Self-Appraisal (RPL) HLT37015 _RPL_SA_TQB_v1 Certificate III in Sterilisation Services

Building a Safer Health Workforce, Together Feeling Overwhelmed? Here’s What You Need to Know About RPL We understand that starting the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process can feel daunting, especially when you see the list of tasks and evidence required. Please be assured that the RPL process is designed to recognise the skills and knowledge you already use every day in your role as a Sterilisation Technician or similar position.

Most candidates discover that they already perform most of the tasks listed in this form as part of their regular work. The self-appraisal is simply a way for you to reflect on your experience and help us identify which units you may already be competent in. You’ll be asked to provide examples and evidence from your workplace, such as documents, supervisor references, or records of previous training to support your application.

What to expect: • • • •

The form lists typical tasks and skills required for the Certificate III in Sterilisation Services. These include communication, workplace safety and using business technology. If you’ve worked in a hospital or health service, it’s very likely you already perform many of these tasks independently or under supervision. The RPL process is not about doing extra work, it’s about recognising what you already know and do. Any gaps identified can be addressed through targeted training.
