It is with great pride that I welcome you to the 2025 edition of The Superstar. I feel that this is our strongest lineup ever and that’s a big statement given this sale’s track record! Born during Covid, we started this sale when the Charolais breed had no national stage to showcase the best that the breed has to offer. From the beginning this sale has brought breeders together from across Noth America to consign the best of their individual programs and we have set records every year. I also take great pride in the fact that the purchases made have gone on to not only influence the program buying them but the breed as a whole.

Superstar is not only the source for elite Charolais genetics but its also turned into the breeds Christmas party, with great fellowship and a festive atmosphere and fun had by everyone who attends. I would like to once again thank our partners at MNP for sponsoring the prime rib again this year and hope you all can come and enjoy it with us. Superstar has always been a focus of ours and not just a tag along event, our entire team is on the lookout for future stars all year round and we can’t wait to hear what you think of what we have assembled for you this year.

Leading off is the prestigious Players Club Champion, crowned at the world series of Canadian cattle shows, Canadian Western Agribition. We have two other elite sires featured this year including one of the first opportunities to purchase an Atlas son and the chance to own a proven top and bottom pedigree son of the breeding giant Redemption. Only at Superstar will you also get the chance to buy a daughter of a Supreme Champion who is also the full sib of another Supreme Champion. Plus direct daughters of other Agribition and National show Champions.

Herd sires, proven cows, elite bred heifers, ultra competitive show heifers, futuristic pregnancies and embryos, as well as exclusive semen is what the breed has come to expect from the Superstar sale and the leaders in the breed have allowed us to select the best of the best in 2025!

$50,000 BULL CALF

The SCA is pleased to offer the Player’s Club $50,000 Bull Calf Futurity as the lead off lot for Superstar 2025! Top breeders will gather at Canadian Western Agribition in Regina, SK on Thursday, November 27, 2025 to select the 2025 $50,000 Player’s Club Champion! SELLING ¾ INTEREST AND FULL POSSESSION.

No semen can be sold or gifted in Canada until 2027 as the bull will remain exclusive to the Player’s Club membership until that time. International semen sales (including every other country other than Canada) are not restricted in any way or form. Semen may be collected for use by the 1/4 interest owner and the ‘purchaser’ of this lot at their expense. The Player’s Club Champion will be sent to stud as soon as he is deemed to be ready and must freeze the required amount of semen for all Player’s Club members prior to being able to be released to the new owner. The SCA will cover the costs of collecting semen for the Player’s Club membership. Every effort will be made to collect semen in a timely manner but all bulls respond to collection differently and therefore the SCA cannot guarantee when the bull will be available for natural breeding. When Chris stopped in for his annual pasture tour, he mentioned he was looking for a strong cow/calf pair to be a part of the Superstar Sale. He selected SKW Shasta 10J out of our group of young cows. Shasta is a Winn Mans 780A daughter that we showed as a bred heifer at Agribition in 2022. She has had 3 calves for us and she has done a wonderful job. Shasta is a long, deep bodied cow. She has a great udder and is the type of cow we strive for. We really appreciate the power this cow has and we can’t wait for her next calf to hit the ground. Shasta is bred to one of our new herdsires LAE Megavolt 468M. He is a JWX King Kong son. Megavolt has strong foot structure, hair and stoutness. This is an exciting mating for sure. We are very excited to be offering her daughter in the sale this year as well. We don’t have a big red factor program but we do like to play in it a bit as the tan and red bulls are always desired. 6N is dark red, awesome structured with lots of stretch. She is big boned and has brood cow label on her but still puts it together in a tidy package. A perfect recipe to raising the coloured bulls. Breed her white or red and you will get some desired colour. Captain Morgan has been awesome at making females and on the bottom side you tap into some really cool bulls that have done great things for the Charolais breed. We feel 6N has the potential to raise the big time calves, all the potential in the world here.

ARE THE REAL STARS OF THE INDUSTRY

The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION:

Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association, unless otherwise stated. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

PEDIGREE ESTIMATES:

Pedigree Estimates (PE) are created on the projected mating of the animal’s sire and dam based on averages of the two, creating estimated values that do not hold the same accuracy of actual EPDs issued from the association and should be used as such.

HEALTH:

All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.

GUARANTEE:

Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. All animals in this sale will be sold under the terms and guarantees set forth by the appropriate breed association with regard to health, freedom from defects and from both reproductive and specific genetic unsoundness.

PREGNANCY INFORMATION:

All serviceable age females have been pregnancy examined by an accredited veterinarian, giving an estimated length of gestation. This estimated gestation period shall be used only as a guideline to calving and is not a guarantee of actual service.

LIABILITIES:

All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller, facility owner and sale manager assume no liability legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither does T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may in exceptional cases be taken must be between the buyer and the seller.
