It is a real pleasure to introduce myself as the new Venue Director and to welcome you to an exciting programme of theatre, music, comedy and live entertainment across our venues. I’m delighted to build on the fantastic work of Chris Jordan, who continues to play a key role in shaping our programme as Executive Producer.
This season brings together an extraordinary range of productions. From spectacular musicals including Operation Mincemeat, Mamma Mia!, Rocky Horror Show, Waitress and The Bodyguard, to gripping drama such as 2:22 A Ghost Story and Dial M For Murder, there is something for every theatre lover.
Stepping Out, produced and directed by Chris Jordan which is a key highlight of our programme.
Fans of music and live performance can look forward to concerts from artists including Jools Holland, David Gray and Jethro Tull, while family favourites such as Dog Man The Musical ensure plenty for younger audiences to enjoy.

Australian superstar Jason Donovan comes to Eastbourne in Richard O’Brien’s legendary rock ‘n’ roll musical, The Rocky Horror Show, as part of a new world tour. The legendary performer reprises his iconic role as the captivating Frank-n-Furter across the UK, following a sold-out Australian Tour in 2024.
Having been seen by over 35 million theatregoers, The Rocky Horror Show is the story of two squeaky clean college kids – Brad and his fiancée Janet. When by a twist of fate, their car breaks down outside a creepy mansion whilst on their way to visit their former college professor, they meet the charismatic Dr Frank-n-Furter. It is an adventure they’ll never forget, filled with fun, frolics, frocks, and frivolity.
Directed by Christopher Luscombe, The Rocky Horror Show is the biggest party and features timeless classics, including Sweet Transvestite, Dammit Janet, and of course, the pelvic thrusting showstopping Time Warp.

Eastbourne Theatre’s summer production returns for 2026 with Richard Harris’ warm and witty tap-dancing comedy, Stepping Out, bringing joy and laughter to the Devonshire Park Theatre stage this summer for an extended run.
Mavis Turner runs a weekly tap class in a draughty church hall for a group of enthusiastic but decidedly amateur dancers. Among them are the shy, the anxious, the outspoken and the over-confident and each with their own reasons for being there.
As the class prepares for a public charity performance, tensions rise, friendships form and hidden talents emerge. Under Mavis’s patient guidance, what starts as a series of missteps and mishaps, gradually transforms into something quite special.
Stepping Out is a wonderfully funny and touching comedy about ordinary people achieving extraordinary things, this feel-good comedy is guaranteed to delight.
