elcome to the inaugural Queens of the Heartland Female Production Sale. We are very pleased and excited to host this event with our fellow Simmental breeders. Since we built our new sale facility in 2017, it has been a hope that we could one day put on a female sale in the fall. This year it has become a reality. We are very proud of the females that we will have on offer December 3rd. We have plucked a few heifers right off the top of our embryo program for your appraisal, that we would normally never part with, but only for the fact that we have several flush mate sisters still at home we have offered you the opportunity at these elite bred heifers. We have on offer progeny off of some very exclusive and high profile Simmental bulls and top quality donors cows, that we are fortunate enough to have in production at JP Cattle.

We breed 95% of our first calf heifers to Angus bulls for their first gestation, hence the reason for most them being AI’d and exposed to Angus bulls. We have had very good success in our bull sale selling ½ and ¾ blood bulls to our commercial customers, thus we are not concerned at all breeding our top heifers to Angus bulls. With much deliberation and discussion, we have decided to sell a large number of our commercial heifers that we would normally sell in March as well. These heifers are all one owner, one iron, one ranch raised Simmental/Angus cross bred heifers, that calve early April. These heifers are no nonsense, calve on their own cattle that have been selected right off the top of our commercial replacement pen. Please join us December 3rd at the farm, come have a look at the cattle on offer and join us for some lunch and fellowship, during these trying times. Be assured, we will follow recommended health protocol as directed by the province. We realize that people may prefer touring the cattle before and we would be happy to do so any time ahead of sale day.

elcome to the Premiere of the Queens of the Heartland Production Sale, December 3, 2020 at JP Cattle Company’s heated facility, McAuley, Manitoba. The folks at JP offer an outstanding group of bred heifers sired by prominent sires in the industry. Polled, red and black, these value-added packages were plucked from the front of the replacement pastures and put their best foot forward in this new fall event. To add to the sale, they have invited the folks at Scissors Creek Cattle Co., Sun Rise Simmentals, the Johns and Workman’s along with McIntosh Ranch making this an interprovincial event. The quality of the offering is exceptional… young, deep, broody front pasture prospects with early services which will add value to all breeding programs. We must remember that many of these females are carrying a coupon which will be redeemed in a month or so… in some cases the female will be paid for through the calf she carries… and do not forget that we are nearing tax season, so budget accordingly. Over the past couple of months, we have watched Simmental sired stockers top markets throughout the country which bodes well for spring bull sales. There is no substitute for quality in the production of breeding stock and great programs start with great mothers!

We selected these two heifers right off the top of our bred heifer pen. It took a lot of arm twisting to convince us to part with heifers of this caliber. Spring Creek Goldy is arguably our premier donor cow at the present time. She has produced top quality heifers that we have retained in our herd. An outstanding full sibling yearling bull, that we owned jointly with the good folks at Wheatland Cattle, sold in their 2020 sale for $37,000 to Kearns Cattle of Nebraska. These two heifers are very similar to their mother, in the fact that they are dropping down a perfect udder, have a large spring of rib and are extremely good footed, sound moving heifers. Scissors Bella is a super tanky, deep sided, free moving and extremely attractive female that we have always really liked, which made the decision to sell her very tough. She has that momma cow look to her already and is sure to raise some great calves. Her dam is an easy keeping cow with a great udder. She also has one of the top calves in the bull pen this year. Bacardi was purchased jointly with Drifting M Farms from Sun Rise Simmentals out of the Proudly Western Bull Sale in 2015. He is the full brother to the $90,000 high selling bull from the same sale. We have lots of females working in the herd out of Bacardi and they all do a great job. When you take all of her great attributes and add the blaze face that everyone wants, you get an opportunity to buy something special. AI bred to WHL Gold Key 1619D on April 6, 2020. Pasture exposed to Bar-H Cash 11D from April 14 to July 31, 2020.

Commercial Bred Heifers Selling in Groups of Five
The commercial heifers will be sorted into pens with 20-30 head. Then they will be gate run in groups of five and sell through the ring as that group of five. These heifers are a very consistent group, rest assured being gate run they will be a uniform package. These heifers are all sired by JP raised Angus/Simmental bulls and bred to tried and tested Angus heifer bulls. We will be selling approximately 160 head, so if anyone is looking for a semi load this is your chance! Pasture exposed to Angus bulls from June 24 to September 30, 2020.

Pasture exposed to Triple H Intuition from April 14 to April 27 and then exposed to Bar-H Cash 11D from April 28 to July 31, 2020.

TERMS & CONDITIONS TERMS...
The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance, unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.
BIDDING...
Each animal will sell to the highest bidder...no bybidding will be permitted. Disputes - Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in dispute. If no further bidding is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision on all disputes will be final.
ANNOUNCEMENTS...
All announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay close attention to such disclosures.
CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION...
Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Simmental Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.
PEDIGREE ESTIMATES
Pedigree Estimates (PE) are created on the projected mating of the animal’s sire and dam based on averages of the two, creating estimated values that do not hold the same accuracy of actual EPDs issued from the association and should be used as such.

All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller, facility owner and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither does T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may in exceptional cases be taken must be between the buyer and the seller. T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. assumes no responsibility for any credit extended by the seller to the buyer. The buyer must look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees and representations made hereunder.
RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS...
The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.

Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, mail or wire their bids and instructions to the sale managers, auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.
DELIVERY...
We will assist in arranging transportation wherever possible. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
INSURANCE...
Will be available sale day. We strongly recommend that insurance is purchased for full value.
