THE LION'S DEN Tanglin Trust Lions Shine in Dubai 7's Netball Tournament
Our Tanglin Netball 18&U Lions recently had the incredible opportunity to travel to Dubai and compete in the prestigious Dubai 7's tournament. This marked a historic moment as the first time a Tanglin Trust School team participated in this event, and the girls rose to the challenge with skill, determination, and team spirit. Day 1: A Strong Start The tournament, held from Friday, 29th November to Sunday, 1st December, began with our Lions facing tough competition in the Open Youth category —the highest level for their age group. On the opening day, the team showcased their resilience and skill, achieving two wins, one draw, and one loss. Day 2: Overcoming Challenges Day two brought more intense matches, and the Lions continued their spirited performance, adding two more wins to their tally while facing a single loss. However, the day was not without challenges. One of our players sustained an injury, requiring hospital treatment. Despite this setback, the team made swift adjustments and pulled off another impressive win, earning their place in the quarter-finals.
