Huntington residents enjoyed a warm, sunny spring Sunday, May 7, for the Sheep To Shawl Festival and Muster Day at the Arsenal on May 7 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Held at the Dr. Daniel W. Kissam House and across the street at the Arsenal and Village Green, families and children were treated to live sheep shearing demonstrations, as well as carding, spinning, weaving and knitting decorations and garments. Live violin music was also present, along with petting areas for sheep and llamas, a variety of vendors with historically significant items, and live dancing by the Ohman School of Ballet. Muster Day featured the Huntington Militia with a men-at-arms drill firing muskets and a cannon, an open campfire and a tour of The Arsenal historical location from the Revolutionary War.
