Wow February kept everyone hopping. So many good events on the Calendar from the Bean Soup Dinner, Craft Sale, Quail Run’s Got Talent (YES, WE DO), Valentine Dance, Fashion Show and huge Mardi Gras Party. Last but not least one of our big events of the season, Senior Olympics with over 160 people signed up for the various events and a good time was had by everyone along the way.
March 1 in the Roundup Room we will have our annual Memorial Service, remembering those who lived and played with us @ Quail Run and now have gone to their heavenly home. March 6th will be our annual Celebration of Life. For the new ones, this tradition has been passed down through the years and was originally called “The Cancer Dance”.
Then there is the FAMOUS Margarita Party held every year at site 37… Cele is asking for donations for Carl’s Cupboard on March 17th.
Unfortunately, there comes a time every season when the Snowbirds start leaving and it does seem to be harder every year to say goodbye. March 21st is the End of Season Potluck and dance. We do it up right when it comes time to say, “See You Next Year”! It’s never goodbye.
Everyone be safe in your travels and know that we, at Quail Run have celebrated having you as a part of this family.
Love and Light to All of You
Debbie & Dale Gerbers Resort Managers

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS @ QUAIL RUN! This park has so many volunteers in so many different areas that I couldn’t begin to name all of you. Just know that when I am walking through the Cantina, Roundup Room or by the Pool I am very much aware of what is happening. We have the Quail Run Charity Committee and Helping Hands and Carl’s Cupboard for our charity volunteers. We have Painting Classes, Exercise Classes, Line Dancing, Sewing Group, Jam Sessions, Water Aerobics, Line Dancing, Horseshoes, Bingo, and the mini card & domino games. We have people that arrange golf outings, motorcycle rides and ATV rides. We have people that cook, serve and clean Wednesday breakfasts. Volunteers to sell the Luminary Bags for the Celebration of Life. Volunteers that do Quail Run’s Got Talent. Then we have the people that work night and day on the Senior Olympics! Quail Run loves all of you and if I forgot anything – forgive me.
I can honestly say this is the best park in Arizona as far as people, volunteers and caring – Thank you each and every one of you for all you do!!!

March brings in spring flowers and that means there is still time to purchase your Park Model for next year’s winter season. It’s still a buyer’s market with many models to choose from. Don’t miss out on next year!
We have started out this new year with several happy new Park Model owners, and we welcome them to our Quail Run Family. You could be next! We still have several Park Models available, and all are ready for you to move in. They are all great homes with many handy upgrades, and all are in good condition.

Betsy & Clay Madden, Activities Directors - 2026/2027 Season

As most of you know, but some do not, we’ve been looking for new Activity Directors – and believe we’ve found them!!! Rick and I have been here – working, a total of 7 years and are ready to hang it up. We’re still going to live here, volunteer if/when needed, and guide Betsy & Clay Madden as needed…which we believe they’ll do AWESOME!! Most of you have welcomed them already and we’re excited to see what they come up with.
Anyway, THANK YOU ALL!!! For supporting activities, VOLUNTEERING-(which is a pretty great commodity around here and will be needed in the future as well), but we’re extremely grateful for you all! Dale & Debbie for all they have done to help out, and I believe this couple will slide right in without more stress added to their plate. Now for us to see how the other half lives-lol. Love you all!
Susie & Rick, | Activities Director

For many years, residents of Quail Run have celebrated an evening called the Celebration of Life (or Cancer Dance) on the first Friday of March. This year our Celebration of Life Dance will take place on March 6th. Classic Jukebox will be our featured band that evening, so come and dance, enjoy the music, spend time walking around our lit pool with all your beautiful luminaries and help us all celebrate the gift of life. The dance will be free to everyone, but we will have a donation box to help defray the cost of the band and the balance will go to our local Casa Grande Cancer Center. Kathy Weyers and I were privileged to present them with a check for $700 last year which was thanks to all our very generous residents. Our Helping Hands provides them with many handmade items that they put to use for their cancer patients. The facility is a beautiful place that provides services to cancer patients each day. Make up a luminary and come find it around the pool and join us at the dance to Celebrate Life!
Luminaries are now on sale at any of these locations:
Linda & Jeff Donaldson Site 184
Ardie & Tom Cotton Site 7
Cele & John Pohle Site 37
Edie & Dave Wilkins Site 103
LaDonna Waring Site 159
Mary & Roger Weyer Site 70
Judie & Ken Schmidt Site 284
