編輯的話 歡迎！看了上次介紹的「陽台之於生物多樣 性」（參閱 Vol. 4）之後，讀者是不是也更加 好奇這次小編又要介紹陽台來了什麼樣可愛的 小訪客呢？蜂、蝶、蟲、鳥… 不過，根據我這些年來的經驗，不管動態或 靜態，最佳的拍照時間總是那些充滿陽光的早 上呢！。歡迎參閱「 Report No. 46 晨光下的 綠繡眼」。 最後， 小編仍然希望人們在看到本刊所載的 照片後也願意在他們的花園，陽台，或窗台上 種些樹。給樹澆水並不麻煩；觀察是如此有趣。 他們說：「如果把花園和各種植物帶回城市， 動物們也將回來」。在此祝大家母親節快樂！

No. 41 Potter wasp (Delta pyriforme) 黃胸泥壺蜂 搬泥來做巢 繼上次黃長腳蜂(paper wasp)在 九重葛枝條上用紙質的植物纖維做巢 後，這次則是黃胸泥壺蜂(potter wasp)在綠珊瑚樹幹上用潤濕的泥球 築窩。 前者做出一個個六角形組合而成的 蓮蓬頭，後者形塑出堆疊的陶罐子， 都讓我又驚奇又佩服。 除了兩種蜂窩不一樣外，育兒的方 法也不同：黃長腳蜂每天找新鮮肉團 餵幼兒，黃胸泥壺蜂則是一次把食物 塞到洞裡，之後不理它。沒看到最後 還真不知道哪種比較厲害，看完後只 覺得各有各的神奇…

1. Day 1, a mud nest of a potter wasp on the trunk of a pencil tree (Euphorbia tirucalli Linn) on my balcony in Taichung, Taiwan. 那天突然發現兩團土球黏在陽台的綠珊瑚樹幹上，原來是黃胸 泥壺蜂來築巢。泥巢(上土球)的口小，巢緣向外翻，而巢肚大，狀如壺 形陶甕，大概因此稱築巢者為「泥壺蜂」。泥巢的基座(下土球)應該是 另一個已封口的泥巢(1樓)。

2. Day 3, this solitary female wasp is laying an egg. 第三天，這隻優雅的獨居蜂（solitary wasp）把腹部末段伸進她築好的泥巢，正在 產卵。

3. Day 5, a green-color caterpillar is placed in the nest by the mother wasp to serve as food for a single wasp larva. 第五天，一隻綠色的鱗翅目(蛾或蝶)幼蟲被 綁架並麻醉到蜂巢裡，供做將來幼蜂孵出後 的食物。

4. 雌蜂採沙土伴水攪成泥球，然後夾在大顎和前 腳中運來做巢。有網友寫"啣泥築巢"，但根據我 的觀察，"啣"字似乎較不妥。產卵及儲糧完成後， 利用泥團封閉巢口(2樓)。

5. Day 7, the wasp is building another nest on the previous one. 以為沒事了，沒想到在第七天，她又回 來了，再多築一個巢(3樓)，疊在舊作品上。整個頭埋 進泥巢中，努力把泥球推上，正在做巢口，可以看到 剛上的泥塊還濕濕的，顏色較旁邊已乾的泥土深。翅 膀細窄，不用時會縱向收起。

6. Day 8, the nest is attacked by ants. 第八天看時嚇了我一大跳，一 堆螞蟻在蜂巢上奔走，大概是被巢中的食物所吸引來的。黃胸泥壺蜂 氣壞了，拼命搬泥球來，想快把巢封起來。

7. 夾在大顎和前腳中的泥球似乎稍有彈性。

8. 巢口似乎沒封完全， 卻在補強基座，我真是 替她擔憂。

9. 前胸背板黃色有似海神三叉戟(trident)圖 案，像義大利瑪莎拉蒂（Maserati）跑車的 徽章。腰(狹長的腹柄連接圓錐狀的錘腹)很 細，我一開始還以為是細腰蜂科(Sphecidae) 成員，其實是胡蜂科的蜾蠃(ㄍㄨㄛˇ ㄌㄨ ㄛˇ)亞科成員。黃胸泥壺蜂又名黃錐華麗蜾 蠃。築巢時頭部、觸角或腹部不斷晃動，似 乎很忙。聽說平時採蜜也總是一沾即離，不 斷改變位置，拍照不易，給人十分匆忙的印 象。

10. Day 22, a potter wasp nest showing an entrance (left upper corner) made by mother and an exit (right lower corner) made by a child wasp 最底下(1樓)的泥巢從側面開了一個洞，雖然沒親眼看 到，但應該是泥壺蜂寶寶已經長大，鑽出泥巢，展翅飛走了。又等了一 個禮拜，2樓及3樓都沒動靜，大概是被螞蟻攻擊到了，這真是大自然 的現實面啊。

No. 42 Yellow spotted stink bug (Erthesina fullo) becoming adult 黃斑椿象 成蟲一瞬間
1. Fifth instar nymph of yellow spotted stink bug (Erthesina fullo) becoming an adult on the undersurface of a leaf (Macaranga tanarius) on my balcony in Taichung, Taiwan 那天抬頭，忽然看到一個奇怪的 景像，仔細一瞧，原來是一隻黃 斑椿象的成蟲，懸在血桐的葉背， 正要從終齡幼蟲的軀殼鑽爬出來。

2 2. 像是從舊軀殼的背部，有一道 縱向的拉鍊被打開一樣。
3 3. 剛爬出的成蟲顏色是肉色的，我 猜身體是軟的吧。

4 4. 幾分鐘內，整隻爬出來了，還 從舊殼帶出幾根白絲。
5 5. One hour later, it became usual black color. 一小時再拍， 整隻已經變成常見的黑色，佈滿 灰或黃色的斑點和條紋，看起來 殼很硬，像是盔甲武士。

6. The old exoskeleton of Yellow spotted stink bug (Erthesina fullo) 終齡幼蟲的空殼被風吹落到樹下， 可以看到脫皮時帶出的幾根白絲、 失去光澤的灰黑色眼睛、膨大的 兩前隻、彎到腹側的觸角、以及 空殼的內在結構。

1. 那天早上忽然覺得這片葉子有 點怪，原來是來了一隻"黑點扁刺 蛾(又叫內點刺蛾)"的幼蟲。

2 2. 背中央有一條鑲藍邊的白色縱 帶。不細看，還以為只是葉脈， 真是超級偽裝術。
3 3. 兩側各有一枚或多枚紅色斑點。 整隻平行趴在香椿(Toona sinensis)葉子上，不容易被發現。

4 4. 白白像棉絮的東西，大概是牠 退下的皮。體側密生棘突有毒， 千萬別用手去摸。

1. 我發呆一下子後，才突然發現白頭 翁阿肥的身影在木棉的枝條上。

No. 44 Good news in time Light-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus sinensis) 白頭翁阿肥 捎來好消息 I have not heard any good news for too long, and I really need good news. 白頭翁阿肥不住我陽台以來，已四個月 不見牠的蹤影了，也沒預期什麼時候會再 相會。昨天中午出門前，把客廳窗簾撥開 一縫望著陽台小發呆一下，竟然看到牠就 停在木棉的枝條上。因為沒在動，我一開 始還沒發現牠呢。等到視線對到牠的身軀， 我才嚇了一跳，唉呦聲差點叫出來。 牠展翅伸懶腰，接著跳到藍花楹的枝條 上。看到這一幕，開心的眼淚都快滴出來 了。我太久沒聽到什麼好消息了，我很需 要好消息。

1. 早上似乎還好好的，到了晚上突然 發現這片欖仁的葉子被打洞鏤空了。

2. 原來是來了一隻台灣褐金龜 (Adoretus formosanus)。褐色的身體， 又大又圓的黑色複眼，超萌。

4. 無辜的大黑眼，似乎在說 "對不起，我把葉子吃掉了"。

No. 46 Japanese White-eye (Zosterops japonicus) in the morning light 晨光下的綠繡眼 1. Japanese White-eye (Zosterops japonicus) staying on the stick of Milk Bush (Euphorbia tirucalli) at AM 7:30 on my balcony in Taichung, Taiwan. 早上七點半，綠繡眼來了。先停在綠珊瑚 的肉質莖上。

2. And then she jumped on the stick of a cotton tree (Bombax ceiba). 之後她跳上木棉的枝條上。

3. Right after that, she jumped on the stick of Indian almond (Terminalia catappa). The overexposed photo was saved with a computer software. 緊接著再跳到欖仁樹的枝條上。照片過曝了，還 好用電腦軟體稍能救回。
4. The Japanese Whiteeye is a very active small bird. They almost always jump between branchs of trees: looking for food, pecking fruit, or playing hide-and-seek with theirs buddies, it's hard for my camera to catch them; Occasionally they'll be quiet, comb feathers, look into space, take a nap, and be my models. But according to my experience over the years, whether it is dynamic or static, the best time to take pictures is always sunny morning!
綠繡眼是一種非常活潑的小型鳥類，牠 們幾乎總是在不同的樹枝之間跳來跳去： 找食物、啄果子、或和夥伴們玩捉迷藏， 我的鏡頭很難追得上牠們；偶爾牠們會 安靜下來，整理羽毛、發呆、或打盹， 乖乖當我的模特兒。不過根據我這些年 來的經驗，不管動態或靜態，最佳的拍 照時間總是那些充滿陽光的早上呢!

A bug (Paradasynus spinosus) in Taichung, Taiwan 刺副黛緣 椿，觸角細長，末節有白斑，前 胸背板褐色，後緣隆起，側角小， 具銳刺，腹緣外露綠色，有氣孔 排列。
