Graduation Ceremony THE TASIS SCHOOL IN DORADO

To Our Guests WE WELCOME YOU TO TASIS DORADO’S HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION CEREMONY. Thank you for joining us tonight to celebrate this solemn but joyful recognition of the graduates’ years of study. The ceremony will be recorded by professional videographer Wilo Rosado and will be viewable within ten days at youtube.com/tasisdorado. To commemorate this milestone occasion, we have two professional photographers to take photos of each graduate. For your convenience, the ceremony photos will be viewable and downloadable free of charge at our photo gallery https://tasisdorado.smugmug.com/2020-2021/Graduation2021/ within three days after the ceremony. Additionally, photographer Cecil Pedrosa will be taking official photos of each graduate, which can be purchased. If interested, please email Cecil Pedrosa at cecilphoto@yahoo.com. To avoid congestion and to maintain decorum in the ceremony, we ask that family members refrain from approaching the stage when taking pictures. Members of the audience are asked to remain in their seats throughout the ceremony, so they do not disrupt the program or interfere with the special moments of others. In order to enjoy the ceremony to its fullest, we ask you to please turn off all electronic devices and refrain from leaving the theater until the ceremony has ended and our graduates have exited the theater. When the Processional begins, we ask that you rise to welcome the Class of 2021. Remain standing until all the seniors have reached their seats and during the performance of the National Anthems. Thank you for your cooperation. We hope that you will enjoy the ceremony and celebrate the achievements of our students.

Founded in 2002, The TASIS School in Dorado is affiliated with the American School in Switzerland (TASIS) and is sponsored by the Federico and Priscilla Stubbe Foundation, a not-for-profit Puerto Rican Corporation. TASIS Dorado is located in Dorado, Puerto Rico, and is an independent, non-sectarian, coeducational, not-for-profit, collegepreparatory day school where English is the primary language of instruction while also actively promoting the mastery of multiple languages from PPK to Grade Twelve.

The TASIS School in Dorado is licensed as a private school by the pertinent governmental licensing agency, the “Consejo General de Educación de Puerto Rico.” It is also accredited by the Middle States Association of College and Schools and by the “Comisión Acreditadora de Instituciónes Educativas” (CADIE). The TASIS School in Dorado admits students of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Alumni Guest Speaker Sofía Blasini Frontera | Class of 2017 Sofía Blasini ’17 is a soon-to-be graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University, having completed a double Bachelor of Arts in Government and Sociology with a concentration in American Politics and a minor in Inequality Studies. As a TASIS Dorado student, Sofía was consistently involved in leadership and service roles; most notably, she was a member of the National Honor Society and a representative in the Student Council, graduating as Senior Class President. Moreover, Sofía was recognized as a High Honor Roll student and was presented with the Priscilla Stubbe Student Leadership Award at graduation. At Cornell, Sofía has continued her service-oriented path, serving as president of the immigrant rights advocacy club Friends of Farmworkers, and assisting its executive board since her junior year. She has also worked as an ESL tutor and translator for undocumented migrants in the central New York state area. Sofía was further granted a position in The Cornell Tradition, an alumni-supported fellowship program that promotes and finances campus and community service. In two days, Sofía will be graduating with the rest of the Class of 2021. Subsequently, she will begin exploring a vocation in law and policy: her work as a legal intern and policy analyst throughout her undergraduate years has driven her decision to embark on a career in service by first becoming a JD Candidate.
