TENNIS EUROPE NEWS European Championships special edition
A frenetic summer of flagship Tennis Europe junior events has seen new European individual and team champions crowned across all age categories. This six-week period from the end of June to mid-August saw 240 national Summer Cups teams crisscrossing the region, competing at 34 qualifying groups in 10 member nations. In between, 700 of the continent’s top players were also in
action at the European Championships, the Tour’s most prestigious event where 13 former and current world #1s feature amongst the previous champions. On the following pages, you’ll find extensive reports from both events, as well as updates from all of Tennis Europe’s other activities from the summer months.
