REMEMBERING REMEMBERINGC C

Our Beloved mother Carolyn Ruth Fountain was born September 8th, 1948, the eldest of 5 children born to Hazel & C. Richard Fountain in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Growing up in Greater Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church singing in the choir or serving on the usher board, could always be seen hanging with a cousin or 2 or 10. Until her family moved to Fontana California in 1964, the family attended First Baptist Church of Fontana, where she continued her studies graduating Fontana Highschool class of 1966. Our mother attended Riverside Community College studying business, while working at Lily Tulip cup factory. She would later meet Airmen Paul Colvard in San Bernardino California and with this union in marriage they would 2 children Rosalyn & Paul II.

Through their travels in the military. She worked several jobs as a Civil Servant from working in the mess hall and commissary. After her husband retired, they settled in Fayetteville, North Carolina where she worked CIF for many years. As empty nesters Carolyn & Paul would relocate to Pensacola, Florida taking a position at NAS school supply until she retired. Soon after she would return to the workforce at the Navy Exchange until retiring again.

Carolyn was full of life, she loved to dance, could probably out electric slide everyone in the room even with a bum knee. She loved James Brown and was his biggest fan, the Blues and Jazz were her favorites and learned to appreciate the music her children listened to. There was a time she could be seen a mile away always wearing some of the loudest bright colors to her children's event so we could not only hear her but spot her in the audience.

Throughout her years as a wife, mother and grandmother she prayed for her children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Being the child of God, she served many positions at here various churches from usher, choir member, assisting with youth ministries.

Her pride and joy was honoring the veterans at the annual Veteran's Day program. As the lead planner she poured her heart and soul into every detail of the program at every church she attended.

First Baptist of Warrington was her home away from home, she loved her Pastor Dr. James H. Miller, Sr and first Lady Mary. Volunteering her services at many church functions.

In her later years Carolyn enjoyed Senior Tuesdays at Ross, but yet never learned how to take stock in Ross, Bealls or Cato's. She enjoyed sharing meals and movies with her dear friend Ronnie Posey. And not a day went by without her fussing at or about her bonus son Thomas Lewis.

Preceding her in death is her husband Paul, mother Hazel, 3 brothers Frankie Sr, Joseph and Terry Fountain. and dear friend Ronnie Posey.

Left to cherish her memory her children Rosalyn & Paul II. Her father & wife C.Richard and Gloria Fountain. 1 brother Richard Sr. 4 grandchildren T'pring Russell, Janaya Mosby, Eugene Johnson, and Paul Colvard III 1 Aunt Bernice McNeil 1 sister-in-law Pauline & husband Columbus Barnett 2 bonus children Thomas Lewis and Demenica Jackson. Don’t Cry For Me Don’t Cry For Me

Don't cry for me now I have died, for I'm still here I'm by your side, My body's gone but my soul's is here, please don't shed another tear, I am still here I'm all around, only my body lies in the ground. I am the snowflake that kisses your nose, I am the frost, that nips your toes. I am the sun, bringing you light, I am the star, shining so bright. I am the rain, refreshing the earth, I am the laughter, I am the mirth. I am the bird, up in the sky, I am the cloud, that's drifting by. I am the thoughts, inside your head, While I'm still there, I can't be dead.
