TAFE at School Gold Coast Region Career Taster Construction Trades Program Description Get hands on and explore a future in construction through this practical, skills focused program. The 9-day program begins with a one-day orientation and safety induction, followed by eight days of handson trade experience across Carpentry, Plumbing, Cabinetmaking/Shopfitting and Landscaping. Students complete real projects suited to varying skill levels and guided by experienced trade educators, gaining a genuine insight into each trade and potential career pathways. Delivered by industry specialists, the program emphasises collaboration across trades and includes industry engagement opportunities such as guest speakers and apprentice insights. The experience concludes with a celebration
recognising
student
achievements
and
showcasing
their
work.
