TAFE at Schools Gold Coast Region Taster Program - Health Course Description Taster Programs are run one day per week for nine weeks (one term). Students gain a deeper understanding of the Health industry which may assist in making an informed decision when choosing a TAFE at School Program or continuing with further studies in the future This program is comprised of 4 Units of Competency including First Aid. The program has been designed to fit around your other high school subjects, allowing you to get a head start on your health career while maintaining your studies. It is important to note that successfully completing this program will not give you a formal qualification or any Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) credits. However after completing the Health Taster Program you may want to continue your training with a TAFE at School qualification and get a head start on your health career pathway while you're still at school.

Students to meet TAFE QLD staff in the Foyer on Level 1 (Ground Floor).
Selection Criteria This program is offered to year 10/11/12 students currently enrolled in and attending a State, Private or Independent School in Queensland.

Students are required to wear a black polo shirt, long black pants and black enclosed shoes. If you fail to meet these minimum standards of dress, you will not be permitted entry into practical classes. Students should bring basic stationery supplies (pen, pencil, paper or notebook, eraser)
