MANAGER’S MESSAGE

Dear Residents and Guests,

Spring has arrived, bringing warm days, blooming landscapes, and a fresh sense of energy throughout our community. As our seasonal residents begin to depart, please remember that each resident is responsible for ensuring their landscaping is maintained over the summer months. The daily rains bring fast-growing weeds and overgrown landscape beds. Also, remember to put away any outdoor items that may become airborne in the event of a storm

Our team continues to work hard to keep the property beautiful, safe, and welcoming for everyone. Over the coming months, you may notice seasonal landscaping improvements and maintenance projects designed to enhance the appearance and comfort of our shared spaces.

We encourage everyone to get outside, enjoy the sunshine, and take pride in the wonderful community we share. Thank you for being such an important part of what makes this neighborhood a great place to call home.

Wishing you a happy and refreshing spring and safe travels if you are leaving us for the season!

Warm regards,

APRIL FUN FACTS

BIRTHSTONE FOR APRIL IS THE DIAMOND,

SYMBOLIZING CLARITY, STRENGTH, AND INVINCIBILITY.

DIAMOND IS THE MOST RECOGNIZED BIRTHSTONE FOR APRIL, CELEBRATED FOR ITS BRILLIANCE, HARDNESS, AND ENDURING BEAUTY. ITS NAME COMES FROM THE GREEK WORD ADAMAS, MEANING “INVINCIBLE” OR “UNBREAKABLE”. DIAMONDS HAVE BEEN TREASURED SINCE ANCIENT TIMES, WITH EARLY SOURCES IN INDIA AND LATER TRADE ROUTES BRINGING THEM TO EUROPE, WHERE THEY BECAME SYMBOLS OF WEALTH AND STATUS. THE DIAMOND’S EXCEPTIONAL HARDNESS AND THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY MAKE IT NOT ONLY A PRIZED GEMSTONE BUT ALSO VALUABLE IN INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS.

APRIL IS THE ONLY MONTH WHEN IT’S SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE TO MAKE A FOOL OF SOMEONE.

APRIL 26 IS CELEBRATED AS NATIONAL PRETZEL DAY IN THE UNITED STATES.

THE CHERRY BLOSSOM TREES IN WASHINGTON, D.C., TYPICALLY REACH THEIR PEAK BLOOM IN EARLY APRIL.

APRIL IS NATIONAL GRILLED CHEESE MONTH IN THE UNITED STATES.

THE ZODIAC SIGNS FOR APRIL ARE ARIES AND TAURUS.

APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS, BUT THEY ALSO BRING MUD AND PUDDLES.

THE BIRTH FLOWER FOR APRIL IS THE DAISY, WHICH SYMBOLIZES INNOCENCE AND PURITY.

FUN APRIL RECIPE

APRIL FOOLS CAKE

EASTER EGG FUN

YOU CAN CREATE VIBRANT, TIE-DYE EASTER EGGS USING COOL WHIP, FOOD COLORING, AND VINEGAR IN A FUN, EDIBLE, AND GRANDKID-FRIENDLY WAY.

MATERIALS NEEDED

HARD-BOILED EGGS (WHITE EGGS DYE MORE EASILY)

COOL WHIP OR OTHER WHIPPED TOPPINGS (HOMEMADE WHIPPED CREAM WORKS TOO)

GEL OR LIQUID FOOD COLORING (GEL GIVES MORE VIBRANT COLORS)

WHITE VINEGAR

FLAT DISH, PIE PLATE, OR MUFFIN TIN

SPOON, BUTTER KNIFE, OR TOOTHPICK FOR SWIRLING PAPER TOWELS FOR DRYING

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

PREPARE THE EGGS: SOAK FULLY COOLED HARD-BOILED EGGS IN WHITE VINEGAR FOR 5–10 MINUTES. THIS HELPS THE DYE ADHERE AND MAKES COLORS MORE VIBRANT.

SPREAD COOL WHIP: PLACE ABOUT AN INCH-THICK LAYER OF COOL WHIP IN A FLAT DISH OR MUFFIN TIN.

ADD FOOD COLORING: DROP FOOD COLORING OVER THE WHIPPED TOPPING. YOU CAN USE MULTIPLE COLORS FOR A TIE-DYE EFFECT OR STICK TO ONE COLOR FOR A SWIRLED DESIGN.

SWIRL COLORS: GENTLY SWIRL THE COLORS WITH A BUTTER KNIFE OR TOOTHPICK. AVOID OVERMIXING TO MAINTAIN DISTINCT PATTERNS.

ROLL THE EGGS: PLACE EGGS IN THE COOL WHIP AND ROTATE THEM GENTLY TO COAT WITH COLOR.

SET THE COLOR: REFRIGERATE THE EGGS IN THE WHIPPED TOPPING FOR 10–15 MINUTES TO ALLOW THE DYE TO SET.

CLEAN AND DRY: REMOVE EGGS WITH A SPOON, WIPE OFF EXCESS COOL WHIP WITH PAPER TOWELS, AND LET THEM DRY COMPLETELY. AVOID RINSING WITH WATER TO PRESERVE BOLD COLORS.

Tips on Getting Your Home Ready to Sell

1. Deep Clean Everything

Interior: Scrub floors, walls, windows, cabinets, and fixtures. Replace any stained carpet or linoleum.

Exterior: Power wash the siding, clean windows/screens, and check for any mildew or buildup.

Skirting: Make sure it’s intact and not sagging.

2. Handle Repairs & Upgrades

Fix any leaky faucets, squeaky doors, or damaged flooring. Repair or replace broken steps or railings.

Upgrade dated hardware (handles, knobs, light fixtures) for a fresh look.

Make sure HVAC, water heater, and appliances are in good working order.

3. Boost Curb Appeal

Add plants, flowers, or mulch around the entrance. Paint the front door or shutters with park-approved colors if they’re faded.

Clear out any clutter or debris from the yard.

4. Gather All the Paperwork

Title (double-check it's in your name and free of liens)

Manuals or warranties for appliances or major upgrades

VIN number and HUD data plate (usually found inside a kitchen cabinet or bedroom closet)

5. Stage It for Sale

Neutral decor and furniture help buyers imagine living there. Remove personal items (family photos, personal toiletries).

Make small spaces feel bigger—declutter, use mirrors, and stick to light colors.

6. Be Ready for Showings or Move-Out

Keep it tidy and available for showings.

Turn static files into dynamic content formats.
