TAFE at School Gold Coast Region Barista Taster Program
Course Description Kick start your career learning the basic skills and knowledge required to begin your journey in the hospitality industry. This course offers you an introduction to hospitality and develops your skills and knowledge preparing you for your start in the industry. You will learn about food hygiene and safe work practices, and how to prepare and serve espresso coffee and non‐alcoholic beverages. According to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook service, experienced waiters, café workers and other hospitality workers are in high demand. Strong future growth is predicted in these areas with over 200,000 job openings expected over the next five years.

This program is offered to Year 10 and 11 students currently enrolled in and attending a State, Private or Independent School in Queensland.
