Step into the world of contemporary music creation, performance and production. Coomera Rock School gives high school students an immersive, hands-on experience of what it’s like to study music at a tertiary level, guided by industry experts at the Coomera Creative campus.

What you’ll do
No prior production experience needed, just passion and willingness to participate.
Across two days, students rotate through three immersive workshop streams:
Dates: 6–7 July, 2026 Time: 8am – 4.30pm Location: Coomera Creative campus, 198 Foxwell Rd, Coomera Eligibility: High school students Cost: $70
Songwriting & Production Collaborate to write and produce an original track while learning modern production workflows and studio creation techniques. Songwriting & Performance Co-write and prepare a song for the stage, developing rehearsal skills, musical arrangement, collaboration and stagecraft. EDM Production Create beats using a DAW and explore electronic music fundamentals, sound design and beat-making.
Showcase event The program concludes with a Listening Party and Live Gig, where students perform and share the songs and productions created!

Pathways at Coomera Creative campus Students will experience the same environment supporting pathways such as: • CUA30920 Certificate III in Music • CUA50820 Diploma of Music*, Sound Production and Performance streams • ARB403 Bachelor of Creative Industries (Contemporary Music Practice) These programs offer clear progression from school to tertiary study and creative careers. *This qualification is superseded. A transition period applies to enable current students to complete their study. Students who have not fully completed this qualification prior to this date will be transitioned to the replacement qualification.
