SFX Easement Work
EGLE Emergency spill response

Earlier this week, Taplin responded to a small but damaging petroleum spill on a Lake Michigan Beach down in Michiana, the source of which turned out to be a discarded keg of grease that had washed up on shore The drum recovery and shoreline cleanup were a success Part of that success was a result of an ingenious modification to one of our easement machines to allow the crew to traverse slopes down to the beach, load the grease keg and drums of contaminated sand and then transport the materials safely back up to the road from the otherwise inaccessible location The result was a fast and effective spill response that saved the client time and money and prevented further contamination

This equipment modification was quick thinking by our fleet management and shop crew and their ability to assess the problem, fabricate a solution and get it done so quickly speaks to the talent of the team. The client was thoroughly impressed with the ingenuity and the job was completed safely Huge kudos to Brian Williams and his crew and everyone involved in this response!
Just another example of doing #WorkThatMatters and how having an effective team working together makes all the difference in project success. Innovative strategies and sustainable solutions - it's what we do here to get the job done!
