GREETINGS FROM TAMARACK
As we prepare for another summer season at Tamarack Resort, there is a great deal of excitement and momentum across the resort. Each year, Tamarack continues to evolve as a four-season destination community, and this summer marks one of the most significant expansions of recreation, infrastructure, and residential offerings in recent memory.
One of the most anticipated additions this season is the opening of the new Tamarack Resort Marina on Lake Cascade. The Marina represents a major step forward in continuing to connect the full Tamarack experience from mountain summit to lake shoreline. Featuring 100 boat slips, on-water fuel service, a public beach and swim area, and expanded motorized and non-motorized rental offerings, the marina will become a new center of activity throughout the summer season. We are especially excited to expand summer programming through Tamarack Sports School with wakeboarding, wakesurfing, paddleboarding, and lake-based instruction designed for guests and families of all experience levels.
Across the resort, construction activity continues to reflect strong demand for ownership and long-term investment in the Tamarack lifestyle. Momentum is building quickly, and with available inventory becoming increasingly limited, opportunities to own at Tamarack are more sought-after than ever. The first Aspen Townhomes are nearing completion and are expected to be move-in ready by early summer, representing another important milestone in the continued growth of the residential community. Guests and owners can once again look forward to a full calendar of signature events and weekly programming throughout the season, including the Northwest Cup Downhill Race Series, Big Mountain Enduro, Art & Wine Festival, Bikes, Brews & Bluegrass Festival, Oktoberfest, live music, Nine & Dine golf evenings, yoga programming, and a variety of recurring events across the Village, mountain, and marina.
This summer will also introduce several new recreational experiences, including a new 9-hole putting course on the Osprey Meadows social green, expanded youth programming, additional family activities, and enhanced waterfront food and beverage offerings at the marina. These additions continue to strengthen Tamarack’s position as America’s only ski, golf, and lake resort while creating new ways for owners and guests to gather, explore, and enjoy life in the mountains.
What continues to make Tamarack special is not simply the growth itself, but the way the community continues to come together around shared experiences throughout every season. HOMEOWNER PROFILE THE STEPHENS FAMILY
For Danielle Stephens and her family, Tamarack Resort has become more than a second home—it has become the place where nearly every season revolves around family, recreation, and time together outdoors.
Danielle, her husband, and their two children split their time between Meridian and Tamarack, spending nearly every winter weekend at the resort. Between ski team practices, race events, and family ski days, Tamarack has become deeply woven into the rhythm of their lives.
“We’re up there almost every weekend during the winter,” Danielle said. “The kids are involved in ski programs, we’re constantly on the mountain, and it’s become such a huge part of our family lifestyle.”
Originally from Jackson, Wyoming, Danielle grew up skiing nearly every day. Although she later spent years snowboarding competitively—including time on a snowboard team—she made the switch back to skiing about five years ago.
“I loved snowboarding, but once I switched back to skiing, I realized how much I missed it,” she said. “Now I can’t imagine going back.”
The family’s connection to the area dates back more than a decade. Around 2010, Danielle and her husband

purchased land in Donnelly and watched Tamarack evolve through every phase of its growth and redevelopment.
“We really saw Tamarack through all of its different stages,” she said. “Watching where it is today—and where it’s headed—has been incredible.”
Today, the Stephens family owns a residence in the Village and embraces the resort’s four-season lifestyle year-round. While winters are centered around skiing, summers on Lake Cascade have become just as important.
“We probably spend 75 percent of our summers up there,” Danielle said. “Boating, hiking, biking, running, spending time at the marina—it’s become our favorite place to be.”
With a marina slip secured for the summer season, the family now transitions seamlessly from ski season to surf season.
“It really is the best of both worlds,” she said. “Winter is skiing and mountain life, and then summer becomes boating, wakesurfing, and lake time.”
Their children have also become deeply involved in Tamarack’s youth programs. Danielle’s daughter, Kora, participated in the race and travel team under Coach Fish, while her son Atlas joined the development team with Coach Tim.
“The coaching programs have been amazing for our kids,” Danielle said. “Not just for skiing, but for confidence, friendships, and feeling connected to the mountain community.”
Danielle also credits the Tamarack community itself as a major part of what makes ownership special.
“There’s a real investment here in people and families,” she said. “It’s not just about owning property—it’s about creating a lifestyle and community.”
Although work and travel schedules currently keep the family based near Boise and the airport—Danielle works as a travel advisor while her husband works in software sales—their long-term goal remains simple.
“If we could live at Tamarack full time tomorrow, we probably would,” she said.
Looking back, Danielle says there’s only one thing she would have done differently.
“Our biggest regret is honestly not doing it sooner—and not buying more,” she laughed. “Owning at Tamarack was on my vision board for years. It really was a dream come true. And somehow, it’s been even better than we imagined.”

Summer operations at the marina will run daily between Memorial Day and Labor Day, with the 2026 season officially operating from May 22 through September 7. Seasonal boat slips are available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis and can accommodate boats up to 30 feet in length, including ADA-accessible slip options.
Beyond slip rentals, the marina has been designed as a fully activated waterfront gathering place for owners and guests alike. Visitors will have access to pontoon boats, surf boats, jet skis, standup paddleboards, kayaks, and additional lake recreation equipment through the marina’s rental operations. The Beachside Store will serve as the marina’s central hub for check-ins, retail items, lake essentials, guest services, and seasonal food and beverage offerings.
The marina also significantly expands Tamarack’s summer programming opportunities. Through Tamarack Sports School, guests will have access to wakeboarding, wakesurfing, paddleboarding, and additional on-water instruction designed for both families and recreational enthusiasts. Q: THE NEW MARINA IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST ADDITIONS TO TAMARACK THIS SUMMER. WHAT EXCITES YOU MOST ABOUT OPENING DAY?
ERIK: The marina really completes the Tamarack experience. We’ve always been known for the mountain in the winter and golf in the summer, but now we’re bringing the lake fully into that equation in a much bigger way. There’s going to be a completely new energy on the waterfront this year with boats, lessons, beach activity, food, events, and families gathering down by the water every day.
The scale of what’s opening is exciting too. Between the 100 boat slips, on-water fuel service, public beach and swim area, rental fleet, and expanded programming, this is a major addition not just for Tamarack, but for Lake Cascade as a whole.
Q: AS DIRECTOR OF MARINA OPERATIONS, WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR THE MARINA MOVING FORWARD?
ERIK: A big goal for us is building a marina experience that feels active, welcoming, and integrated into the rest of the resort. We want the marina to become a place where owners and guests spend entire days—not just somewhere to launch a boat.
That means creating a strong mix of recreation, instruction, food and beverage, family programming, events, and service. We want people to feel like the marina is another central hub of the Tamarack experience, just like the Village or the mountain.
Long term, we want Tamarack to become known not just for skiing and golf, but also as one of the premier lake recreation destinations in the region.
Q: WHAT KINDS OF ACTIVITIES AND EXPERIENCES WILL GUESTS FIND AT THE MARINA?
ERIK: We’re building a really broad summer program around the marina. Guests will have access to both motorized and non-motorized rentals, including wake boats, pontoons, paddleboards, kayaks, and other watercraft. One of the things I’m personally most excited about is expanding our instruction and coaching through Tamarack Sports School. We’ve always joked that winter is for skis—summer is for boards. Now we finally have the ability to really build that culture on the lake side with wakeboarding and wakesurfing lessons for all ages and ability levels.
Whether someone is learning for the first time or already loves being behind the boat, we want the marina to feel approachable, active, and family-oriented.
Q: HOW IMPORTANT IS THE MARINA TO TAMARACK’S BROADER SUMMER EXPERIENCE?
ERIK: It changes the rhythm of the entire resort in the summer. Guests can spend the morning golfing at Osprey Meadows, ride bikes or hike in the afternoon, and then finish the evening at the marina with food, music, or sunset boating on Lake Cascade.
That’s what makes Tamarack unique. Very few places can offer mountain, meadow, and lake experiences all in one day without ever leaving the resort.
The marina also creates opportunities for more family programming, youth camps, group events, and weekly activities throughout the summer season.
Q: THERE’S ALSO A MAJOR DINING COMPONENT PLANNED FOR THE MARINA. WHAT CAN GUESTS EXPECT?
ERIK: We really wanted the marina atmosphere to feel relaxed, social, and tied to being on the water. The food and beverage experience is going to lean into a fun Hawaiian BBQ-inspired style with grilled food, fresh flavors, casual lakeside dining, and a laid-back summer atmosphere.
After spending the day on the lake, being able to grab food near the beach, listen to music, and watch the sun go down over Lake Cascade is going to become a huge part of the experience down there.
Q: WHAT DO YOU HOPE OWNERS AND GUESTS TAKE AWAY FROM THE MARINA THIS SUMMER?
ERIK: I hope people see that this is just the beginning of what the lake experience at Tamarack can become. The marina is more than boat slips—it’s another major step in continuing to build a true four-season destination community.
It creates another place for people to gather, spend time outside, and make memories together. That’s what Tamarack has always been about, and now we get to extend that experience all the way to the shoreline.
