The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 represents a transformative shift in the country’s education system. It aims to establish a more holistic, dynamic and multidisciplinary approach to learning. The Dawn Art and Craft book is thoughtfully designed to ignite creativity, nurture artistic expression and strengthen fine motor skills in young learners. Each activity encourages hand–eye coordination, dexterity and finger control—skills that form the foundation for a confident writing grip, smooth strokes and letter formation in the future.

Children are introduced to a delightful mix of art forms and techniques, such as tracing, colouring, printing, craft, clay modelling, tearing and pasting and paper folding. This variety keeps the learning experience fresh and exciting while building confidence and encouraging experimentation. Every task opens a door to creative discovery and skill enhancement.
The book features Teacher Tips for creative classroom ideas, Caution notes to ensure safe practices, and engaging Did You Know? facts to spark curiosity. For selected activities, QR codes provide step-by-step video demonstrations, making the process clear, interactive and child-friendly. These additions transform every activity into a safe, enjoyable and holistic learning experience.

Aligned with the themes recommended in the NEP 2020 and NCF, activities connect with familiar and age-appropriate topics such as colours, shapes, fruits, vegetables, animals, festivals, family, nature, seasons, space, transport and the neighbourhood. This thematic approach ensures continuity with other subjects and strengthens cross-curricular learning.

Bright, cheerful illustrations capture children’s attention and invite them to explore each page. All activities are designed using low-cost and easily available materials—ensuring that creativity is always within reach, both in the classroom and at home.
