... They say water is the source of life and health. The source of the now large imaginary TEREZIA river began to spring forth thirty five years ago. My philosophy of life was always: „If you want to achieve something, you must have a goal, go after it, and never give up.“ It was only when I became seriously ill that I realized that when your health leaves you, achieving your goals becomes very difficult. I became more interested in nutrition, which led me to medicinal mushrooms and plants, but I also wanted to help others. This resulted in the development and launch of the unique set of VEGI vegetable seasoning blends without sodium glutamate. As one of them contained the healthy oyster mushroom and had a positive effect on the health of customers, this was an impulse to create a separate food supplement containing the whole dried oyster mushroom. Oyster mushroom in capsules were unique in 2004 because it was a completely new product in the form of a food supplement, and it opened a new segment of food supplements containing medicinal mushrooms and plants in the pharmacy market. The TEREZIA river flow created a completely new riverbed, opening the way for oyster mushroom growers and their competitors. The TEREZIA brand remained strong, traditional and Czech, and it gradually expanded its product portfolio with other healthy mushrooms, either on their own or in combination with herbs. Today we have over 90 products in our portfolio. Our philosophy is to give people the maximum amount of effective natural substances in their most natural form, processed using the gentlest technology and without chemical additives. Thanks to our innovative approach, which we have kept from the beginning, all our products are the result of our own development and are produced in our own certified production facilities. Each batch of ingredients is thoroughly analyzed by independent laboratories, and the quality of our products is confirmed by other certificates from reputable institutions to ensure that TEREZIA is the right brand for the health of your entire family. Even after 35 years, TEREZIA did not abandon its philosophy, and it turns out that this was the right choice from the beginning. Today, TEREZIA is a strong brand that you can come across in the entire pharmacy network, especially in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. High-quality ingredients always come first High-quality ingredients are the basis of all products. Because we produce food supplements that are really intended to offer the human body something and help, it is logical that the raw material is the most important thing we care about. Each natural ingredient we use for our products comes from long-term proven suppliers, mostly from the EU. Each ingredient has its own country of origin where it occurs naturally and where it is of the highest quality. Our company is trying its best to get the ingredients from these places for you and to provide you with the highest possible quality. We are in regular contact with our suppliers, so they are not anonymous. We regularly verify whether our required standards are still at the highest possible level. In terms of mushrooms, many of them are cultivated directly for us. Thanks to our cooperation with university specialists, we use special strains with the highest content of active substances. We have the ingredients for each batch of products tested in an independent, certified laboratory for the content of active substances, and we also perform a microbiology analysis and test them for heavy metals and other substances. Only then can they be transferred to production, where they are processed into a final food supplement under very strict hygiene conditions in our own certified production, which meets the strictest criteria. Our products are evaluated by an independent institution, the National Institute of Public Health in Prague, which issues a product safety certificate. The vast majority of manufacturers do not undergo this process, but we want to be sure that we aren’t giving our customers anything that might be harmful to their health. Chemicals that are contained in certain dietary supplements have been shown to be harmful to human health. We therefore don’t use any preservatives, added food colorings or chemical binders that only accelerate the production process. We prefer purity and quality. 5
We use whole mushrooms and not extracts Each mushroom contains a unique complex of beneficial substances. During extraction, only one single substance (e.g. beta-glucan) is recovered from the mushroom and all the others are unnecessarily lost. That is why we always use whole mushrooms to preserve the natural harmonic combination of all health-promoting substances as nature has “blended” them, thus maintaining the synergistic effect. For example, our 100% dried oyster mushroom contains not only beta-glucan, but also lovastatin, mushroom fiber, vitamins B, D, C and K, and trace elements of copper, chromium, zinc, selenium, iodine and many other active substances. A distinguished professor and expert on medicinal mushrooms, Mr. Chang, said that a mushroom extract such as beta-glucan is a mere soloist, but the whole mushroom with all the active ingredients is a well-coordinated symphony orchestra.
