From Neudorf: 4 Miles west on HWY 22. North 1 mile at mile marker 12. From HWY 10: On the West side of Duff turn and head South 10 Miles. Watch for signs.

I’m truly excited to welcome you to the 7th Annual Hollinger Land and Cattle Female Sale. Chad and Breanne along with Trevor and Mel and their partner Roger bring you an outstanding line up this year. This program and this set of cattle were the talk of the 2025 Saskatchewan Angus summer tour. Congratulations to all the hosts on making it a memorable tour. As I sit here and reflect on 7 years of sales there are several features that come to mind, that have gone on and made an impact on the programs they entered. However, there is one female that came through this ring that has not only impacted a single program but the breed as a whole. Half interest in HLC Erica 561G, a daughter of the famed 74A, sold to Kourtney Schaff and she successfully campaigned her as a junior heifer and since 561G has became an influential donor for both S A V and HLC. Her first son at HLC was sired by America and was named HLC CSI Private Stock. He was crowned Senior Bull Calf Champion at Agribition, lead off the bull sale and followed up that fall by being declared Senior Yearling Champion Bull Champion. 2024 saw another son of Erica 561G, HLC CSI Elevation 100K make his way to the ultimate backdrop being crowned Agribition Angus Grand Champion Bull. Elevation went on to be a featured high selling bull in Denver last January. You can find significant Erica influence throughout this year’s catalogue again, don’t miss the opportunity to get your own piece of this legacy.

Chad has proven his cattle are competitive at the highest levels but if you were to ask him what he is most proud of, it is that the cattle have gone on and worked for the people who have bought them. Both the bulls and females that leave this place each year sell to a high percentage of repeat customers and to me that speaks volumes on the quality of cattle and the integrity of the people. Whether you are hunting for the next heifer to show or the next donor or the next female to consistently put a sale bull in your pen, the options are vast throughout the pages to come.

Come and enjoy great cattle and great hospitality from salt of the earth people. As always if any of us on the T Bar Team can be of any assistance to you, we would be more than happy to take your call at anytime.

Welcome

FROM HOLLINGER LAND & CATTLE

Welcome to the 7th edition of the Female Focus production sale . There has never been a better time to be a part of livestock industry they we live and breathe each day. With prices at record levels it sure makes it fun to get up each day to do what we love. We are very excited about the set of Females we have assembled, they represent our cow herd and are the type of cattle we like to raise. Sound, functional, easy keeping, attractive cattle that come from proven, predictable cow families. The 5 select heifer calves on offer are right from the top of our replacement pen. They represent some of the newest most current genetics in our program and the industry. Lots 1 and 2 are sired by Ignite, a bull that created quite a stir at CWA 2 years ago, where he and his maternal brother Alpine highlighted the All Star Angus Sale. If you have the opportunity be sure to come check Ignite out once again at CWA as he will be on display alongside his calves. This year a large portion of the bred heifers are carrying service to very exciting $40,000 HF Marksman 299m who was the lead off bull from the outstanding Hamilton Farms bull sale. Marksman bred very well looks exceptional. We anxiously await his calves coming in early January. We look forward to hosting you Dec.11 here at the ranch. We invite you to come early for lunch and some refreshments. With the uncertainty in our mail system, we will not be mailing books again this year, but will have hard copies at Agribition as well as on hand leading up to sale day. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call, we’d be happy to discuss the cattle to help find the right one to suit your needs.

BARBARA

A February born show stopper sired by one of our newest herd sire acquisitions, Haroldson’s AH Ignite 60L. His first calf crop is nothing short of outstanding. The females he has sired are very attractive in their design and have an excellent maternal look. 590N has been on our radar from day 1. She is long bodied, deep ribbed, beautiful through her front 1/3 and ultra hairy! She combines 2 of the most productive cow families to walk the pastures here at HLC, the Barbara’s, and the Erica’s. Grab ahold of this one, she’s bred for success!

ERICA

Erica 608N is outstanding in terms of body dimension muscle shape and thickness. Take a look at her pedigree and you’ll find the $525 000 Bar E L Erica 74A, the Angus breed’s most prolific female, not once but twice. Not to mention, her dam is also a full sister to the $63 000, HLC CSI Private Stock 879J. Not often do you come across a female with a pedigree stacked like 608N’s. I believe this one is going to be super competitive in her division as well she will become a very valuable out cross breeding piece.

Mate her to a pretty one to make your next show heifer or to a bit more rugged one to crank out your next herd bull, she’s got the potential to do it all!!

Full sisters out of what can only be described as a truly outstanding flush. 3 full brothers recently highlighted our spring bull sale averaging just over $16 000, and a full sister sold for $9500 in last Decembers Female Focus. We highly anticipate calving the full sisters who are mated the very same way. To none other than the $40 000 lead off bull from the Hamilton Farms bull sale, HF Marksman 299M. I had the opportunity to see the dam of Marksman, she’s an exceptional female who is super attractive with an ideal udder and outstanding feet. Make no mistake here, if you choose to own the calf or the bred heifer you’ll be investing in a female that offers endless potential with an outcross pedigree from the most popular name in the Angus breed “Erica”!!

Super feminine, big ribbed, striking on the profile, 395M is a personal favourite of mine. Her dam 136A was a female we absolutely loved for her fleshing ability, superb udder quality and overall eye appeal. We had the misfortune of losing her last fall so this will be the last opportunity to own a direct 136A daughter. I highly anticipate the baby this one is carrying, it will be sired by our past bull sale feature, the $23 000 Resilient 444M, a bull we chose to incorporate back in our program. He was purchased by very astute cattlemen Bryan Elaschuk. we can’t wait to see what he does in Bryan’s exceptional herd.

A few years back we very successfully showed a bull named HLC Grit 705H with our good friends at Madsen Angus. This female would be a maternal sister to the dam of Grit 705H. His sons were very popular with the commercial cattleman. They were hairy, stout, big testicled rascals that topped Madsen’s bull sale a couple years in a row. When you talk about cow families that you want to build from here is one that quickly comes to mind.

For those of you who have followed our program the past couple years and have seen a bull named Cracker Jack, your gonna want to get in on this while you can. His sons were arguably the most popular calving ease bulls we had on offer. They were born light out of first calf heifers and had an exceptional growth curve, weighing right in there with the big boys come weaning time. Be sure to watch for them again this spring, there is quite possibly an even deeper set of Cracker Jack sons that await your appraisal. As for the ladies, we anxiously await calving his first set of daughters. They are the right kind, easy fleshing, stout and very attractive made. Don’t miss out!

Here is your opportunity to grab a hold of some of the top genetics in the angus breed. Erica 561g has proven to be a top producing direct daughter of Bar-E-L Erica 74A, one of North America’s most influencial females. Eliingson Prolific was the top seller from the 2022 Ellingson Sale. He brings an outcross pedigree with strong maternal values. He has developed a reputation for early growth and ideal foot and udder quality. We are offering 3 IVF embryos produced at Trans Ova in Onida and stored at Bow Valley Genetics.

One could go on and on about what this cow can do. But in short form, it’s just something special to have a daughter and or son. A prime example is the direct daughter here at Hollinger s and what she’s done for their outfit. To keep current, in the fall of 2025, 74A has sold three daughters recently for a $37,500 avg with one of her best efforts ever standing at the Woodbine Racetrack selling at Fallsview at the end of the year. Course we’ve mated her to the best sires with Prosper coming highly recommended. Huge maternal values in this mating with an upside larger then ever in the Angus world today.
