Cornell Books, in the High Street, has been chosen as the setting for a brand new short film, ‘The Bookshop.’ The plot traces the story of a shy bookshop owner whose life is changed one day, by a customer who steps into the store and brings him out of his shell. It marks the directing debut of actress Susan Lynch - who appeared in the cult TV series, ‘Killing Eve.’ The main protagonist is played by singer and musician Tim Burgess, who is better known as the lead vocalist for ‘The Charlatans,’ a band which topped the UK album charts in the mid 1990s. Cornell Books, in the High Street, was closed for a few days while filming took place at the start of January. The building - which dates back to the 1500s - was the Wheatsheaf

The signatures of the popular singers The Beverley Sisters (who visited the pub in its latter years) can still be seen on the wall of the passageway leading to the shop. ly popular ‘One Show.’ Allwright, who is perhaps better known as the presenter of programmes such as ‘Watchdog’ and ‘Rogue Traders,’ spent some time sampling the delights of Tewkesbury during the summer. He tried his hand at making Tewkesbury’s famous mustard balls, visited the abbey where he was greeted by The Reverend Canon Paul Williams, called at Café au Chocolat for a super-

indulgent treat, stayed overnight at the luxurious Tewkesbury Park Hotel and enjoyed an al fresco snack at Back of Avon, before strolling around the Ham. Both the new film and the television feature should provide a welcome boost to the town by promoting it as a tourist destination. Tewkesbury was also seen on the BBC last year in the Antiques Roadshow and Antiques Road Trip series.

David Mamet will be known to some of our readers as a writer of film scripts and plays and this novel based in his birth city could well become a film. You can see the possibilities for conversion to the silver screen. The story is all about Chicago in the late 1920s. The city is a character in its own right, but there are two main personalities who drive the tale forward; Chicago Tribune reporters, Mike Hodge and his colleague and best friend, Parslow. We know, from the outset that Mike after falling in love with an Irish flower girl called Annie, witnesses her being gunned down; we discover how this happens, and the build up of their courtship. Mike is convinced he is to blame for her death, his investigative reporting having trodden on Mafia toes. He goes off the rails and is only saved from self destruction by his friend. We learn of Mike's war service, and witness the lives of the two reporters, their interchanges, often comic, adding to the story line. They are investigating the links between two apparent Mafia killings, the death of one of these victim's mistress, and other dubious goings on.

The Irish own the north of the city, while the south is the domain of the Italians and Al Capone. How all these crossing threads of the story link together help Mike to gradually uncover the truth to Annie's death while we the reader are lead down the paths of 1920s Chicago, jazz musicians, prostitution, and drug dealing are all mixed together in a very realistic image of a troubled city. There are some great characters littering the pages of this novel where one gets immersed in the city and it's nefarious dealings. Wrap up warm while you read about the Windy City, and remember to lock the door! An unusual story, one to immerse yourself in, in the warm security of your own reading room. Selected by: Ian B. Fundraising for Acorns Hospice Dear Tewkesbury Direct - the knitted animals are well on their way, and so far we have 1000 in hand. This is slightly up on the same time last year. Sadly, we have lost more of our knitters due to age and health-related problems. We thank them for their efforts in the past. We have had a fantastic response to our request for wool thanks to Tewkesbury Direct inserting an advertisement, and Louise from Tewkesbury Cards and Gifts organising the collection. The ladies who meet on a Wednesday morning at the knitting session held weekly in the

Roses Theatre now have enough wool for patterns - and we hope will produce many small Easter animals for us. We have lost two more of our sales outlets but gained two new ones - so fingers crossed! We are always on the lookout for new knitters and/or stitchers-up of the animals. Do get in touch if you have any wool tucked away, odd balls, part balls etc that we can make use of. The animals, complete with Cadbury’s

creme eggs, will be on sale from Friday 15th February until Easter which is later this year, so gives more time to raise money for Acorns Children’s Hospice in Worcester. 102 CHURCH STREET AND THE WILLIS FAMILY The Willis family arrived in Tewkesbury by 1850 from Winchcombe, writes John Dixon of Tewkesbury Historical Society. In 1855 four youngsters were “charged with stealing four Penny Loaves, committed to Gloucester Gaol for one month, with hard labour; two were to be “to be once privately whipped”. Originally based at 40 Church Street, they had moved to 102 Church Street by 1868. Three generations were successful bakers, all named John. They were Non-Conformist Liberals and the second son was Mayor twice from 1906-1908. He was also one of the magistrates who fined a suffragette – not for her speech but because a flag obscured her number plate! By 1925 they had bought Orchard House on Barton Road. Until recently that was the Nurses’ home at the hospital (now the Devereux Centre) The commercial HQ was known as Prince Edward’s House – where it was believed the Lancastrian heir was murdered after the Battle of Tewkesbury. The building survived as a bakery until 1952. In 1965 most of the buildings at the Cross were modernised - but only the ground floors, with the historic upper floors sensitively preserved. 102 now houses “Folk2Folk” – interestingly “we match local businesses looking for loans with individual investors.” More on page 9

Guest speakers at railway society Tewkesbury YMCA Railway Society welcome two guest speakers to their club nights this month. January daffodils blooming in Beckford

SPRING SPRUNG EARLY? Tewkesbury Direct Reader Daisy Binks was surprised to come across these daffodils in bloom when she was out walking in Beckford last month. They’d raised their yellow heads in the centre of the village on January 3rd - which is remarkably early for the Gloucestershire/Worcestershire border. “I’ve seen them this early in Cornwall, said Ms. Binks, but never this far north. The postcard from 1912

Derek Round has a splendid photograph collection, writes John Dixon. This postcard (left) shows a van belonging to Willis, the Baker, at the Cross. Luckily the one of the older 1912 van is a postcard with legible writing on the back. Written in 1912 and signed “from Frank,” we wondered if the driver was a Willis, but our clue came from WWI research. The Tewkesbury Register of 1918 reported that “Rifleman Frank Woolley has been missing since 23/03/1918. He joined up as a baker, formerly with Willis confectioners.” With the enhanced photo I think the male on the right may be 19-year-old Frank. The card is written to his aunt, Mrs. E. Eyles, mentioning that “Beat is quite a fine girl.” Frank Woolley did have a sister, Eliza, who married John Eyles in 1894. Lo and behold, they had a daughter, Beatrice Mary, born in 1895 in St Mary’s Lane. Frank also wrote: “Harry is at Aldershot...” He did have an older brother, Harry, a professional soldier, by 1911 serving with 55th Battery Royal Field Artillery. Naturally we wanted to know more about the proud van driver “to which I am promoted.” It is not a happy story. Frank was missing in that infamous German great attack of 1918 and became a POW, returning home in 1919 to the Mayor’s welcomehome party. We next tracked him down in 1939, living unmarried at 12 Mill Bank - but described as an ‘invalid.’ Indeed, a year later, he died aged only 45. His niece, Kathleen Johansen (nee Woolley), remembers that the family believed he had been gassed. One of his fellow casualties was found gassed in a French hospital. It looks as though this proud young man of 1912 died before his time because of war injuries - but too late to be included on the War Memorial or given a CWGC headstone. As with so many he survived the war, suffered but his fate and service was unrecognised. John Dixon and Derek Round, T.H.S

Tewkesbury Park’s golf members raise £8,802 for Help For Heroes, and The James Hopkins Trust Tewkesbury Park’s golf members, have raised a substantial amount for two well-worthy charities; Help for Heroes and the James Hopkins Trust, have received £5,461 and £3,341 respectively. Spearheading the fundraising efforts was Tewkesbury Park Golf Club’s Club Captain, Gavin Offord, who organised a charity golf day late last year. Members and friends were very generous, digging deep, to contribute through a series of initiatives including a raffle, auction, entry fees and sponsorship of the day. Representatives from both charities visited the hotel for the presentation of their cheques. Ria Heap, community fundraiser and volunteer co-ordinator, for James Hopkins Trust, said; “We’re extremely grateful, the £3,341 would be enough to cover care for three children for a year, and 30 respite sessions!” Rhys Edwards, area fundraising manager Wales, N.I & West Central, for Help for Heroes, said; “Thank you so much to Gavin, his team, all the players and Tewkesbury Park for this fantastic fundraised amount of £5,461. Help

for Heroes believes that those who put their lives on the line for us, deserve a second chance at life. We provide lifetime support for the Armed Forces Community and are here to unleash the expert minds, skilled bodies and courageous hearts of Veterans and their Families.” The James Hopkins Trust was established in 1989, in order to provide care for babies and children up to the age of five who have a life limiting or life-threatening condition while supporting their families. Currently, they help support over 90 children in Gloucestershire. Help for Heroes supports those with injuries and illnesses attributable to their service in the British Armed Forces, regardless of when the person served. Courses and activities aim to empower them to look beyond illness and injury, regain their purpose, reach their potential and have a positive impact on society.

Tendonitis Tendonitis means inflammation of the tendon. It is a sound diagnosis for many repetitive and sporting injuries. However, it is not always the most useful diagnosis when trying to establish a treatment and management routine. Firstly, the tendon involved in the injury needs to be specified, then the cause for this tendon inflammation needs to be reasonably deduced. Inflammation can be caused by direct injury or by an increased use or tonicity of the muscle associated to the tendon. Decreasing the inflammation of the tendon directly and then freeing the tendon to allow more movement in the area are the best ways to treat the condition and stop it from coming back. Decreasing inflammation is usually attained by the use of

ice, medication and sometime dry needling/ acupuncture. Freeing the tendon is usually achieved by gentle stretching of the muscle and sometimes some joint mobilisation is also required. Sadly, I treat many reoccurring tendonitis complaints and this is often due to the cause of the tendon irritation not being addressed. The other reason is the once the pain eases it is very easy to forget to use ice and do the stretches you need to. Pain is always the end point, so once the pain has eased there can still be some resid-

The track from Laverton to Buckland Neither village is on a ‘through route’ and as there are no inns or major attractions, they are well off the tourist trail. Although the route is fairly easy going, some of the paths are also bridleways - so they can be muddy at this time of year. Park carefully in Laverton village, which is off the B4632 Toddington to Broadway road. At the top of the village, where lanes meet and there is a triangle of grass in the road, look for a path on the left which leads past a phone box (1) which is now used as the village library!

Walk along this good track, until you pass a farm on the right (2) and then emerge on to the village street at Buckland (3). Turn right and walk up this rather lovely nothrough road. Look out for Buckland Rectory one of the earliest buildings of its kind in England - and further along, on the right, the fascinating galleried parish church which serves both villages. Behind this is Buckland Manor, now an upmarket hotel. As the street bears left to ascend the hill, walk ahead on to a track (4) and after a short distance turn right (5) and through a gate, so the grounds of Buckland Manor are to your right. Follow the routemarkers across the fields and through the gates until you meet a track coming down from the Cotswolds (6). Turn right and follow the lane back down into Laverton Village. The nearest refreshment facilties are in Broadway

Triumph Martial Arts are introducing a new children’s class teaching the Korean sword art of Haidong Gumdo. Designed to be a fun and informal take on the full adults class, the classes introduce young students to martial arts and training in a controlled and safe environment. Instead of the traditional wooden practice swords, the children use foam safety swords, under the supervision of UK Head Instructor Harry Limer and the Black Belts of TMA. Haidong Gumdo has been steadily garnering interest in the UK following several successful national seminars and successes at international competitions. STONEWARE FLAGONS Victorian Tewkesbury had a much greater attachment to the beer, wine and spirit trade than the modern town. Through the period, there were four breweries (ignoring the many brew-houses attached to large houses) and a great many hotels, inns and taverns. These are quite well researched and recorded. As if this didn’t give enough alcohol purchasing opportunities, the town also supported wine and spirit merchants, some of whom had extensive businesses. These were for wholesale to pubs as well as ‘off sales’ to the gentry of the area. Wine was bought and sold in bottles, but spirits and fortified wine were bought in bulk and decanted into stoneware flagons for storage and display. Flagons came in a wide variety of shapes

Tewkesbury and set up in Cheltenham. Apart from the fact that he was a Town Councillor, there’s little further information about him or his business. The second, larger, flagon is marked ‘Vernon & Co, Tewkesbury’ and is number 6. Thomas Vernon is a name which crops up a lot in Tewkesbury affairs. He imported spirits regularly from Porto, via Avonmouth, and in large quantities. In October 1852, for instance, he imported 6

and sizes. These are two from the Museum’s collection. They are both of the same rather elegant shape and probably made in Bristol. Both have the merchant’s name stamped into the jar, so were made specifically for that customer. The first is marked ‘T. Orme, Spirit Merchant, Tewkesbury’. The jar is numbered 407, so he must have had a lot of stock. Thomas Orme lived in Twyning. He must have had an interest in livestock as well, because at the 1841 Christmas Exhibition of meat he won a prize for an extraordinarily fat pig. In business, he was in partnership, with J C Gummer until 1835, G.M. Sadds and T. Heach until 1841 and GM Sadds until 1842, when he left business in

puncheons, 12 hogsheads and 32 quarter casks of spirit; mostly brandy and port. This amounts to 2,376 gallons. Thomas Vernon traded from the distillery; a rambling building built for making gin which occupied what is now the garden of the Black Bear. He traded variously as Vernon & Co, Vernon & Banaster and Vernon Banaster, Cosens & Co. Whilst the main business was wine and spirits, trading as far away as Monmouth and Stroud, there was also a small brewery on the premises. Thomas Vernon died in 1848, but the business continued to trade using his name. An attempt was made to sell up in 1866, but it wasn’t until 1870 that a buyer could be found. The buyer was Bayliss and Merrell, who ran the business for 50 years but without the gin distillery. It then became Gaze’s dairy before the buildings were demolished to make the beer garden. The auction particulars from 1866 list the stock, which includes a prodigious quantity of wine and spirits together with the plant and equipment, and even the horse. It includes ‘a Large quantity of jars and bottles’.

The 2874 Trust owns ex Great Western Railway Heavy Freight locomotive number 2874, built in 1918 and aims to restore this locomotive and hire it to Heritage Railways for the enjoyment and education of the general public. The locomotive will be unique in operation as it is the only one of the class restored in the asbuilt form with internal steam pipes. Supported through the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), the project will enable local people of all ages to become involved in heritage engineering either hands-on learning new skills or developing existing expertise to

ensure there is a skilled workforce available to keep alive Britain’s steam heritage. Work projects will range from an introduction to restoration, for example, saving badly worn and rusted metalwork, to the highly technical manufacture of components from base castings, working to the drawings from more than a hundred years ago. Commenting on the award, David Foster, Chairman of the 2874 Trust said: “We are thrilled to have received this support thanks to National Lottery players and are confident the project gives us opportunities to extend heritage

skills and introduce them to a new generation helping to ensure a long-term future for Heritage locomotives and perhaps along the way we can encourage some to make a career in engineering.” Significant work undertaken to date includes stripping the locomotive to allow full appraisal of condition and to identify the work required for restoration, the inventory of parts present and to identify those required plus the acquisition of a number of required items. Tewkesbury VIPs At Tewkesbury VIP club meetings we have a lovely time. It all happens on the first Thursday of each month from 2 to 4 pm at Tewkesbury Baptist Church. We enjoy some very good and varied musical entertainment with pop songs, music from shows and films that everyone knows and can join in with and sing along. For the interval teatime Tewkesbury School provide us with delicious homemade cakes and we have hot and cold drinks to suit all tastes. Individual birthdays are celebrated with a card and a small gift. You don’t get many presents when you are in your eighties and nineties!. We also have a raffle with prizes generously donated by local retailers. Members can be transported to meetings by trained volunteers for a small cost or they can make their own arrangements. The club is organised for those who might be lonely and have difficulty getting out and meeting people as well as people who have restrictive visual or mobility problems. The train was heading to Malvern on the line that was closed in the 1960s. Today the old station building is still there but our comparison view from the railway bridge shows it to be now partially hidden in a glade.

Do you have memories of Ashchurch Army Camp? ‘Over paid, over-sexed and over here,’- the familiar label given to American soldiers based in the U.K. during World War Two; however, this was not how the G.I.s based at Ashchurch Camp, located to the East of Tewkesbury, were viewed by the local people of this Gloucestershire town. During the Second World War the base at Ashchurch became the home of the vehicles of the R.A.O.C. and the REME, but early in 1942 plans were put in motion for it to be used as an Ordnance General Supply Depot by U.S. forces- the first installation of its type in the U.K. In July of that year the first American ordnance unit arrived at Supply Depot G-25. The depot, covering 868,336 square feet of storage space became an assembly plant for military vehicles and equipment that had been shipped over from the U.S. to the U.K. in crates. It was also responsible for receiving, storing and issuing equipment and supplies for five of the seven military services: O r d n a n c e , Quartermaster, Signal, Engineer, and Chemical Warfare. A large number of U.S. Ordnance, Engineer and Quartermaster units were based at the camp for varying lengths of time. As the numbers of servicemen grew, Northway Camp, which lay adjacent to the main camp, became occupied by black engineer units. Segregation rules in the U.S. stated that black and white troops could not be quartered together. It also meant that it was necessary to designate black and white soldiers different evenings to spend their off-duty time in Tewkesbury town. On the whole, the

For their part, the G.I.s were generous to the local people and many of those who were youngsters during World War Two remember the ‘friendly invaders’ from the U.S. with fondness. The children were not the only sector of the population to be impressed by the smartly dressed and relatively well paid (compared with their British counterparts) American soldiers. At the end of the war a number of G.I brides from Tewkesbury sailed over the Atlantic to join their husbands in the U.S.A. In the early part of his talk Mr Velzeboer showed a very instructive video explaining the technicalities of fracking - so called because the process fractures rock thousands of feet below ground to release natural gas trapped in the rock strata. Many people think from all the recent publicity that fracking is a very recent development but in fact it has been used all around the world for over 60 years to extract oil and gas. Certainly in the USA it has transformed the American economy so that the USA is now a net exporter of oil and gas rather than relying on the volatile sources of the Middle East and eastern Europe. Fracking is undoubtedly controversial and the main issues in the UK are people’s concerns about earthquakes caused by the fracturing process deep below ground, the perceived pollution of underground water sources by chemicals used in the process and the effect on the environment. Our speaker went to

Seasoned Fire Crew Manager, Richard Lockwood, completes 23 years service In November, local man Richard Lockwood retired from Tewkesbury Fire service after 23 years of being on call. Actively involved with raising money for fire fighters charities, Richard also spent much time training crews for incidents on land, but also for boat and river incidents too. A presentation was made to him of a mounted fire axe from his colleagues, Richard said he will miss the comradeship of his crew mates, but as he runs his own home heating company, he will never be very far away from the heat.

Anyone for Cricket? Bushley Cricket Club start indoor net practices this month on Sunday mornings and would welcome players of any ability, or none for that matter! The men’s team play friendly games on Sunday afternoons throughout the summer and the ladies play in the Worcestershire league usually on Monday evenings. Both teams use the sports hall at the same time but use separate nets, plus one set up with our bowling machine to give consistency for rusty or novice batsmen. Interested? MITTON W.I. January’s meeting was primarily for renewing memberships and welcoming new members to our group but we did manage to get a couple of games of bingo in aswell. There were a lot of notices for our chairman to get through with many group and county events arranged for the coming year. Mitton WI will be taking part in the County Quiz beginning in March - we have high hopes!! We are also hoping to arrange another trip to Eastnor Pottery during the summer as our last visit was very much enjoyed by all. The February meeting will be on 4th Feb and we will be having a talk on Yellowstone National Park, learning about the area and its wildlife. Future events include a chance to learn a few steps of morris dancing and the ups and downs of raising alpacas. New members very welcome to come along and join us. SEVERN UNIT MVS CALLED OUT AT YEAR END When Head of Severn Unit Maritime Volunteer Service Nic Price received a telephone call from Avon Lock keeper Nicola Lancaster that a boat had caught fire between Twyning and Tewkesbury and needed assistance the Unit immediately responded to the emergency request. Head of Unit Nic Price said “It was late in the afternoon of the 30th December when the call came and we were told that the owner had managed to extinguish the fire but the boat needed towing back to Tewkesbury. By then it was dusk but a crew of three MVS members Tim Huckvale, David Peet and Will Fish responded immediately and took our cruiser Minerva up river to look for them. The boat was located beached half up the bank and tied to a small tree. The MVS crew was able to pull her off the bank and take her safely in tow back to Tewkesbury. Regional Head of Seamanship Tim Huckvale said "We regularly train on the river so that our unit members can deal with this type of situation but having to do the job in the dark makes it even more difficult and we were pleased how well the operation went and that everyone aboard the stricken vessel was safe and well.” After the excitement at the year end the Unit celebrated the start of

2019 with their annual New Year Quiz held on the 7th January. Members enjoyed this social evening with quiz questions and a light supper. A full pro-

gramme of activities is planned to take the Unit to the end of the Winter and they also continue with their regular boat patrols when conditions permit.

John Moore’s family home was the Tudor House from where John could observe the lives of individuals in the town especially those of Double Alley. He then based many of the characters and events in his books on what he had seen in the town. He loved Tewkesbury, its buildings, the Ham, the people, the alleyways and the pubs! He was also an early conservationist concerned about the use of pesticides on our wildlife and countryside. The 'John Moore Museum' in Church Street is well worth a visit. Before the Oldbury Field was developed in the first half of the nineteenth century, there were no roads into the area except Chance Street, which was probably a farm track. The High Street ‘back lane’ was Oldbury Road, and the Barton Street ‘back lane’ was East Street. Neither would have been more than footpaths. With development, from the 1820s, the roads were made and new access roads created. The first were from the High Street; Trinity Street and Sun Street. Nelson Street came a little later, sometime after 1855. The street was created by demolishing a row of houses between two alleys. Those were Nailer’s Alley and Thomas Alley. The Nailer’s Alley properties were all demolished, but the Thomas Alley cottages now front Nelson Street, on the east side. The ‘front House’, occupied by the Thomas family, is now the Eastern Eye restaurant. The remnants of the alley can be seen as a ‘nib’ protruding into the Nelson Street pavement. The demolished Nailer’s Alley contained five nail shops and three cottages as well as a coal yard behind a ‘front house’ on Barton Street. In 1848, when the freehold of most of this property was auctioned, it was noted that the shops were leased to Thomas Weyman for ten years at £12 per annum.

nails of all sorts and sizes.” The Midland Mining Commission painted a much less nostalgic picture in their report of 1843 after disturbances in the main nail-making areas of Bromsgrove and Dudley: ‘The best forges are little brick shops of about 15 feet by 12 feet in which seven or eight individuals constantly work together with no ventilation except the door and two slits, a loop-hole in the wall. The majority of these workplaces are very much smaller and filthy dirty and on looking in upon one of them when the fire is not lighted presents the appearance of a dilapidated coalhole. In the dirty den there are commonly at work, a man and his wife and daughter, with a boy or girl hired by the year. Sometimes the wife

carries on the forge with the aid of the children. The filthiness of the ground, the half-ragged, half-naked, unwashed persons at work, and the hot smoke, ashes, water and clouds of dust are really dreadful’. Nailers were among the poorest and most exploited of workers. The Rev. Edmund Butcher passed through Tewkesbury in 1805, on a journey to Chester, and remarked on the nailmaking. He said that the persons employed were, in general, so rude and savage that it was scarcely deemed safe for the other inhabitants to go into their quarter, especially if any umbrage has been taken against them by any of the nailers. This seems unusually harsh. There is no other evidence, from the Borough Courts, for instance, to suggest that nailers were more lawless than other

For many years, the line of Nailer’s Alley was the west pavement of Nelson Street. The street was widened in the 1980s, though, and the old Nelson Inn, plus the cottages behind it which formed Nelson Alley were also demolished. Nelson Alley has completely disappeared, and

the new building line follows what would have been Huntley’s Court. The only trace of the original buildings, though, is 1, Nelson Street. This has been partially rebuilt, but was once at the top of Huntley’s Court. Look carefully at the gable, and the infill to the alley can be seen in the brickwork. Like so many cottage

It takes a lot of imagination to hear the distant clang of hammers on anvils when walking down Nelson Street, but the nails made there are probably still holding pieces of Tewkesbury together.

More folk music events have been announced for Tewkesbury’s historic Old Baptist Chapel. On Friday 21st June the medieval building will host a ‘folk treble’ featuring Kim Lowings, Town Musicians of Bremen and singer-songwriter Mike Weaver. At the end of August, Bristol folk quartet Road Not Taken will play the venue as part of their album launch tour, and on Friday 29th November international recording artist Sarah McQuaid will return for a special winter concert. Help is on hand at the Two Rivers Recording studios at Knightsbridge, near Tewkesbury, where you and your band members can benefit from a free two year artist development programme. The scheme is being staged in conjunction with MAS Records, run by musicians who want to put something back and give a helping hand to the next generation. You will receive free studio time to rehearse with the support of a top quality producer and engineer, as well as being involved in photographic and video shoots to promote your band, and having access to mentoring to keep you on track. There are no catches or hidden small print. All musical content remains the property of the writers. "This is a great opportunity enabling youngsters to develop their music skills as well as learning about the business side of the music industry and how it operates", comments Ian Horley proprietor of Two Rivers.
