Special Required Training Opportunities
Evaluating and Improving Student Outcomes (EISO)*
This research-informed session will highlight practices and tools to help boards understand the current state of student learning, cast a compelling vision with meaningful goals, and oversee the improvement efforts in their districts. Trustees must complete this three-hour training within 120 days of election or appointment and then every two years. The Evaluating and Improving Student Outcomes (EISO) training is provided in accordance with TEA requirements. As a TEA Authorized Provider, TASB must document attendance and ensure compliance with all training requirements. Participants must attend and actively participate in the full three-hour session to receive EISO credit.
Child Abuse Prevention: Recognition, Reporting, and Response ** Session covers mandatory child abuse prevention and reporting requirements, helping trustees, educators, and school staff recognize signs of abuse and fulfill their legal responsibilities. Participants will also learn what comes after a report is made to CPS, law enforcement, and SBEC, examining coordination among agencies and employee management considerations during pending investigations. Required within 120 days of election or appointment and then every two years, this session educates trustees on recognizing and preventing child abuse, human trafficking, and other maltreatments, as well as ensuring student safety.

Small School District Seminar This dedicated program is designed specifically for trustees and leaders serving small districts.
