ESMERALDA

ALEO UFOR (Ensemble) is a senior at Lely High. She began doing theater her freshman year and completely fell in love with it. She continued to do school productions until the past summer, when she decided to join The Naples Players as a crew member for Ride The Cyclone, one of her favorite shows, and was utterly captivated by the talent and culture in this theatre. RENT is her first-ever TNP show as a cast member, and she is so excited to work with her new peers! Past credits include A2/CATS and A2/Ride The Cyclone at TNP, Jan/Grease, and Mrs. Heron/Ensemble/ Mean Girls.

ROMINA ALEZARD (Mimi’s Mom/Ensemble) is thrilled to be taking part in this year’s production of RENT for you to see her as Ensemble/Mimi’s Mom. This is her third show with TNP; other credits include Kelli/Dear Edwina, Ensemble/Newsies, and Young Fiona/Shrek at Gulf Coast High. She wants to thank her family and friends for always supporting her and TNP for allowing her this amazing opportunity.

LEO BENANDER-McKAY (Angel Dumont Schunard) is thrilled to be a part of TNP’s production of RENT alongside this cast of amazingly talented people. Some of his recent roles include Mungojerrie/CATS, Howie/Rabbit Hole, Beetlejuice/Beetlejuice JR, Warner Huntington III/Legally Blonde JR, Robin/Something Rotten! JR, and Spot Conlon/Newsies. He keeps busy with many activities including theater, fashion, sports, and music, as well as his schoolwork at Seacrest Country Day School. He wants to thank all of the people at TNP who helped to put this show together, and he also wants to give a big thanks to his friends and family for always believing in him! Enjoy the show!

JACK BOSLEY (Ensemble) is a senior at Aubrey Rogers High. His recent TNP credits include Sweeney Todd Teen, Young Frankenstein, and 42nd Street Teen. Jack is an event coordinator on the TNPA Student Leadership Council as well as the President and Founder of Aubrey Rogers Shoe Shine Club. Next year Jack is going to Florida Gulf Coast University for Social Entrepreneurship.

MADDIE BRENDEL (Joanne/Dance Captain) is a senior at The Baker Day School and is currently serving as VP of Outreach on SLC. She is thrilled to be part of this exciting show! You may have seen her on stage as Ensemble/Dance Captain/9 to 5, Mistoffelees/Dance Captain/CATS, Persephone/Dance Captain/Hadestown: Teen Edition, Ensemble/Dance Captain/Young Frankenstein, and Ensemble/42nd Street. This past summer, she also co-choreographed SIX: Teen Edition; the first student-led production at TNP. She would like to thank everyone who made this production amazing. Enjoy the show!!

AMELIA CAWLFIELD (Ensemble) is a sophomore at Naples High, where she participates in the choir and theater. She also serves as a corporal in her school’s JROTC. Additionally, she has been in the TNPA production of Sweeney Todd Teen. Amelia is so grateful for the love and support from her friends and family!! We hope you enjoy the show!!

JILLIAN CINNAMON (Ensemble) is so excited to be performing in her third show at The Naples Players! She is a senior at The Baker Day School. In her six years of doing musical theater, her favorite roles include Ariel/The Little Mermaid, Gertrude McFuzz/ Sour Kangaroo/Seussical, Mrs Peacock/Clue, Rona Lisa Peretti/Spelling Bee, Prudy Pingleton/Hairspray, Mary Sunshine/Chicago, Silena/The Lightning Thief, Leanne/ Puffs and more! She hopes you enjoy the show!!!!

THOMAS CURRIE (Mark Cohen) is excited to be playing Mark Cohen in RENT. He is a senior at The Baker Day School and recently portrayed Christopher Boone in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Some of his past favorite roles include Orpheus/Hadestown: Teen Edition, Inspector Kemp/Young Frankenstein, Beadle Bamford/Sweeney Todd Teen, Bustopher Jones/Asparagus/CATS, and Frederic/The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He has also appeared in productions such as Godspell and 42nd Street. Thomas would like to thank the creative team, his castmates, his punt, and his theater family for their support and encouragement. He hopes you enjoy the show.

ADDIE EASTERLY (Alexi Darling/Ensemble) is a senior and is proud to be a part of the first graduating class at TNPA. Addie has been doing shows since she was seven, and has been with TNP since she was nine. Some of her past roles include Brigitta/The Sound of Music, Rona/Spelling Bee, and part of the 5-person cast for Songs for a New World. Along with acting she has also recently started to play the electric bass for productions including Hair, CATS, and will be playing for RENT at the Alliance for the Arts this summer. She has loved performing in RENT and hopes you enjoy the show!

EDISON FILNER (Ensemble) is a sophomore at Barron Collier High and is thrilled to be in the Academy’s production of RENT! Previous roles at TNP include: Quaxo/ Macavity/CATS, Tobias/Sweeney Todd Teen, Ensemble/Sweeney Todd, Virgil/Ride the Cyclone, Worker/Hadestown Teen, and Ziggy/Young Frankenstein. While not performing in the theater, Edison loves playing violin and viola and is a member of several ensembles including the Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra as well as the 2026 FMEA All-State Orchestra. Special thanks to Dawn, Charlie, Tori, and all of the amazing crew members and designers who helped to make this production so special. He hopes you enjoys the show!

ALEXANDER GARCIARENA

(Benny Coffin III) is a junior at Naples High, performing his fourth show in The Naples Players and in his all-time favorite theatrical show! He was previously seen in the ensemble of 42nd Street Teen and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, as well as currently performing in his high school’s production of In the Heights as Usnavi. He wants to thank his family for being so supportive during such a busy time, his friends for their constant advice and help, and his girlfriend for bringing so much light into every single day. With that, dim the lights, raise the curtains, and enjoy RENT!

CARYS GUERRERO (Mimi Marquez) is a senior at Gulf Coast High and is ecstatic to be playing the role of Mimi Marquez in The Naples Players’ production of RENT! Some of her previous roles include: Demeter/CATS, Paula Abagnale/Catch Me If You Can, Heather McNamara/Heathers, June/Chicago, Patty Simcox/Grease, Anne of Cleves/SIX. She will also be playing the role of Sally Bowles in NPAC’s upcoming production of Cabaret. She would like to thank Dawn and Charlie for pushing her so hard. Enjoy the show!

ELLA HAMBLEN (Mrs. Cohen/Ensemble) is 17 years old and is an 11th grader at the Baker Day School of The Naples Players Academy of Dramatic Arts. She was recently seen in TNP’s productions of CATS, Sweeney Todd Teen, Ride the Cyclone: High School Edition, and Hadestown: Teen Edition. She would like to thank her Mom and Dad for always being so supportive, as well as Dawn and Charlie for all they do. Enjoy the show!!

TOMMASO NAPOLI (Ensemble) is a junior at Gulf Coast High and this is his first show with The Naples Players. He hopes you enjoy the show and have fun.

KRISTINA KAVALOV (Ensemble/US Mimi’s Mom) is grateful to be part of RENT! You may have seen her previously as Pouncival/CATS, Ensemble/Sweeney Todd Teen, and Ensemble/Hadestown: Teen Edition. She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her and the creative team for making this amazing show come to life. She hopes you enjoy the show!

SLOANE KELLY (Roger’s Mom/Ensemble) is currently a sophomore at Gulf Coast High, and is very excited and grateful to be a part of RENT! She has recently performed in Hadestown: Teen Edition on the violin, and in Sweeney Todd Teen in the ensemble. She would like to thank Dawn and Charlie for their excellent guidance, and her friends and family for their unending support. She hopes you enjoy the show!

RANDY PILOTO (Tom Collins) is extremely humbled and grateful to be in his third production here at The Naples Players. He has been previously seen as Old Deuteronomy/CATS and Adolfo Pirelli/Ensemble/Sweeney Todd Teen. Randy is a senior at Naples High, and will be glad to tell you after the show whether he is attending Florida State University or the University of Cincinnati to pursue a Music Performance/Education degree. He is proud to serve as the Principal Oboist for the Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Randy would like to thank God foremost, his friends and family for all of their support, as well as special thanks to Dawn and Charlie for their outstanding mentorship and direction. VICTORIA RINALDI (Maureen Johnson) is a senior at The Village School of Naples and is ecstatic to be playing one of her dream roles in this ever-so-relevant show. Other credits include Jennyanydots/CATS, Mrs. Lovett/Sweeney Todd Teen, Talia/ Ride the Cyclone, Ensemble/Hadestown: Teen Edition, Ensemble/A Christmas Story: The Musical, Frau Blücher/Young Frankenstein, and Ensemble/42nd Street Teen. She would like to thank the cast, crew, and creative team for always being supportive and for putting on such an amazing show! Enjoy!

NINA SANDHU (Mrs. Jefferson/Ensemble) is thrilled to be a freshman at the Baker Day School of The Naples Players Academy of Dramatic Arts. After beginning her theatrical career at Florida Repertory Theatre in the summer of 2024, she quickly discovered her passion for the stage and hasn’t looked back. She has since appeared in Something Rotten! JR, Beetlejuice JR, and most recently CATS. Nina is so thankful for the culture and community at TNP and is excited for all the creative opportunities that lie ahead.

OLIVIA SILVERIO

(Ensemble/US Alexi Darling) is thrilled to be making her debut in RENT! Olivia has shined in numerous productions, including the lead, Nick Bottom/Something Rotten! JR, Paulette/Legally Blonde JR, Electra/CATS, and Barbara Maitland/Beetlejuice JR. Olivia has had the privilege of singing at different events throughout Naples and this summer she will be participating in the Broadway Artists Alliance intensive in New York City. Olivia is so appreciative of all the love and support she receives from her family and friends who never miss a show, especially her mom and dad. Enjoy the show!!

AIDEN THAYER (Roger Davis) is an 11th grade student at The Baker Day School. Outstanding regional credits: Tom/Dap/Camelot, Matus/Hrdza (Gulfshore Playhouse); Young Clyde/Bonnie and Clyde (TheatreZone). Other outstanding credits: Josh/Ensemble/9 to 5, Rum-Tum-Tugger/CATS, Hermes/Hadestown: Teen Edition, Billy Lawlor/42nd Street Teen (TNP); JD/Heathers, Danny Zuko/Grease, Davey/ Newsies (NPAC); Billy Crocker/Anything Goes (Gulfshore Playhouse). When not on stage, Aiden runs his own car detailing business and plays the guitar. DYLAN TURNER (Ensemble) is very excited to be working on another show here at The Naples Players. Most recently for TNPA, he was the teen orchestral contractor for CATS and stage managed Beetlejuice JR. Dylan is a senior at Gulf Coast High where he has also been an actor in shows such as Mamma Mia!, All Shook Up, and Hairspray. Lastly, he would like to thank the staff of The Naples Players for giving him this opportunity as well as his parents for always supporting him in whichever path he chooses to go down. CREATIVE TEAM BIOS

PETER CAPORAL (Assistant Director) is excited to be the assistant director on this production of RENT. While he is usually found on stage, he has enjoyed this process immensely and would like to thank Dawn for this opportunity and for her trust. Previous roles at TNP include Sweeney Todd/Sweeney Todd and Lenny Ganz/ Rumors. He has been featured in off-Broadway plays including Tony in How Alfo Learned to Love, and starred as Lenny in Father Nose Best, winner of the Bonita Springs Short Film Festival 2024. Peter is a proud member of Stage 2 Improv and is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts. He also teaches acting at TNPA’s Baker Day School. Thanks to Jen for her unwavering love and support.

BROOKS CLARKE (Co-Music Director) is a composer, performer, and music educator from Jacksonville, Florida. Recent engagements include Guitar 1 for TINA - The Tina Turner Musical National Broadway Tour and Music Director for Seussical at Wheelock Family Theatre in Boston, MA. DALLAS J. COOK (Lighting Designer) is thrilled to return to The Naples Players as this season’s lighting intern. He recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts. As TNP’s summer 2024 intern, DJ designed School of Rock and co-designed 42nd Street. In Charlotte, he has designed Peter and the Starcatcher, Measure for Measure, and Welcome to Our Village, Please Invade Carefully, as well as countless dance pieces. This season, he designed High School Musical JR and CATS, and was the ALD for And Then There Were None, Little Women, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, and 9 to 5. He hopes you enjoy RENT!

CHARLES FORNARA (Co-Music Director), TNP’s Artistic Director of Music, has music directed over 200 productions, including, at TNP: Little Women, Sweeney Todd, 42nd Street, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Something Rotten!, Gentleman’s Guide, Mamma Mia!, Chicago, The Rocky Horror Show, Catch Me If You Can, The Spitfire Grill, Les Misérables, and many others, as well as over 30 teen productions for the TNP Academy. Also in Naples for TheatreZone, he has music directed nearly 50 shows including Ghost, Rock of Ages, Bridges of Madison County, Legs Diamond, Sweet Smell of Success, Grand Hotel and Hair. Originally from Providence, RI, Chas conducted Jim Steinman and Roman Polanski’s Dance of the Vampires in Stuttgart, and has taught and coached singers all over the US and Germany, currently teaching voice at the TNP Academy. A proud member of Actors’ Equity, he has appeared in almost 100 musicals, operas and concerts, including several appearances here in Naples with TheatreZone, most notably as the title role in Sweeney Todd. Much love to his beautiful wife, Dawn, and a big thank you to this cool band!

DAWN LEBRECHT FORNARA (Director/Choreographer), TNP’s Artistic Director of Dance, is a native New Yorker and has served as director and choreographer for TNP’s Little Women, Sweeney Todd, 42nd Street, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Something Rotten!, Mamma Mia!, Chicago, Sister Act, The Rocky Horror Show, Catch Me If You Can and Legally Blonde, among others, and with the TNP Academy for many productions, including Joseph, Hairspray, Disney’s Camp Rock and CATS. She has choreographed many shows for TNP, including All Shook Up, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Cabaret, and, as a performer, she has been seen in the National Tours of 42nd Street, Seussical the Musical, Anything Goes and Grease. A proud member of Actors’ Equity, she has been seen here in Naples in TheatreZone’s Sweeney Todd (Beggar Woman), Jekyll & Hyde (Lucy), Stepping Out with Donna McKechnie, Legs Diamond and Hair, among others. Other recent roles include Sheila/A Chorus Line, Sally Bowles/Cabaret, Velma Kelly/Chicago, Bombalurina/Cats and Ulla/The Producers. Dawn is currently teaching dance at the TNP Academy. Love to husband Charlie and her family.

KENZ HODGE (Scenic Designer) is a scenic designer from Orlando, FL and recently graduated from Columbia College Chicago. Kenz has been with The Naples Players since May as the scenic intern and is excited for everyone to enjoy RENT.

TORI KERSHAW (Stage Manager) is so proud of this cast, crew, and creative team. As an intern this year, she has gotten to ASM Little Women and stage manage Beau Jest Tori is a recent graduate of Mercer University with degrees in Theatre and Elementary/ Special Education. Some of her Mercer credits include The Colored Museum (SM) and Men on Boats (SM). Her other favorite credits include Orfeo and The Flying Dutchman (Asst. Crew Chief) at The Santa Fe Opera, and As You Like It (ASM) at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Much love to her intern family for putting this incredible show together.

BRADY PATTERSON (Assistant Stage Manager) is both excited and nervous to be the sole ASM on such an ambitious show. He has previously worked on 12 shows at TNP in the last year and a half and is both the SLC publicist for the Academy and the 2026 Jr Sound Intern. He hopes that the check engine light in his car turns off and that you enjoy the show! “If I still went to school, I would walk in so icy.” – Chief Keef

BRIDGET POULTER (Props Designer) is the full season props intern at The Naples Players and she is thrilled to be working with TNP for this season. Bridget was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado and she is a recent graduate from Colorado State University where she obtained her B.A. in Theatre Design and Technology with a concentration in Scenic Design with a minor in Film Studies. She has previously worked as the prop designer for 9 to 5 and Beau Jest (TNP), the scenic designer for Into the Woods (Colorado State University, ACTF nomination), and the props designer for Peter and the Starcatcher (Colorado State University). She is looking forward to continuing her props career here and hopes that you enjoy the show!

DAYNE SABATOS (Costume Designer) is a Kansas native and multidisciplinary artist. After several years of freelancing across the country, he is excited to be joining the crew as a permanent fixture here at The Naples Players. Often working behind the scenes to help create the beautiful costumes you see onstage, Dayne has a passion for teaching his craft and working with the amazing volunteers at TNP. Some of his past design credits at TNP include 9 to 5, The Cake, The Game’s Afoot, and By The Way, Meet Vera Stark. He loves weird art and good cheese.

KOHEN VERRETTE (Sound Designer) After being hired as TNP’s Director of Sound in July 2025, Kohen is extremely excited to be a part of his third design project with TNPA. In the midst of relocation from New Orleans, LA, Kohen is thrilled to be a part of this lively community. From working with legendary musical acts such as Ivan Neville and George Porter Jr. to mixing in some of the nation’s historical theaters, Kohen is ready to share his knowledge and have some fun with The Naples Players this season!

JONATHAN LARSON received the 1996 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for RENT. He also won the 1996 Tony Award for Best Musical and the 1994 Richard Rodgers Award for RENT and twice received The Gilman & Gonzales-Falla Theatre Foundation’s Commendation Award. In 1989 he was granted the Stephen Sondheim Award from American Music Theatre Festival, where he contributed to the musical “Sitting on the Edge of the Future”. In 1988 he won the Richard Rodgers Development Grant for his rock musical Superbia, which was staged at Playwrights Horizon. He composed the score for the musical J.P. Morgan Saves the Nation, which was presented by En Garde Arts in 1995. Mr. Larson performed his rock monologue tick, tick... BOOM! at Second Stage Theatre, The Village Gate and New York Theatre Workshop. In addition to scoring and song writing for “Sesame Street”, he created music for a number of children’s book-cassettes, including Steven Spielberg’s “An American Tail” and “Land Before Time”. Other film scores include work for Rolling Stones magazine publisher Jann Wenner. He conceived, directed and wrote four original songs for “Away We Go!”, a musical video for children. RENT, his rock opera based on “La Boheme”, had its world premiere on February 13, 1996 at New York Theatre Workshop. Mr. Larson died unexpectedly of an aortic aneurysm on January 25, 1996, ten days before his 36th birthday. His music (including songs cut from his shows) is archived in the Library of Congress.
