Tittle McFadden Public Safety Center

The City of Lewisville’s Tittle McFadden Public Safety Center is a newly constructed 116,000 square-foot facility that now serves as the home for the Lewisville Police Department, Fire Station #1, and their respective administrations. The center represents a major step forward for the city’s public safety infrastructure.

Project Goals

The client sought to modernize their decadesold facility with updated furniture solutions that emphasized clean lines, minimal storage, ergonomic flexibility, and long-lasting durability. With over 100 employees utilizing the space daily—and departments known for heavy wear-and-tear—it was essential to provide high-performance products that could endure rugged use while maintaining a professional and contemporary aesthetic. Height-adjustable stations were required across offices and workstations, and emphasis was placed on functionality and adaptability in emergency environments.

Our Approach

• Tangram collaborated with BRW Architects and consulting firms Peak Program Value and 720 Designs to deliver a comprehensive furniture package tailored to the demands of public safety

professionals. The team focused on sourcing and installing heavy-duty, performance-driven solutions, including laminate finishes and robust seating options.

A centerpiece of the installation is the custom HOT EOC table, purpose-built for the Emergency Operations Center. This table is designed to accommodate multiple AV configurations, including computers and monitors, enabling realtime coordination during citywide emergency responses.

Results & Impact

The new Tittle McFadden Public Safety Center reflects the City of Lewisville’s investment in the future of its public safety operations and community engagement. The furniture installations support critical functionality while aligning with the client’s design vision of simplicity, efficiency, and resilience. Tangram’s solutions have helped create a space that not only enhances daily workflows but also ensures the city is better prepared to serve and protect its residents for years to come.

“When we began designing our new Public Safety Complex-set to house both our Police and Fire Administration-we knew we were embarking on one of the most significant projects in the history of the City of Lewisville, and possibly all of North Texas. Lauren from Tangram took the lead-and she exceeded every expectation. She met individually with each Police and Fire group to ensure every department’s specific needs were understood and addressed. Despite a tight deadline, Lauren coordinated the ordering process efficiently to align with our building’s opening schedule.

The furniture installation was impressively seamless. Raul, the on-site foreman, provided detailed daily progress reports and ensured everything stayed on track. Lauren remained onsite as well, always ready to assist and ensure nothing was overlooked. Her level of communication was especially remarkableany time we had a question, she had the answer. Her attentiveness even extended to small, thoughtful gestures, like making sure our Police Chief had a cold Diet Coke waiting when he moved into his office.

Thanks to Tangram and Lauren, our transition into the new facility was smooth and stress-free. The public has given us numerous compliments on the furniture and the overall aesthetic of the complex. City of Roanoke Municipal & Court Building

The City of Roanoke’s new Municipal and Court Building marks a significant milestone in the city’s continued investment in modern civic infrastructure. Designed by GFF in partnership with 720 Design Studio, this state-of-the-art facility brings together administrative offices, public service areas, and specialized law enforcement functions under one roof. Tangram was selected to deliver a comprehensive furniture package supporting the city’s vision for a timeless, durable, and highly functional environment tailored to the unique needs of the Roanoke Police Department and civic staff.

Project Goals

The City of Roanoke aimed to replace an outdated facility with a modern municipal space that would:

• Meet the evolving needs of police, court, and administrative staff

• Provide a professional, yet approachable public interface

• Incorporate durable materials suitable for longterm use

• Showcase modern design sensibilities with minimal maintenance

• Support collaborative workflows while enhancing individual workspaces

A key directive was to ensure the space was functional and inviting while standing the test of time—both in durability and aesthetic.
