October is here, and there is a lot of positive momentum happening throughout Osprey Bay! Over the past several weeks, our team has been focused on improvements that make our community safer, more convenient, more secure, and more enjoyable for everyone. Some projects are already complete, while others are actively moving forward. Here are just a few of the things happening around Osprey Bay: • Gate Improvements Are Underway
We are continuing to test and improve our new gate access system. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through the transition and get everything running smoothly. • New Cameras at the Wellness Center
Security cameras have been installed at the Wellness Center as part of our continued efforts to improve security throughout the community. • AEDs Are Now Available in Our Community
Two AEDs have been installed—one at the Clubhouse in front of the Manager’s Office and another by the Fitness Center. We’re also working on future training so residents can learn more about how to use these important lifesaving devices. • Pool Door Key Fob Access
We’re upgrading access to our pool areas by adding key fob functionality to the doors, making access more convenient for our residents.
• Our Storage Area Has Received a Major Upgrade!
We’ve redesigned the layout and intentionally reduced the number of spaces to give residents more room to maneuver and park comfortably. We’ve also installed security cameras in the storage area for added security. More on this below!

Our Lifestyle Director, Tara, has been busy putting together activities and events designed to get residents out, having fun, meeting neighbors, and enjoying everything Osprey Bay has to offer. Not every improvement happens overnight. Some projects require testing, adjustments, and a little patience along the way. But what’s important is that we continue moving forward. We’re building great momentum at Osprey Bay—not only through physical improvements, but by creating a stronger sense of community. Thank you for your patience during the changes, for participating in our events, and for helping us continue building a community we can all enjoy and be proud to call home. There’s a lot happening at Osprey Bay, and we’re just getting started!

Thank You for Showing Up, Osprey Bay! Before we jump into everything coming in October, we want to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and participated in our September events! Our Labor Day celebration brought residents together for catered food, live music, cornhole, games, conversations, and plenty of time to simply relax and enjoy one another’s company. And that’s exactly what these events are all about. They’re about getting out of the house, meeting your neighbors, laughing together, building friendships, and creating memories right here at Osprey Bay. Seeing residents playing cornhole, enjoying the music, gathering around our outdoor spaces, sharing conversations, and having a good time together is what makes these events worthwhile. YOU are what makes our community events successful. Thank you to everyone who came out, participated, played a game, stayed for the music, met someone new, or simply stopped by to enjoy the day. September was fun... and October has even more in store!

WHAT’S NEW? • A BETTER, MORE SPACIOUS LAYOUT We intentionally reduced the number of storage spaces and redesigned the layout to give residents more room to maneuver, back in, pull out, and park comfortably. • NEW SECURITY CAMERAS Cameras have been installed in the storage area, adding another layer of security and oversight. • SECURE, ACCESS-CONTROLLED AREA The storage area is located within a secure, access-controlled space right here in the community. • YOU CAN’T BEAT THE CONVENIENCE No driving across town every time you want to check on your RV, boat, or trailer. Your storage space is right here at Osprey Bay. • MULTIPLE SIZES AVAILABLE We have options for different storage needs, with spaces ranging from 16 feet to 37 feet long and prices starting at just $64 per month. DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE SPACE YOU NEED IS GONE! Here’s the important part: we intentionally created fewer spaces with the new layout so residents would have more room to park comfortably. That means availability is limited. With the improved layout, added cameras, convenient location, and limited number of spaces, don’t wait until the size you need has already been claimed. NATIONAL MAMMOGRAPHY DAY October 16 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Lee Health is inviting residents to prioritize their health by scheduling their annual mammogram. Appointments are available from 2:00–4:00 PM at participating Lee Health Breast Health Centers, with HealthPark Commons listed as the closest location for Osprey Bay residents. Slow Cooker Cranberry Pear Cider INGRE D IENTS • 10 pears quartered • 1 orange quartered • 2 cups cranberries • 4 cinnamon sticks • 1 whole nutmeg • 16 cloves • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup can sub brown sugar • 8 cups water FOR GA R N ISH (OPT ION A L)

INSTR UC TIO N S 1. Push the cloves into the orange rind. 2. Add pears, orange, cranberries and spices to a large slow cooker/ crock pot. Fill with 8 cups of water. 3. Cover and set to low for 4-5 hours. 4. About one hour before it is done mash all the ingredients with a whisk or potato masher. Continue to cook for one more hour. 5. When finished cooking, strain all solids with a fine mesh sieve. Rinse out slow cooker. Return to strained cider to slow cooker. Pour in the maple syrup and stir to combine (Can add more or less to taste, or use brown sugar instead of maple syrup). 6. Garnish with orange and pear slices, cranberries and cinnamon sticks.
