Welcome to the 29th Annual Triple A Angus Bull Sale, hosted at Johnstone Auction Mart in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
For nearly three decades, the Triple A group has been committed to supplying the beef industry with dependable, high-quality Angus genetics. This longstanding bull sale is built on a foundation of sound cattle, practical selection, and a clear understanding of what commercial cattlemen need — bulls that work in real-world conditions and add value to their operations.
The offering assembled for this year’s sale once again reflects that commitment. The 2026 lineup is deep and diverse in its genetic makeup, providing buyers with a wide range of options to suit their breeding goals. Whether you are searching for calving ease bulls suited for use on heifers or power bulls designed to add performance and payweight to your calf crop, you will find bulls here that meet those demands. Equally important, the cattle presented in this sale are bred with strong maternal values in mind. The Triple A breeders place great emphasis on cow families that are productive, functional, and built to last. As a result, these bulls are backed by generations of reliable Angus females known for fertility, udder quality, longevity, and the ability to raise a good calf year after year The consistency and quality found throughout this offering are a testament to the dedication of the Triple A breeders and the program they have developed over the past 29 years. Their focus remains firmly on providing cattle that will improve commercial herds and contribute to the profitability of their customers. We encourage you to study the catalogue, visit with the consignors, and evaluate the bulls prior to sale day. The Triple A group takes great pride in the cattle they produce and stands behind the product they sell.
We look forward to seeing you in Moose Jaw and appreciate your interest in the 29th Annual Triple A Angus Bull Sale. As always, if you are unable to attend and require any assistance prior to or on sale day, feel free to reach out to anyone on the T Bar team at your convenience.

Welcome to our 29th Triple A sale and thank you for the interest you have in our program. Never has there been a better time to own cattle. Years ago, when I was younger and much wiser, so I thought, my Dad would often say “when times are tough you can grab a cow by the tail and she will pull you through a tough patch”. I doubt he would have believed or thought to tell me to use both hands and hang on tight because that cow is on the run. We have 17 bulls on offer from three sire groups. Diverse enough if you need a different bloodline or I believe the quality is adequate within each group if you prefer to buy a couple half brothers. Give me a call and we can discuss your bull requirements. I will do my best to guide you to a bull that best suits your program. Thanks Dan 306-581-7606
This is our 4th year offering Deer Valley Growth Fund sons. I appreciate the consistency of the Growth Fund progeny. Shorter gestations keep birthweights manageable regardless of the size of the cow or heifer. Weaning weights are 700+ lbs despite drier conditions in our area. The Growth Fund progeny consistently posts average daily gains above average. We had 9 Growth Fund bull calves born in 2025. 8 of the 9 are in our Triple A offering. The 9th missed the October trip to Hagerty’s for the winter feeding. He was one of the first bulls to sell off the farm. The Growth Fund daughters are making awesome momma cows as well.

• Sired by Deer Valley Growth Fund who has led our ai program for the last 5 years. With the shorter gestation of Growth Fund, you need to be prepared for calves arriving 7 to 10 days ahead of the breed average 282-day gestation.
• 17N had a 3.3 lb adg on his dam and a 3.45 lb adg post weaning.
• Dam is a moderate framed 5 yr old. Her bull, 17N weaning index was 118 ranked 1/29.

CMT Gunslinger 244K is the sire of our second group of bulls Lots 9 -14. 244K was led off bull for CMT Angus in 2023. I admired his herd bull look. He is a deep bodied bull with a good foot and 40 cm scrotal circumference as a yearling His grandsire, Hoover No Doubt, may be best known for his superior foot and is in the breeds top 3% and 4% for yearling weight, docility, scrotal circumference and carcass weight. All traits that interest me in both our seedstock and freezer beef animals.

Many of our calving ease bulls have a higher actual birthweight than many customers are looking for. If you have a good look at our bulls and analyze their head, neck, shoulder and the bull’s overall length I hope you will be convinced that they are built for calving ease despite not having a birthweight of less than 75 lbs.

Our final sire group of bulls are sired by our home raised Playbook walking bulls. Hi Low Playbook, 46H is a stout, moderate framed bull with a super chill disposition. I decided to keep him and now I am pleased with the outcome.

Recommended for heifers. Another low birth weight calving-ease specialist with double-digit calving ease. Cottonwood Best Answer 501 is a moderateframed, smooth-made bull that is built right from the ground up and should have the longevity to breed heifers for many years.

We have just added this bull to the herd, and after you’ve had the opportunity to study him, we’re confident you’ll appreciate him for the kind of individual he is. He’s stout made, well balanced, and backed by an outstanding set of practical, balanced EPDs. He stems from highly productive Rosebud cow family a line that hold in very high regard for its consistency and real-world performance.

Many of the Triple AAA consignors past and present used Leroy Steinhubl extensively in our AI programs. From AIing our females, to purchasing semen and storing our tanks at his place. The number of bulls, or dams, grand dams of bulls that would have gone through this very sale is overwhelmingly in the hundreds. Thank you Leroy, for your precise work and friendship over the many years! We all wish you the very best on your retirement.

These are the ninth set of bulls sired by JCC JD. He had had an outstanding pedigree great EPDs and outstanding feet and claws his calves continue to exhibit the same tremendous length of body, depth, easy fleshing moderate birth weights. JD is siring calves that are getting the job done.

Once again, we are offering an SAV Sterling 1766 son. We used him on heifers for calving ease. He is ranked in the top 1% for foot and claw structure. Once they hit the ground they really gain well.

Northern View Super Duty is now our senior herd sire. He is a very nice structured, moderate sized bull with a great foot and leg. He’s proving to be a great choice for calving ease. Calves are born easy with great vigor.

We truly appreciate all of you who have shown an interest in our program. It is our pleasure to work with the Triple AAA group for the last 17 years! Having Kodie home, we have given him the reigns as herdsmen of the purebred herd. With that we have been doing more flushing, embryo implanting and AIing. We continue to progressively breed for soundness, fertility, maternal traits, and disposition. With Kodie’s keen eye he is ruthless on selection of bulls and females to join or retain in our herd. Stop in anytime to view our herd and have a visit

• From a young age 515N has been on the radar. He is the last natural calf off Erica and she may have saved the best for last.
• He’s backed by a ton of maternal greatness with four proven donors showing up closely in his pedigree. The combination of Erica 1379, Duchess 173B, Flora 6078D, and Erelite 109Z should mean to keep every daughter.
• You are quick to find this Legacy son in the pen. He’s a good headed, smooth shouldered bull that is well balanced, and has a large scrotal.
• Maternal brothers have sold to Triple L Angus, Mark Petras, and J & L Mackie
