We are getting closer to the opening of our new clubhouse, gym, and billiards center. The pool has been experiencing some problems with keeping it heated. They are working on getting it all fixed.
Many of you have signed on with Revamped for the weeds, and I thank you for that. We still have homes with lots of weeds. Please take care of them. We have our new landscape company in place, and it's looking better already. There is also a new pool service company in place. Please return the pool furniture to its original place after you're done with it. Thank you to all the wonderful residents who make Sevilla Sol a great place to live.

Hi, I’m Celeste Martell. Better known as the tornado in the community! My husband and I moved here in 2006. We used to live in the apartments next door. We chose this place for the community size and relative quietness.
I was born and raised in Calif, better known as Silicon Valley. I attended and graduated from elementary through high school in California. Siblings are a total of five. One older sister and brother, a younger sister and brother, and I, being the middle child.
I have 2 sons that I raised by myself, and I totally enjoyed the journey. Lots of lessons learned, and yet unconditional love grew each day. We kept busy in school, sports, and of course, being in the gym. My sons are my joy in life, sometimes a headache, but overall, they are my boys!
I started work in electronics, the Deaf community, and then went into real estate, Special Education, and worked as an office manager for a major company.
I went back to school after the real estate market crash in the early 90’s and earned an undergraduate degree (BA) in business/management/education.
As my 2 sons moved on with their lives, I met my husband Sgt, Major Gino Martell, in 1990, and we have been together ever since. My joy in this journey is my soul mate, Gino. He keeps up with me in the gym! We enjoy going to Luke AFB. We have traveled and enjoyed his military tours. What a great life! Now we are enjoying our senior years. God is good all the time!
I totally enjoy my quiet time reading the Bible and BEING STILL! Can you believe that? (Psalm 46:10). Exercise is my new enjoyment as I have my home gym. Yep, every day! I also love to crochet, cross-stitch, and cooking! I cook; Gino eats!

This month, we are having our community St Patrick’s Day potluck dinner at 1pm on March 21st. Cobblestone will be providing corned beef and cabbage ingredients. Please sign up in the office by March 17th so we can purchase the necessary amounts of food.
Bocce Ball and Cornhole are changing times once more as the weather warms up.
The time will now be at 11am on Saturdays. Come join in the fun!
Our OTLB dates for March are Thurs 3/5 at JiMichael’s, 13039 N 103rd Ave, Sun City, and Tues. 3/24 Famous Dave's BBQ, 16148 N 83rd Ave, Peoria. Remember that the time has changed to 12:30. All are welcome! If you need a ride, one can be provided.
Don’t forget our BINGO and HOTDOGS dates this month, Thurs. 3/12 at 5pm and Thurs. 3/26th at 1pm. BINGO is no charge for a chance to win scratch tickets and win your fortune. Hot dogs are $3, or a meal of a hot dog, chips, and soda is $4.50. Come to play or just to eat! Still at #33.
As we move into warmer weather, we also have an increased problem of noise on the trail. Glenn and Vicki met with the city of Peoria and the police to address the problem, and this is the message they brought back to the community.
Residents, please take note- Park Ranger patrols are back out on the Trail.
Glenn Myers & Vicki James (Sevilla Sol residents) met with the City of Peoria Parks Director and Police Chief to address the issue of the uptick in gas-powered vehicles (motorcycles, mini-bikes, ATVs, etc.) on the Trail.
Park Rangers are back on the trail, patrolling!
This patrol will be based on the resident phone calls to the Park Ranger line, 623-773-7700. Use the Sevilla Sol address 10201 N 99th Ave. Please give them as much info as possible, i.e., direction of travel, type of vehicle, color, if possible, date and time of occurrence.
These patrols will continue based on the volume of calls the Rangers receive. As a community, if you see/ hear something, say something! This is the only way we will be able to have an impact.
In the meeting, we were able to collaborate and put a plan in place & will keep you updated when the city is ready to implement it.
Thank you, Vicki and Glenn, for advocating for our community and for the information you have provided to us. Looking forward to hearing what else the city has planned for the trail.

• 4 cups cooked lentils
• 1 pound ground beef
• 1 package onion soup mix
• 1 cup catsup
• 1 tsp prepared mustard
• 1 tsp vinegar
• 1 cup water
Rinse lentils and add to 4c water. Bring it to a boil and reduce to a simmer for 20-30 minutes.
Brown ground beef, stir in remaining ingredients, including lentils. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 8.
**Helpful hint for lentils. 1 cup raw =2 cups cooked

Welcome, Gidget Goebel, to our community!
Gigi (nickname) belongs to Greg and Sara Goebel #90. Gigi is a rescue from the Humane Society, and her breed is known as a “Dingo”, Carolina wild dog. She is 1 year old and loves her toys. She is a new addition to our home and with those eyes it was love at 1st sight! She is training to be a service dog like her brother, Goose. But as a woman, she’s barking along at her own pace!
Attention residents, please let me know whose “fur baby” you want to see here next month.

"Let me tell you my story: I suffered with neuropathy for over 8 years, tried a lot of different things, been on different medications and it kept getting worse. When we got down here from Michigan this past fall my neighbor who has suffered with neuropathy for years walked across the street to welcome us back. The amazing thing was, she walked over without her walker. I had never seen her without her walker. I asked her what she had done, and she walked back to her house and came back with a card for the doctor she had seen after we left last year. I gave his office a call to make an appointment, it was on a Thursday, his office was closed, but the doctor answered the phone. He explained he would like me to attend one of his free workshops before coming in, it would answer all questions and if I still wanted to come in, I could make an appointment then. His workshop was informative, he explained things unlike any doctor I had seen up to that time, how neuropathy started, what is done for most people, why he does what he does. I was mostly impressed that he was straight forward, told the pros and cons. I’ll bet 85 to 90 percent of the other patients I talked to in his office were getting good results, like I did. My pain decreased by at least 50% in the first 3 weeks. I would highly recommend anyone with peripheral neuropathy, go to this workshop, I know you will be glad you did."
