YOU ARE MISSED BEYOND ALL SPACE & TIME! I LOVE YOU!

Introduction

I have found that by simply cooking for my dogs, they’re happier, healthier and have FAR LESS trips to the veterinarian’s office!

Based on tons of personal research, and my connections with friends in the animal industry; I’ve been blessed to be able to interview as well as have direct access to them for questions and advice.

It was after the loss of my soul dog Butchie, on March 24, 2020, so much information started to pour into my life concerning dog health, and the importance of nutrition! That’s when I made it my mission to help others.

Did you know that kibble is one of the biggest reasons why our dogs suffer from so many issues? It’s horrible for our fur babies! Like skin allergies, cancer(s) and brain tumors just to name a few!

Let’s face it, there are lots of options out there available to feed our canine family members. I know for many, including myself, I can’t afford $600 plus to purchase the advertised “human grade ingredients” to feed my two 70 lb. dogs.

I’ve purchased a couple of them [Pet Plate which is backed by Shark Tank and a local option, Just Food for Dogs here in OC].

I also looked in to purchasing from thefarmersdog.com and that would cost me $157 per week to feed one of my 70 lb. dogs!!

While my dogs will eat the food, I tried it and it’s not tasty and again, it’s expensive!! When you’re in a pinch for time, that can be an alternative to have for backup (instead of kibble) but on the daily, it’s pricey and definitely not in my budget and is probably the case for many others.

I know for myself and most dog owners that would be out of the question to spend that much on their feast!

There is a lot of great data around about feeding our canines a raw diet as well. Unfortunately, raw food is also expensive, and I personally would only trust giving my fur-babies raw food that came directly from a reputable rancher. On occasion, I will purchase the raw rabbit and ground organ meats, etc., from the local ranchers at our farmers markets, to give to my fur babies as a special treat, but it is very pricey!

How I Feed Them

So, this is how I do it:

I shop the local grocery stores and buy their meats when they’re marked down and I’ve been known to find some crazy ridiculous deals! Sometimes a one (1) pound pkg of ground turkey for 79 cents! Yes, you read that right, 79 cents!! Most often I find deals of $1.99 or less per one-pound packages of meat.

If you don’t ever see meat marked down at your local grocery store, I would inquire with the meat department about when they mark down their meats so you can come back at that time.

Based on advice from several naturopaths, it is advised that we add calcium and some organ meats for proper vitamins and minerals.

Based on nutritionists, expert advice and scientific data, Colostrum6 Superfood provides the added nutrients to have a well-balanced diet. I’ve found it gave me the solution to the natural nutritional needs with added benefits for my fur babies and for my peace of mind. I strongly encourage adding this supplement to your dog’s meals!

With the supplementation of Colostrum6 Superfood, in addition to the diet outlined in this book, I’m now saving thousands on vet bills!!

There are several types of colostrum available on the market, however there is only one, #1 Certified 6-hour colostrum supplement (3rd party tested) with GMP certification, which is the only one I personally recommend.

This Superfood supplement contains Protein, Vitamins, Minerals & Calcium, and is proven to be safe for young, adult and senior pets alike.

Using Colostrum6 as a supplement fills the dietary gap:

• Natural probiotics

• 87+ natural growth factors

• 95+ immune factors

• Fatty acids & amino acids

• Glyconutrients & vitamins

• Ensured Bioavailability

• Organic & Natural

These are the profound benefits:

• Improves skin irritations

• Supports healthy blood sugar

• Promotes healthy breathing

• Supports immune system

• Improves joint mobility

• Aids in digestion

I personally believe that this Superfood supplement, in addition to the high protein and fiber diet, is saving me thousands of dollars on vet bills!

Proper nutrition, exercise and prevention can save so much money but even more importantly, you will get more years to spend with your fur baby!

I miss Butchie every day, still! When our animals touch a certain place in our hearts, there is nothing that can replace that emptiness when they are gone!

I wish I knew years ago what I know now!!

I hope that you find the information and recipes in this book to be helpful and a great resource.

Don’t forget the most key ingredient is LOVE!

Sending Abundant Blessings to you and your fur babies,

HELP YOUR DOG LIVE A LONGER, HEALTHIER HEALTHIER LIFE WITH GOOD DOG

Nutrition

This book is written especially for dogs who weigh 30 lbs. or more.

Smaller dogs have more sensitive systems and will require a different menu. Please look up your breed if you have a smaller dog for specific needs.

I do know the Colostrum6 has remarkable benefits for all dog breeds, sizes, and ages.

Creating Happy, Healthy Dogs with each meal.

It is assumed that your dog's health is normal and that she/he is getting regular daily exercise which is important for most favorable health.

It is believed that a diet high in protein & fiber will provide our furbabies with optimal health and allow them to live longer, healthier & happier lives.

Keep in Mind:

When transitioning your dog’s food/diet from kibble/dog food to cooked foods, it is recommended to slowly introduce them over a period of 1-2 weeks.

It’s advised that you only add one new item per week in order to confirm no allergies before adding to their established diet regimen.

I recommend purchasing a food scale to properly measure the gram amounts of ingredients in this plan. It doesn’t need to be exact however it is a great tool to have on hand to use especially until you’re familiar with how much to give.

ALWAYS be sure your dog drinks plenty of water as Hydration is very important for overall well-being.

The results are astonishingly scary!

Every living mammal's health starts in our gut, so just like us humans, our pup-dog’s gut health is just as important!!

Unfortunately, each year about 6 million dogs in the US alone will be diagnosed with cancer.

It is my desire to help change those statistics by educating dog owners about the importance of prevention.

It is believed that by adding Colostrum6 to your dogs nutritional foods, this will create the optimal diet to sustain dog health & longevity.

“Small̶̶Healthy̶̶Habits̶̶add̶̶up̶̶&̶̶compound̶̶into̶̶a̶̶Better̶̶Quality̶̶of̶̶Life” ~Michael̶̶D’Auler

Surely by now, you’ve got to be wondering -- what about the Crude Protein and Amino Acids that are listed on kibble and other dog foods?

If you’re like me, you want to ensure that your dog is getting all his proper nutrients!!

Well, what exactly is crude protein in dog food and why is it in there?

After doing some research, I’ve found that, at the heart of the matter, it’s just protein (supposedly), but we’re actually moving from the known to the unknown with this terminology.

Proteins, which are known to be the building blocks of life, actually contain useful nutrients consisting of smaller 22 amino acids (10 are considered essential while the other 12 are considered non-essential).

What’s the difference, you ask? Essential amino acids are not produced naturally by the body therefore man and animals must consume it from the food they eat in order to be healthy.

The use of crude protein has been in existence for centuries. It was first developed by Henneberg & Stohmann as far back as 1860 as a small part of a much bigger process used to classify animal feed at that time. The crude protein test was developed to chemically determine the amount of nitrogen in the food.

So, is the crude method still relevant today?

With advancements in dog and food nutrition in the last 100+ years, surely there are more modern and better ways to provide supplemental nutrition to our beloved furbabies, besides crude protein! Not to mention, their method to test for these crude protein levels has been found out to be unreliable!

Without going farther down that rabbit-hole, and after doing endless amounts of research as well as recommending and seeing the miraculous results myself and with many other clients during these last 2 years, I recommend adding the Superfood I mentioned as a supplement to the meals/dog recipes in this book to ensure that all nutritional requirements are met and/or exceeded!

Colostrum6 has proven to improve skin irritations, promote healthy breathing, improve joint mobility, aid in digestion, nutrition absorption among a whole long list of other benefits!

I have also found that by providing these low carb, high protein and fiber diets with this supplement, that I am now saving thousands of dollars by not having to frequent the veterinarian’s office anymore!

Protein, vitamins, probiotics, minerals, calcium, fatty and amino acids and over 100+ essential factors delivered via a patented technique in order to cross the blood-brain barrier.

And, it has a natural coating that protects from stomach acid and ensures bioavailability with no contraindications.

Prevention is Key:

I recommend adding 1 tbsp of the Superfood to your dog's daily diet.

Please DM me for assistance with ordering the recommended colostrum Superfood.

Dogs will be dogs: Sniffing.

Letting them sniff during their walks is just as important as how far they physically walk, as it provides them with mental stimulation as well!

Pup-dogs like to read their local newspaper while also writing their own segments in it too. If you smell what I’m stepping in! (Pun intended!)

Depending on the breed, mental stimulation can be crucial as certain breeds that do not get enough mental & physical exercise can show up as negative or aggressive behavior. It is important to research and learn about the breed of dog that you are parenting.

GENERAL RULES

Choose your fat to cook with:

Butter

Coconut Oil

Proteins most often used:

Eggs: Cooked and/or raw feeding.

Packed with protein & rich in essential amino & fatty acids, including A & B12. Provides health benefits such as improved skin & coat health to stronger teeth and bones.

Beef Liver:

ONLY 1-2 per week for little, 3-4 for med & 5-6 for large dogs.

Nutrient boost for dogs that have been injured or sick. Cleanses the blood of toxins. This is a great protein to add to a diet for a rescue that may have been malnourished as this can be a game changer in getting them back to optimal health.

Beef: All forms of red meats.

Chicken: Breasts, can & ground.

Turkey

Salmon

Tilapia

Fiber sources:

Apples: aka nature’s Benadryl.

Apples are a great source of Quercetin which is a flavonoid that helps fight off harmful effects of allergies. Quercetin is an antihistamine that can reduce irritation, redness & inflammation. Adding apples to your dogs diet can give them an extra anti-allergy boost. Free radicals build up in the body & can cause chronic inflammation, leading to chronic disease & premature aging.

The vitamins your dog gets from apples can help to protect against damaged cells by way of antioxidants. Apples contain Vitamins C, A, Pectin, Polyphenols & Fiber. Granny Smith apples are lower in sugar & therefore recommended. Be sure to clean off the skin of the apple to remove any pesticides of other contaminants from stores, handling, etc. Feed the skins as they are nutritious.

Avocado: Only feed the flesh - NOT THE PIT OR SKIN.

Full of vitamins & minerals and boost the absorption of vits A, D, K & E.

Beets: (Only to be fed in moderation)

Great source of vitamin C, fiber, folate, potassium. Supports immune digestion * immune system as well as healthy skin & coat.

Black Beans: Rinse & cook to remove salt content.

Super source for vits C & K, protein & iron.

Blueberries & Blackberries:

Superfood(s) rich in antioxidants which prevent cell damage, support immune system & contribute to overall health.

Broccoli:

Nutrient rich in vitamin K, calcium & potassium. Vitamin K promotes strong bones & higher bones density.

Recommend slow introduction of broccoli to your canine as it can cause some mild to severe gastric irritation in some dogs.

Cabbage:

Carrots:

High in fiber and beta-carrotene, which produces vitamin A and aids in eye-sight.

Chickpeas:

Filled with lots of nutrients such as Vitamin K, zinc, copper, folate, phosphorus, selenium and more. Plenty of protein & high levels of fiber.

Cranberries:

Only give in very small amounts. Can aid in bacteria from sticking to the urinary tract or gut lining.

Green Beans:

Full of iron & vitamins.

Lettuce Balls (Brussel Sprouts):

Full of vitamins, antioxidants & fiber to reduce inflammation. Some dogs (esp. smaller dogs) it may cause gastrointestinal issues so proceed with caution and only serve small amounts.

Pumpkin:

Loaded with fiber and beta-carrotene. Helps with digestive & GI health.

It’s recommended to only feed about one tsp per every 10 lbs. though.

Sweet Potatoes:

Vitamins A, B6 & C.

Only give in small amounts due to the higher carbohydrate content.

Yams:

Remove the peel and cook.

Same as with sweet potatoes or any potatoes for that matter, they are high in carbs and therefore should be kept to a minimum.

Safe Spices your dog can eat:

Basil

Dash of Black Pepper: Unless taking meds.

Cinnamon Ginger

Parsley

Rosemary:

This herb is proven to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial benefits and is a great preventative to common deadly dog diseases (cancer, cognitive function, digestive and heart issues). Rosemary aids in preserving food and is also used as a potent flea, tick and mosquito repellant. Calcium, Iron and other essential vitamins are also in Rosemary.

Turmeric:

Anti-inflammatory, helps with pain reduction & increased ease of mobility.

Chia Seeds: ½ tbsp for every 20 pounds.

Naturally boosts energy & endurance. Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A, B, D & E, minerals, fiber, protein & calcium. Chia seeds were once used by the Aztecs & Mayans as a staple food.

The nutrients support your dog’s skin, joints, immune system, vision, brain development, healthy digestion and so much more!!

Toxic/Dangerous Foods for All Dogs:

Onion:

Onions contain a chemical N-propyl disulfide, which attaches to the oxygen molecules of the canines red blood cells, causing oxidative (oxygen) damage!!

Garlic:

Similar to the above onion issue, causing oxidative damage.

Chocolate / Cocoa Powder:

Negative effects on kidneys, nervous system & heart.

Grapes / Raisins:

Nutmeg

Salt:

Can lead to a number of serious health issues, such as pancreatitis (which can be fatal).

Note: It is very important to watch your dog’s physical cues when introducing anything new to their diet.

Some negative reactions may consist of:

• Snarling at their dish

• Turning up their nose

• Bow in front of their dish without consuming

• Barking at it

Positive reactions to look for may be:

• Eating it without reservation

• Licking their lips before served

• Licking their lips several times after eating

• Get the zoomies before/after eating

• Wag their tail in excitement

• Nose in the air with excitement

• Whining from anticipation

• And the obvious, Drooling! (LOL)
