adds some top movement to the entire activity, boosting circulation, engaging muscles and releasing endorphins that make you feel good.

Just like the accelerator on a car, speeding up a bit gets you to better health even faster. With every brisk step you take, you actually create a domino effect of health benefits for:

• Bones — builds and supports strong bones as a weight-bearing exercise

• Brain — improves mood, relieves stress and clears brain fog

• Heart — lowers bad cholesterol, improves blood pressure and reduces stroke risk

• Joints — stimulates cartilage lubrication that protects knees and hips from wear

• Immunity — circulates protective T-cells and maintains optimal immune function

Walking can even be fashioned into different forms of physical activity, including

• Hiking: Enjoy walking in nature where the terrain varies and engages different muscles.

• Interval Training: Add bursts of speed from 15 to 60 seconds to boost cardio fitness.

• Nordic Walking: Use Nordic poles to further engage muscles and burn more calories.

• Strength Training: Stretch a resistance band in front or above you during your walk.

Turn walks into a healthy routine that you benefit from this summer to next summer and beyond. Peak Endurance

Energizing Tip:

Thirty minutes before you take a walk, drink a refreshing beverage made with Peak Endurance to enhance circulation and increase cellular energy for improved stamina.

Oral ATP

Supplementing with Peak Endurance increases your intake of energy-transporting molecules known as ATP, spelled out as adenosine triphosphate. This gives your body extra fuel to draw on to support physical activity and the stamina it requires. Some questions that arise about using this oral source of “energy” are answered below.

Why should I take oral ATP?

The list of benefits from taking PEAK ATP® orally has continued to grow ever since AIM first introduced Peak Endurance nearly 20 years ago. Benefits include enhanced amino acid uptake for protein usage, improved maximal strength, diminished exercise-induced fatigue, improved cognitive function, improved energy expenditure, increased post-exercise ATP levels, and significantly increased blood flow after exercise.

How long does it take to notice the benefits of oral ATP?

Several human and animal studies indicate that cardiovascular, circulatory and vascular system benefits are realized almost immediately. However, it may take up to several weeks of consistent use of oral ATP before noticing significant increases in performance.

Can I take other products with Peak Endurance?

While Peak Endurance is safe to use with other AIM products, oral ATP is best taken on an empty stomach, thirty minutes before eating. Given that taking oral ATP can enhance blood flow, Peak Endurance can boost the delivery of oxygen and the nutrients and phytonutrients from food and AIM products.

If I take Peak Endurance, do I still need to take BarleyLife?

Yes, Peak Endurance is a dietary supplement that targets the replenishment of depleted stores of ATP to address a specific molecule essential for energy levels, whereas BarleyLife provides a wide spectrum of nutrients and phytonutrients required by cells and all body systems.

What’s the difference between the energy boost from BarleyLife and oral ATP?

BarleyLife’s concentration of beneficial plant compounds provide optimal fuel for cells to produce energy. Taking oral ATP as directed greatly increases the number of available energy-transporting molecules that boost muscle movement during physical activity, reducing fatigue and peaking endurance.

This month’s AIM Spotlight focuses on BarleyLife Xtra, the juice powder of young barley leaves for those who enjoy a sweeter side of these unique and potent greens. The blend of 18 fruit and vegetable powders along with a flavor of apples and cherries gives BarleyLife the Xtra touch of tasty richness. Each serving delivers a full serving of BarleyLife plus the extra plant-based powders.

AIM Spotlight on BarleyLife Xtra

With September on the summer horizon, August is a fine time to put BarleyLife Xtra in the spotlight as a back-to-school boost for children of all ages. This particular favorite of younger folks offers a conveniently healthy way to give them the wealth of plant compounds in one of the most nutritious grasses on the planet without the grassy taste.

The flavor of BarleyLife Xtra goes down well even with the pickiest of eaters who balk at vegetables that they need to improve their growth and state of health while still in the developing stages of life.

In Memoriam: Ron A. Wright

November 24, 1934 - April 11, 2026

For anyone who really knew Ron Wright, it would come as no surprise that his strength of character made him the right man to become an instrumental part of the AIM story, initially as a Member and then as a co-owner of The AIM Companies™ with Dennis Itami.

Born into a hardworking family shaped by resourcefulness, he was imbued with the resilient spirit that emerged out of necessity during the Depression era. His strong sense of doing what was right gave Ron Wright a principle that reflected not only his surname, but the way he lived his life.

With a strong work ethic and a knack for learning new skills, Ron’s career path led him on an interesting journey. Sorting mill lumber, trimming trees and learning how to send telegraphs were some of his initial work experiences as a young man.

Ron’s first full-time job was selling electrical appliances, and he proved to be a successful salesman by building trust and speaking slowly and methodically. He made sure people got exactly what they needed, an approach that further reflected his character and the way Ron carried himself throughout his life.

Although Ron had no formal training in construction, he built a home for Sherry, his first wife and the mother of his children, Greg and Darla. That first home became the start of Ron’s construction career. Over time, he built many dozens of homes in Emmett, Cascade and across the Boise Valley. He would go on to earn a real estate license.

Ron and his family eventually moved to Boise, where he purchased a small 12-room motel: The Skyline. Running this accommodation became a family effort, with Greg and Darla each contributing in ways that they recall with humor and fondness. This period of time reflects the kind of life Ron built: industrious, practical and shared.

Ron always had an eye for opportunity. His entrepreneurial instinct ultimately led him to natural health products after Jim Kling introduced him to a unique green juice powder that originated in Japan through extensive research of plant nutrition. In Ron’s own words, “. . . AIM was blessed to be at the cutting edge of green barley grass through AIM’s BarleyLife. We were the first to market it and to teach others about it.”

Opal

AIM was not only the business opportunity of his lifetime, it was how Ron met Opal, the woman who would become his second wife. The first time Opal visited the company headquarters in Nampa, Idaho, she was a top independent distributor of AIM products.

Ron and Opal were married in 1991, and together they built a blended family grounded in love, generosity and perseverance, qualities they passed on to each member of their family. With Opal, Ron had found a true partner, someone who shared his generous spirit and deep commitment to caring for the people they loved.

The essence of Ron Wright equates to a life well lived, and it is in these pages of Living Well that his entire AIM family honors and celebrates his achievements and memory.

FloraFood

FloraFood probiotics provide essential health care for the gut by repopulating the microbiota with good bacteria in the forms of Lactobacillus gasseri, Bifidobacterium bifidum and Bifidobacterium longum.

Bacterial Balance From FloraFood

The trillions of microbes that live in the human body are a balancing act when it comes to inner health. The dominant diversity and population of beneficial bacteria counteracts the natural presence of pathogenic microbes. Each capsule of FloraFood helps maintain this balance by introducing 3 billion live cells from 3 beneficial strains of good bacteria backed by years of research.

Bacteria cells actually outnumber human cells in the body although it is difficult to accurately count them all. The most recent determination is a bacteria-tocell ratio of 1.3:1 — a dominance that emphasizes the vital importance of maintaining the population of good bacteria with FloraFood.

Sticky Situation

When you increase the presence of good gut bacteria by taking FloraFood, you’re getting beneficial microbes that survive the passage through stomach acid and stick to the intestinal wall, where they do their finest work in keeping you healthy.

Bifidobacteria are one of the most abundant strains in the gut microbiota of healthy breast-fed infants. However, as a person ages, levels of these essential microbes decrease. Supplementing with FloraFood on a regular basis counteracts a deficiency of these good bacteria. doi.org/10.3390/microorganisms7110544

Back-to-School Nutrition

It’s only the month of August, and perhaps, a little to soon to be thinking about going back to school. For most young people, it’s likely the furthest thing from their minds during the heart of summer, and rightly so.

In the hearts of parents who don’t homeschool, back-to-school thoughts may be a little different. Maybe even secretly yearning for their children’s return to reading, writing and arithmetic for both continuing their children’s education and getting some relaxation.

Children of all ages can be an energetic handful, and going to school allows them to channel some of that energy on learning. Parents can do so much in regard to wholesome nutrition that helps young minds to thrive. It’s never too early to improve the nutritional intake of children for the school year ahead.

What children consume impacts their energy levels, overall body health, and the structure, function and chemistry of their brains. Whole-food diets rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytonutrients and healthy fats protect them against cognitive decline and mood disorders. AIM serves up supplemental nutrition in the form of concentrated wholefood powders that include BarleyLife, BarleyLife Xtra, CoCoa LeafGreens, Just Carrots and RediBeets. Each choice increases children’s intake of nutrition that serves them best.

As for healthy fats, essential fatty acids are an example of nutrients that people of all ages need, given that omega-3 and -6 come from dietary intake only. AIMega supplements the intake of these two essential fatty acids with a plant-based source from organic seed oils. As foundational building blocks of neuronal cell membranes, these healthy fats play a pivotal role in a child’s brain function and cognitive sharpness, both essential factors for effective learning.

There’s a lot more of summer for children to enjoy before they go back to school. Meanwhile, parents can enjoy the thought of helping them to excel in their studies with the helping hand of nutrition that works.

Visible Changes to ReAssure SP and CellSparc 360

To address Member and Customer concerns about the presence of titanium dioxide in ReAssure SP and CellSparc 360, AIM has updated the formulations to remove this nonmedicinal ingredient while maintaining a similar capsule color using more acceptable alternatives.

ReAssure SP – titanium dioxide and caramel color have been removed. The capsule color will change from dark brown to brownish black.

New other Ingredients: Gelatin (derived from bovine [Kosher/Halal]), glycerin, water, yellow beeswax, carob extract.

CellSparc 360 – titanium dioxide is replaced by sunflower oil. The capsule color will shift from light orange to a reddish-orange tone.

New Other Ingredients: Gelatin (derived from bovine [Kosher/Halal]), glycerin, water, yellow beeswax, sunflower oil, annatto extract.

The estimated transition period for these two products will fall in August. This date is approximate and may shift based on sales. Canada has already completed its transition to the new inventory.

A: ?

Some of our products use gelatin capsules, and the label states “gelatin derived from bovine.” So what does that actually mean?

The gelatin used in AIMega, CellSparc 360, Proancynol 2000 and ReAssure SP is derived from bovine bone. It is Kosher and Halal certified, and it is free of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) and transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE).
