SUMMARY
BRYCs goal is for every student in East Baton Rouge Parish to graduate with a clear, financially sound plan for life after high school. What follows summarizes BRYCs impact on the nearly 600 juniors and seniors who participated in a BRYC-led, credit-bearing ACT Prep course or BRYC’s In-School Advising Program in 2025–2026.
BRYC is a Louisiana Course Choice provider of ACT Prep, a classroom-adapted version of its proven ACT programming. Seasoned BRYC facilitators utilize MasteryPreps awardwinning curriculum and UWorlds top-rated study software to teach both test content and strategies. The course also integrates self-regulation/socioemotiona learning and postsecondary planning instruction to prepare students to be college- or workforce-ready.
ADVISING PROGRAM
Embedded directly in partner schools, the Advising Program offers customized, ondemand postsecondary guidance that supports all pathways: university, community college, technical training, apprenticeships, military, and direct workforce entry During fa l 2025, three advisors served 231 advisees The program grew by 171 in spring 2026, necessitating the addition of two BRYC Alumni to serve as near-peer advisors Al advisors were strategical y deployed across schools to maximize coverage and minimize overlap.
