I was excited to go back to school because I wanted to see my friends. I also wanted to learn new things. I was also excited for the school nachos.
My favorite teachers are my social studies and science teacher. Recess is fun because all of my friends are there, and we scream for no reason and just run on track.
The main reason I am excited to go back to school is to show off my new outfits, make new friends, and meet my new teachers.
SANAI
Even though I am a very shy & fun girl at times, I am a leader who wants to own my own business one day.
My favorite things to do are dancing, tumbling, karate, playing with my friends, and eating. My favorite food to eat is grilled cheese sandwiches. When I get older, I would like to become a professional dancer.
I love spending lots of time with my daddy! He is my favorite person because he loves me and comes to see me in my dance class.
Once, I went to see Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at the Fox Theater in Atlanta. When the show was over, I took a picture with three of the dancers in the hotel lobby.
If I could change the world, I would do it by giving homeless people my change so they can have something to eat and a place to live.
Micaela
I’m a very creative, extroverted person. Super bubbly and upbeat 92% of the time.
I am not afraid to voice my opinions or get “too political”. I’m unapologetic about my views. I’m pretty loud and I enjoy meeting new people.
I’m definitely a big dreamer and I’m awfully silly, but in a good way (I think..)
Also, I love to read, hang out with my friends, scrapbook, go shopping, etc.
Who is the most important person in the world to you?
Me! This is my life (duh) so it revolves around myself, of course, I’m so swaggy!
Who or what inspires you?
My circle of friends. I strongly believe that you are the company you keep and that’s why I aspire to be like my friends; they’re all very successful and overall great people to be around. I love them so, so much.
If you could change the world, how would you do it?
Well, the world is in an awful place right now. One thing I would definitely change is war. Big wars between countries are so dramatic and unnecessary. If world leaders decide they have beef with each other, they should have one-on-one duels with each other like real men. So dramatic, I swear!
I’d like to be a Barbie doll because they can do anything and everything! But the truth is, I don’t really know yet, probably something in the arts.
When you get older, what would you like to become or do? What is next for you?
Once I graduate high school, I’d like to go to college or some sort of trade school. I would love to go to school away from home so I can get a feel for a different area.
TYLER
TALKING TYLER PODCAST
I like making people laugh and feel good. I love making people smile, especially little kids. It’s fun to bring joy and excitement wherever I go.
I enjoy learning new skills. I love photography and I also dress up as characters and mascots for parties and events.
God, my mom, and thinking about being successful in life inspire me the most!
I talk to God all the time, and He helps guide me.
I love playing video games, hanging out with my friends, playing football, and spending time with my family.
Starting my podcast has been one of the most exciting things!
I’ve met a lot of new people and learned about different jobs and careers I didn’t even know existed. It’s opened up my mind to new possibilities.
I have also gotten the opportunity to meet a lot of exciting people through the cultivating minds program.
Becoming successful and leaving a legacy for future generations really inspires me. I want to build something now that others can be proud of later.
If I could change the world, I would end all the discrimination that Black people face. I want everyone to be treated equally and to feel safe and respected, no matter their skin color.
I have thought about owning a businss a lot. I want to start my own clothing brand, and I’ve already been working on some ideas. I think it’s cool to express yourself through style, and I’d love to create something that other people connect with.
I’ve been feeding the homeless with my mom twice a month since I was four years old. I also go to nursing homes during the summer to read to the elderly. Giving back is really important to me. I believe in helping people, especially those who are often forgotten.
Now I am in high school. Next, I want to go to college and get a degree in engineering. I’m really interested in how things work, and I want to build or create something that makes a difference.
I love dancing, cooking, hanging out with my friends, and talking to God . I would describe myself as kind, caring, creative, collaborative, empathetic, affectionate, and driven.
The most
important person
to me is my Mom. She has done so many amazing things for me.
I have seen her accomplish so much. She has always been there for me and I really admire her!
If I could change the world, I would make sure that everyone is happy by helping people stay mentally and physically healthy.
My family and friends inspire me. They encourage me to do what I love and support me for who I am.
Next for me is college! I would love to attend an HBCU, continue dancing, meet new people.
