THE BAG PEOPLE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE

The lives of twenty-seven people in need of a clean, soft place to sleep were made just a little bit better last year thanks to the love, concern, and willing hands of Rock Shadows Residents.

A sleeping mat fabricated from plastic grocery bags brings comfort to a person experiencing homelessness. A person who may know little else in the way of comfort or human compassion.

Join us in the Copper Room. Thursdays 10:00 - 3:00.

Be A Bag Person!

Becoming homeless is not a choice, but it can be the result of many overlapping factors, from personal and social to environmental.

FELLOWSHIP

The Gospel Fellowship would like to welcome everyone, including new arrivals! We hold our services in the Community Center at 8:30 am each Sunday morning, beginning in early November and continuing through March. It is a non-denominational Christian service that includes prayer, praise music, traditional hymns, scripture readings, and a Bible-based message delivered by Pastor Chris Baker of the First Baptist Church of Apache Junction.

We welcome everyone from our resort, and if you have guests visiting, they too are welcome. Our service is immediately followed by coffee, treats, and fellowship. We have a Bible Study group that meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm. Please watch the Rock Shadows blasts to see where this will be held. The Annual Gospel Fellowship Christmas Eve candlelight service is welcomed and supported by many in the resort. Again, welcome to the resort, and may your time here be a blessing to you.

If you have any questions, please contact Winston Hoegh, Board President, at space 651 or call him at 712-249-4608.

God Bless, Gospel Fellowship

HORSESHOES

We are looking for new members, male and female, for our horseshoe team for the 2025-2026 season. Because we no longer play in our resort, we have now merged with Raindance Park and are based out of their location. League play starts Tuesday, November 18th @ 8am. Anyone interested in playing, contact Gary Bayer @ 920-202-0437 or stop by at lot #705.

Thanks, Gary Bayer #705

SUPER CUTE SALON AT SUPERSTITION SUNRISE RV RESORT

Green is my favorite color, so I love this time of year as it is everywhere!

Green represents a variety of meanings across different cultures and thoughts.

It is naturally thought of as growth and renewal, a time of refreshing. Additionally, it represents peace, relaxation, and prosperity.

As many of you are leaving or preparing to enjoy the spring and summer weather back home, we hope that on your journey, you will feel renewed with your time here and will bring that with you and spread peace into your communities. For those of you who are staying here with us, we are ex-cited to continue to grow with you. No matter what your plans are this month, we express our gratitude for the friendships we have with you.

Happy March!

Matt, Pepper, and the Super Cute Team 928-978-2800 supercutesalon.com

The library’s puzzle section continues to grow, thanks to the generous donations from the community. A heartfelt thankyou goes out to everyone who has contributed and continues to share puzzles for all to enjoy.

The collection is now neatly organized by size, ranging from smaller puzzles with just a few hundred pieces to challenging sets of over a thousand. To keep the collection enjoyable for everyone, please donate only complete puzzles with no missing pieces.

For those who discover a missing piece while working on a borrowed puzzle, please make a note on the box before returning it. A small cup located in the 1,000-piece section holds orphaned pieces that may one day find their way back to their original sets.

The puzzle section is a wonderful way to relax, challenge the mind, and connect with others through shared enjoyment. Thank you for helping keep this community favorite in great shape.

THE CRAZY QUILTERS

The Crazy Quilters have been busy on Mondays and Thursdays designing and quilting bed-size quilts for New Life, which shelters family abuse victims in Apache Junction. We took to the office three quilts before Christmas and have taken several more last month.

CANS, CANS, CANS

Yes, I am again collecting pop and beer cans to recycle to raise money for our softball team. Bring the cans to space 354, or give me a call, and I will come pick them up. When you bring cans, put the sacks on the left side of the shed. Much appreciate it if the cans are crushed so they don’t take up so much space in our shed. However, gladly take large bags of cans (the Recycle Center is close by).

FREE Neuropathy Lunch And Learn

"Let me tell you my story: I suffered with neuropathy for over 8 years, tried a lot of different things, been on different medications and it kept getting worse. When we got down here from Michigan this past fall, my neighbor who has suffered with neuropathy for years walked across the street to welcome us back. The amazing thing was, she walked over without her walker. I had never seen her without her walker. I asked her what she had done, and she walked back to her house and came back with a card for the doctor she had seen after we left last year. I gave his office a call to make an appointment, it was on a Thursday, his office was closed, but the doctor answered the phone. He explained he would like me to attend one of his free workshops before coming in, it would answer all questions and if I still wanted to come in, I could make an appointment then. His workshop was informative, he explained things unlike any doctor I had seen up to that time, how neuropathy started, what is done for most people, why he does what he does. I was mostly impressed that he was straight forward, told the pros and cons. I’ll bet 85 to 90 percent of the other patients I talked to in his office were getting good results, like I did. My pain decreased by at least 50% in the first 3 weeks. I would highly recommend anyone with peripheral neuropathy, go to this workshop, I know you will be glad you did."
