LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

The TASIS Dorado Leadership Academy, a Stubbe Family Legacy, is designed to elevate and refine leadership qualities, including innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaborative problem-solving. After a rigorous application process, selected students will identify strengths, recognize essential personal goals, and explore and apply design thinking while establishing a foundation of leadership skills and self-awareness through a variety of seminars. The Academy also includes the opportunity to travel abroad to explore a global issue while leveraging their acquired skills at the Global Leadership Summit. Finally, students receive professional internship opportunities and focus on capstone projects using design thinking to tackle real-world problems.

EXPLORATION WEEK

Exploration Week is offered during the second semester as a required program for all high school students. It has two components: an integrated, academic mini-course emphasizing experiential learning/apprenticeship with an expert practitioner and a service-learning opportunity to develop virtuous character and leadership skills. Students engage in four day-long sessions of academic seminars and a full day of service-learning on Day 5.

INNOVATIVE SCIENCES

Our students thrive in today’s digitally-driven world and are well-prepared for a rapidly evolving future. In 2016, the school opened an MIT-certified STEAM Fab Lab equipped with a CNC machine, laser cutter, 3D printers, and scanners. In 2019, an Innovation Sciences Department was launched to make students proficient in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Design and Applied Technology (DAT).
