Resident Centric • Coffee and Donut Hour was held with the Social Club Meeting on September 2nd at 11:00 am to plan this month’s events. Our next Coffee and Donut Hour/ Social Club Meeting will be on October 7th at 11:00 am. We invite everyone to kick back with some fresh coffee and sweet treats while sharing your best ideas for future community events. Bring your creativity, your appetite, and your neighborly spirit—let’s brainstorm our next big neighborhood gatherings together! • Bingo was held September 4th & 18th with a lot of happy winners joining in the fun! This month’s bingo will be on October 2nd with a second Bingo on October 16th both starting at 3 pm. Congratulations to all the winners! • Jimmy Buffet End of Summer Labor Day party held on September 7th. Beach Cove turned into a full-blown Margaritaville, and it was an absolute blast! We jammed out to Jimmy’s legendary music while enjoying a true Cheeseburger in Paradise menu—complete with juicy cheeseburgers, French fried potatoes, big Kosher pickles, and fresh shrimp beginning to boil. Of course, the party wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Margaritaville itself, where the cool margaritas and pina coladas were flowing all day long. A massive, heartfelt thank you goes out to Ken, Silvia, Gina, Debbi, Ron, Margaret, and Pat for bringing together such an amazing event! Your hard work made it a holiday to remember. Thank you to everyone who came out to waste away again in paradise with us!

• Movie night was held on September 14th, featuring “Footloose” and popcorn plus a new Candy – Bar concession. What a great show and delicious popcorn and candy! Thank you Mia and Ken for making this happen! We will have 2 Halloween movie nights for October. We will feature “Young Frankenstein” on October 12th and “Final Destination 1” on October 26th. Love funny and spooky movies, then be sure to join us!

• Our September 26th Chinese Dinner gathering was a delicious success! Good food and great company made for a fantastic afternoon as neighbors gathered to share a fun and flavorful meal. Thank you to everyone who joined in on the feast—it was the perfect way to spend a September afternoon together! • Thank you, Susan M., for organizing the Scrabble game that was held September 29th! Scrabble will be held on the last Tuesday of the month with the time changing from 1 pm to 6 pm beginning October 27th. It’s a great way to exercise our brains while having fun!!

Medicare Lunch & Learn – Blueprint Legacy Group is hosting an informative Medicare Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM. This session is designed to simplify the complexities of Medicare, helping attendees understand their options, upcoming changes, and how to maximize their healthcare benefits. This event falls directly inside this critical annual enrollment window. Please RSVP to the office by October 9th. Coffee with a Cop – Please join our local Sheriff’s Department for “Coffee with a Cop” on Wednesday, October 21st, 2026, at 11:00 AM for a vital community session focused on identity theft and scams. Residents are invited to pull up a chair, enjoy free coffee and donuts, and speak directly with local deputies in a relaxed, casual environment. This specific event aims to empower our community with the knowledge needed to outsmart fraud, recognize red flags, and protect your hard-earned finances and personal information.

Happy October Birthday Happy Hour – We want to celebrate everyone’s October birthdays at Happy Hour on October 23rd starting at 4 pm. Come help blow out their candles and enjoy some delicious cake! Scrabble with Susan – Join Susan on October 27th in a challenging game of Scrabble. It’s a great way to exercise your brain while having fun!! Starts at 6 pm in the clubhouse. Halloween Party / Fall Carnival (Local Food Bank Fund Raiser) – You won’t want to miss this event on October 31st starting at 3 pm. This will be a fun packed day with a costume contest for both people and pets! Enjoy the carnival with 8 fun games, eating ice cream, popcorn and other snacks while competing with your friends and neighbors. There will also be a BBQ dinner featuring sandwiches, baked beans and coleslaw. After dinner, if you’re not too full, join in a mini-sized pie eating contest. There will be regular and un-leaded punch and test tubes filled with mysterious liquids. You can win raffles and contests so please be sure to join us and RSVP to the office by October 28th! The cost is $5.00 per person and we encourage you to donate $10.00 to our local food bank fund raiser. It’s sure to be a Spooktacular event! Happy Hour at the Tiki – Enjoy the afternoon with your neighbors and friends at the Tiki Hut every Friday beginning at 4 pm. Bring your favorite beverage and snacks while you catch up with the latest from your friends! Horseshoes - As always, the horseshoe players and spectators are out there every Sunday at 1 pm challenging their friends and neighbors to play a fun game! We have some talented players so stop by and cheer them on!

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pear Cider INGRE D IENTS • 10 pears quartered • 1 orange quartered • 2 cups cranberries • 4 cinnamon sticks • 1 whole nutmeg • 16 cloves • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup can sub brown sugar • 8 cups water FOR GA R N ISH (OPT ION A L)

• sliced oranges • sliced pears • cranberries • cinnamon sticks

INSTR UC TIO N S 1. Push the cloves into the orange rind. 2. Add pears, orange, cranberries and spices to a large slow cooker/ crock pot. Fill with 8 cups of water. 3. Cover and set to low for 4-5 hours. 4. About one hour before it is done mash all the ingredients with a whisk or potato masher. Continue to cook for one more hour. 5. When finished cooking, strain all solids with a fine mesh sieve. Rinse out slow cooker. Return to strained cider to slow cooker. Pour in the maple syrup and stir to combine (Can add more or less to taste, or use brown sugar instead of maple syrup). 6. Garnish with orange and pear slices, cranberries and cinnamon sticks.
