HEARTLAND LIVESTOCK • YORKTON, SK
Congratulations to the Blue Collar crew on their 20th Sale, a feat not taken lightly. What is most important is the support that you have shown as bidders and buyers over the years in sourcing genetics from these herds to carry your herds genetics forward, no greater compliment can be given for that!
The offering is what you'd expect, a balance of performance, hair, style, soundness and great dispositions! Whether you're looking for a bull to turn out with your heifers or a bull for your cow herd there are plenty of options available for you. Great families that pour their heart and soul into agriculture, because that is just what we do right as it is in our bones. The market is strong, snow is abundant in the northeast part of the province and the days are getting longer, plenty of reason to be thankful that we live where we live.
Be sure to stop out at the respective farms for a presale look or the tailgate viewing social on Friday afternoon at Heartland. A great opportunity to visit and discuss what options suit you best going forward. If you need a hand on selections feel free to contact any of us as we would be glad to answer your questions.
See you sale day!

Welcome to the Blue Collar Bull Sale
Welcome to the 20th Annual Blue Collar Bull Sale. It seems just like yesterday when we started discussions on starting a bull sale. One doesn’t think much has changed until you start looking at family pictures and cattle pictures from the first sale. Then you start thinking “jeepers 20 years is a long time”, unless you have the wives like Scott and I do. Time just flies by when things are good. For Mandy and Amy, it may seem like an eternity, but I doubt it, not with princes like Scott and I. We all know that relationships are tested when families work cattle together. Sorting, processing, AI ing, Picture pen shenanigans, calving season…can all create tension, bad words and time apart being required. But in the end, you make up and sit having a refreshment at the kitchen table visit.
As the youngins' say "It's been a minute" and after 20 years of bull sales, we have built many wonderful friendships, partnerships and relationships because of livestock. We are forever grateful to have met some many wonderful people over the years. The support and confidence in our programs and the Blue Collar we have received has been overwhelmingly and appreciated beyond words. THANK YOU!!!
We both strive to constantly improve our herds to hopefully do the same for you with our genetics. This is an endless cycle of planning, breeding, monitoring, weaning, calving…. We work to know better to do better in order to create cattle that will fetch top dollar a the market. Speaking of the market, WOW! WOW! WOW! No need to tell you about prices unless you have not been selling or watching any reports. What a great time to be in cattle.
Now while you chase those record prices you know full well that compromising quality will not secure them. To do that you still need to produce the best steers, heifers… This is where we at the Blue Collar Group can help. We believe that we are offering some of the best bulls and heifers in the industry for you to advance your program with great replacement females and market topping feeder calves.
Throughout the catalogue you will find an entire host of information to aid you in your bull or heifer selection. There are footnotes, pictures, pedigrees, weights, sire and dam information… Videos are online but please feel free to contact any one of us for more information or better yet stop by our farms to view the bulls prior to the sale. The Blue Collar Bull Sale Group would like to thank the following for their contribution to the success of our sale:
» Everyone who attended last year’s sale, our bidders and buyers.
» All our friends and family who helped us before, during and after the sale.
» All our advertisers-We do business with all of them and recommend you give them a try, too.
» To Castlerock Marketing, Colton McIntosh, Levi Hull, Jonathon Karsin and the Heartland Staff’s and all our friends for their work on our sale.
We believe that we have a solid and supportive team who can work to make sure that you are well taken care of and your livestock needs are met. Please contact any member of the Blue Collar Group or the sales staff with any questions to help you select the animals to meet your needs.
We are going to start our sale with pens of commercial heifers. The Minhinnick’s, Vollman’s, Wunder’s, Nernberg’s, Davies and Diamond D Livestock bring you quality females. Many of these heifers come from bulls that have been purchased from the Bull Collar consignors. Look to increase the productivity of your cow herd with these quality genetics.
We would like to again welcome, Irving Angus-John and Keri Irving and Family, as guest consignors of 4 wonderful yearling Angus heifers. The Irving’s present to you, sound, deep bodied and eye appealing females.
Welcome to new guest consignors, Shiels Angus. Brandon and Morgan have put their best foot forward presenting you with two top cut replacement heifers. These heifers are located at Northern View Angus for presale viewing.
We would also like to make you aware that Trustmark Agencies from Melville, will be on hand sale day to assist you with the insurance of your purchases. As breeders we will support you, the buyer, in every way we can to ensure our cattle work. However, there are unforeseen events which occur, like illness, injury, or death, which the buyer and seller cannot control or guarantee. For situations like this there is insurance. We strongly recommend you insure all your livestock purchases but want you to ensure any cattle which will be going home to our respective farms for a while. Please refer to back of catalogue for all sale conditions.
We take pride in the fact that we have an increased number of repeat customers. Please refer to the list of last years Blue Collar purchasers at the back of the catalogue. We truly enjoy the connections and socialization which is involved with our customers and the cattle business. We would like to invite you to give us a call or drop by our farms for a visit any time.
Consider this your invitation to come to Heartland in Yorkton on Thursday, April 9th from 3PM-7PM and Friday, April 10th from 9AM to 7PM for a viewing of the cattle and fellowship. On Sale Day, Saturday, April 11th cattle can be viewed beginning at 10 am. We will be having a lunch on sale day from 11 am to sale time.
See you at the Sale!

Northern View Angus
Welcome to our 20th Annual Blue Collar Bull Sale. When one reflects back the beginning of the Blue Collar we can’t believe how young we looked, how little our children were and how grateful we are for all of the support we have gotten from our families, friends and customers-who by the way we also consider friends. We have developed tremendous relationships as a result of this business and passion over the past 20 years. So what has changed in 20 years?
1. The quality and depth of our herd has improved dramatically. We strive to improve everyday. We believe this is our deepest and most consistent pen of bulls.
2. We have developed a tremendous number of relationships as a result of being in this industry.
We are retaining a 1/3 semen interest in all our bulls unless otherwise stated. This does not impact you owning the bull, the rights to walk the bull or the salvage value on the bull. All it means that if at some point we would like to draw semen for in herd use we would arrange at your convenience and our expense to do so.
3. Our families have grown and matured. And until I look in the mirror and see my reflection I think, “I have not aged a bit.” There are a lot more rings on this tree then I was hoping for. LOL!!!
I find it amusing how each year I say the same things. “I know we need the snow but its is a lot more work right now.” “I hope the weather warms up.” When is the last time we saw the sun?” “Did I shower today? Not sure what day is it?”….This is all reinfored by the social media memory reminders I get. Most days we feel busier than a one-legged man in an a$$ kicking contest. This daily grind is one we do for the love of what we do and our animals. We all treat them with respect, trust and value each one. Folks will say they are dumb animals. Well, they will do dumb things but are really quite smart in what they do. You just have to listen to them and watch them to understand.
Carefully selecting genetics, nutrition and mineral, following vaccine protocols, marketing…. Are all things we do to build our ever improving and evolving cow herd. It takes a lifetime, generations and decades to build a cow herd. We work hard to retain the best genetics and females we can raise. Keeping those daughters you know will work because of the genetic consistency the cow family has demonstrated over the years is invaluable. You will notice many of our pedigrees go back to deep rooted Northern View prefix. We do step out and buy select females that we believe will improve our herd.
This past summer we cohosted the Sk Angus Tour. The attendance, the weather and the fellowship was simply outstanding. We show cased the majority of our pairs and all our bred heifers. This is very nerve wracking because you hope folks will like your herd but what if they don’t. I make it a policy to never say, “So what do you think of the herd?” Cause what if the answer isn’t the one I hope to hear. I must say that the unsolicited feedback we received was truly overwhelming and gratifying. Rest assured this feedback did not swell our heads but simply motivated us to work harder to continue to improve.
Temperament is top of mind here. Attractive, functional, structurally sound performance cattle are what we strive for. I know that failing to plan is planning to fail so I look to carefully plan our breeding program when it comes to our AI sires and walking bulls. This year you will see some of the same sires plus some new ones. Our walking bulls kinda lead the parade again. Folks have said, “Why do you AI when you have a walking bull like that?” However, even a blind squirrel finds a nut occasionally. We do get lucky for sure. My answer, “Well we got this bull through AI!”. The Cha Chings, Super Dutys, Rumbles and Alpha Man all walked our pastures. AI sire wise we used proven, consistent sires with calving ease, performance, maternal, structure and scrotal size top of mind. We want bulls and cows that can raise both males and females that work. We have really worked on not pushing our bulls. Feeding them a ration of 1% of their body weight in their feed ration and the balance of their ration with brome, timothy, orchard grass and intermediate wheat grass hay. The hay is of excellent quality this year. We monitor the feed intake of our bulls with regular manure checks to ensure no overfeeding and to promote a sound growing bull that will work for you for the long term. We target a growth rate of 3.5lbs average daily gain. They have free choice #18 Boss lick tubs to promote scrotal development, semen quality and structural soundness. The bulls are raised in large pens and/or pasture areas to allow for ample room to wander, rumble and explore.
I have catalogued our bulls in sire groups and in numerical order of when they were born within that group. I have put the oldest bull is first, and the youngest bull is last of that sire group. Quality is strong from lots 2-35.

MINERAL PACKAGE
Valued at $1000
Rider Game Day Package
Welcome to the 3rd edition of our lot 1 Fundraiser. This initiative is one we are proud to provide as an opportunity for us all to have a little fun, raise funds for our youth and maybe win a prize. Last year’s Lot 1 raised $9000 to split equally between the Yorkton Regional 4H and Agriculture In The Classroom (AITC) WOW!!! Thank you to all who purchase tickets in the Dutch Auction last year.
As a retired principal/teacher, I have a real passion for education and our youth. As part of the funds donated to the Yorkton Regional 4H a $1000 scholarship has been created to got to a worthy graduating 4H member who attends the Regional 4H. The Regional board and ourselves established criteria for this scholarship with preference being given to the member going into a field of agriculture. Last year’s scholarship recipient was Ava Loveridge. She is attending the University of Saskatchewan in the faculty of education. Congratulations Ava.
This year funds raised will be split in ½ with the Yorkton Regional 4H and Agriculture In the Classroom (AITC) organization. AITC has trained educators go to into schools throughout Saskatchewan to educate students K to 12 about Agriculture and where their food comes from as well as coordinates farm tours for classes. Last year we hosted a grade 5/6 class from North Valley Elementary. We will look at all aspects of a cow calf operation-nutrition, herd health and management, breeding/AI a cow, vaccination of animals….Tour Pearl Creek Meats to learn a bit about processing meat and how our beef gets to our table and we will tour Wilna Vanderbeeks farm with goats, sheep and chickens. We are awaiting a school assignment for this year too. Other farms and schools throughout Sask will be holding tours with the support of AITC.
A Rider Game Day Package and the mineral package will be auctioned in Dutch Auction style to start the sale. Tickets would be auctioned at a value of $10 per ticket. If you bid $200 you would receive 20 tickets that would be entered into the draw. If you bid $150 you would receive 15 tickets that would be entered in the draw. The winner of the draw will have choice of these options. The draw will occur before the purebred heifers sell. Winner selection will be randomly generated by a computer program developed by DLMS. Once that selection is made a second draw will be made for which ever package was not selected.
The mineral package has a retail value of $1000. The mineral tubs have been donated by our friends Dan & Jackie Sawley-New Rosedale Mineral Dealers 1 tub, Clayton Hawreluik-SweetPro Mineral Dealers 1 tub, Hackman Feeds-Masterfeeds Mineral dealer 1 tub and Northern View Angus-Boss Mineral Dealers 2 tubs. Thank you all for your generosity.
The Rider Game Day experience will include 4 game tickets for the game of your choosing, Labour Day Classic and playoff tickets will not be included in choice options. We will provide one night’s hotel accommodations for you to. Melville Veterinary Clinic will provide $600 toward a meal at the restaurant of your choosing. If it would work out, we would like to attend the game with the winner of this option.
The Smith’s and the Wunder’s enjoyed the Rider Game Day Experience of lot 1 from 2025. We were able to join the Smith’s at the game. We truly enjoyed the game and the evening. Kathy Pearson was the winner of the mineral package.
Thank you in advance for supporting the youth of the Yorkton Regional 4H and Agriculture in the Classroom as outlined in the Ad.

Coleman Bravo is a bull we decided to use as a proven calving ease bull. He is a 10-year-old bull that has a high degree of predictability in what he can do. Sometimes we try to jump in at the ground level with a new AI sire. That can go over like a fart in church for sure. That is why we went for dependability of Bravo. While the three sons we have in the sale are terrific the daughters are fantastic as well. There are no, I mean absolutely, no throw aways. The Bravo calves have tons of vigor and go to them. We had used all our Bravo semen in 2024. Due to availability, we did not have any for the 2025 breeding season. But guess what?? We secured more for the 2026 breeding season and could not be more excited. We will use him on heifers and cows. He’s the right kinda bull.
Lot 2
This guy should get you out of your seat. He is the big man in black for sure. He is the first of 3 Bravo ¾ brothers. Walk the Line 3N is a big barrelled, big nutted yearling bull. This bull is backed by a very good Super Duty daughter. She is the maternal sibling to lot 35. These super duty genetics will appear many times throughout the catalogue on the dam and sire side of things. These females are ones we have been retaining and building around for sure. Udder and foot quality, overall eye appeal and temperament are things we really appreciate on these females. 3N is bull that has lots of timber under him, sound feet and super hairy. You will love his temperament. He is tie broke. This guy gained 3.78lbs/day to weaning, is in the top 25% of the breed for calving ease and top 35% of the breed for weaning & yearling weight. So, if you are looking for a heifer bull (but would not compromise anything being used on cows too) to retain daughters from and put some performance in your herd this guy may be a bull to look at. Recommended for heifers.
Coleman Bravo 6313D
If you have ever sat in the from row of a movie theatre and watched an action movie your head moves side to side of the screen to try to watch everything. Well, getting too close to this guy is kinda the same. Head to tail he is a mile long. You will need to step back to appreciate his length. Truly a complete bull. The strength in his top line and loin are admirable. This guy may just bring down the house in terms of his appeal for calving, growth, performance and ultimately maternal qualities. His dam is named RJ. She is an excellent footed, typical Super Duty daughter. At the Sk Angus tour this summer, this pair received many accolades. As one person said, “This bull is out of a heifer? UNREAL!” 15N’s granddam, Missie 89C, has two daughters working in our herd and one doing extremely well at Bryan Elashcuk’s at Wroxton, Sk. The holy grail of bulls here as a curve bender bull. This guy is super quiet, masculine and halter broke. Recommended for heifers
COLEMAN CHARLO 0256
Cue Amy. “Don’t write so many footnotes this year.” Me, “OK!” But I guess according to Socrates a fool speaks because he has to say something. Me thinkst I may be a fool??? Oh Well. Here is a heifer bull that is nicely headed, smooth shouldered and the right size but still has enough punch to him to give you “that calf” in the fall. Not just a bunch of “dinks” as a good friend says. This bull is out of a vg young Belle/Super Duty cow. Recommended for heifers.

We selected Rainmaker as an outcross powerhouse pedigree on a bull with incredible power and design. He boasts the top 1% of the breed for weaning weight, yearling weight, and scrotal size. There are only 154 progenies in Canada. So, accessing these genetics are rare. We have used Rainmaker for four years now. The daughters are fantastic with beautiful udders. They have tremendous power and volume yet are feminine. We plan on using Rainmaker again this breeding season. Alpha Man 63M is a paternal brother sold to Josh Herauf-Davin, Sk. at the 2025 Blue Collar.

“Oooh! Oooh! Oooh!-More Power”-As Tim the Tool Man Taylor would say. This guy is jacked. Alpha Man 31N is built well from the ground up. Very good hanging down parts. My attention is always drawn to his tremendous volume, outstanding loin, hip and quarter. If you are seeking a bull that should add some performance and size to your herd, take a serious look at him. As the old lady in the 80’s Wendy’s commercial asked, “Where’s the beef?” Alpha Man 31N is where the beef is for sure. He is ranked in the top 2% of the breed for weaning and yearling weights gaining 3.77lbs to yearling weight. This bull’s maternal genetics go back to the foundational matriarch in Princess 95X. We retained every daughter she had here. She is the granddam to Super Duty 89F. A maternal brother sold to Brightside Stables-Russel, MB at the 2024 Blue Collar.

Alpha Man 48N is a long spined sound bull. He won’t blow you away in any one area but simply does everything well. His dam, Susan 136D has been a sound and productive cow here. She does her job year after year. Alpha Man 48N’s granddam 122B is an elite dam and his great granddam, Susan 47Z is still working here. She had a February 7th Super Duty heifer calf this year. The consistency and longevity in this guy’s genes are something to garner for sure.
In the bovine world, 65N maybe as royal bred a bull in our humble herd that there is. This bull wonderful muscle and shape to him. Sports numbers in the top 6% for weaning and yearling weights. I often see him standing by the feeder, straw pack… proudly presenting himself. I say to myself, “Self, that is a good looking bull!” As the saying goes, “Life is too short to look at ugly cattle.” He has the appearance of his paternal brother Alpha Man 7L - Sire to Lots 8. While 65N will essentially sell himself I would be remise if I didn’t point out his pedigree. Ruth 906G is a very, very, very good Angus female. Density is known as a female producer and seems to have endless appeal. Whenever Density semen is on the auction block the bidding is like WOW!!! Now with a heaping bunch of Ruth to boot you get have tremendous genetic potential and appeal. It should be noted that this guys granddam and great granddam are elite females with the CAA. A wise cattleman once told me when you can get your hands on elite type genetics you better pit in and buy them. Alpha Man 1L is a full brother that is working well at Rio Grande Angus, Beaver Lodge, Alberta. Anna & Clint have said 1L has garnered some positive attention with the neighbors but is also doing a very good job for them. Look for Alpha Man to add style, functionality and productivity to your herd. You will also keep a lot if not all his daughters.
Maternal Brother, TTF 56M, Sold to Zuchkan Land & Livestock, Foam Lake in Blue Collar Sale 2025
Alpha Man 7L sold in the 2024 Blue Collar to our good friends at Venture Farms. Greg touted him as the next Super Duty 89F from our place. That is a massive statement because those are huge shoes to fill. Let me tell you that with calves from this guy are certainly causing me to wonder if Greg was right. 7L was used as a clean up on year 1 and then he became “the guy” for all the 1st calvers and the cows calving after March 1. Structurally this guy is second to none. Feet impeccable, deep bodied and big ribbed. He is in the top 20% for weaning and yearling weight and the top 1% for scrotal. He was indeed the heir to Super Duty. Unfortunately, 7L laid in a precarious spot and well $h!t he died. That was a crappy call to get from Greg. Thank you to Venture Farms for allowing us to use this bull.
Meet IRV. He is a February born bull that seemed to have a show off character all pasture season long. He is as proud and as full of character as they come. You want a bull to get out there and move? IRV’s the man. What impresses me a lot about him is his hip and quarter. He has a barrel on him too. IRV’s dam, Pride 26J is proving to be a very good young cow here. She has excellent feet, udder and is super angular. She was absolutely John’s best heifer he offered that year. I’ve been through John’s cows a few times and his attention to feet and udder quality is obvious. IRV has a moderate birthweight but offers a ton of performance to him. If you are looking to add style and performance to your calves give IRV a go. IRV is halter broke to boot.
Well, this guy is an excellent choice for a calving ease bull out of Sitz Essential. We used essential for his low BW numbers, explosive growth, good scrotal numbers and reports of vigorous calves. We have more calves on the ground this year and are using him again for this breeding season. His great grandsire, Substantial, is a heifer we used 10 years ago and loved the results. As a matter of fact, I dusted off some Substantial straws for heifers last year. We have calves on the ground again. His daughters have been outstanding here. 19N is a deep sided, excellent topped low bw bull. I have always loved his shape, depth and style. He is out of a stunning Ruth/Rainmaker daughter. She is going to be an excellent cow for years to come. Ruth 71L was AI ed and stuck to Growth Fund having a Jan 24 heifer calf. Love that fertility. Make a Bold move and look to 19N for your heifer bull needs. Recommended for heifers.

“Heeerrree’s Johnny!” This bull was known by some as “The Best Bull You Have Raised”. Not sure on that one but we are all entitled to our opinion. Having said that, Johnny was vg. He was used very successfully on heifers and then as our catch up bull on first and later calvers. WOW! What a job he did. You will see with 10 sons in this sale that the apple does not fall far from the tree. The hip, the hair, the scrotal development and the calving ease shape and size are definitely a chip of the old block. Johnny is backed by the incredible Zara Lisa 84D. We have 4 maternal sisters in our herd. She continues to kick out calves. Having a Jan 20th Magnum bull calf here. A wise man (A$$) said to me this spring all angus are calving ease and some are heifer bulls. Confidently look at the Cha Chings for calving ease, performance, hair, maternal traits and soundness. This group of 10 Cha Chings rival the Super Duty groups of past sales for sure.
Lot 10
This guy maybe be a lifer in terms of a heifer bull. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree here. If Johnny looked in the mirror, he would see this guy for sure. Cha Ching 7N is a hairy, shapely bull. This guy has a birth weight of 65lbs and a epd of -1.3. This bull has a tremendous hip and loads of middle to him. He has the fluffiest of hair coats too. Whether you want bulls or heifers this guy will provide excellent opportunity for both. If you’re in the business of making show steers Cha Ching 7N should produce excellent ones. This bull is highly recommended for heifers.

“Enter the Sandman”. You can hear Metallica’s beat and are moving your head to it right now aren’t you? In this bull’s calving numbers and his design, he should be a lifer as a heifer bull. The sleep ease type. Excellent hip and shape to this bull. He is backed by the powerful Ruth 30K cow. She is a spitting image of her mother Ruth 70Y. With the genetics here the structurally integrity should be outstanding. The steers should be shapely, stylish and profitable. This bull’s calving ease numbers are with in the top 6% of the breed with a 70lb birth weight. Recommended for heifers.
Lot 11
This guy is affectionately called Moe. He is halter broke and a member of our Champion British & Reserve overall. Moe has great skull shape and chiselled calving ease features. Toss in his mass, muscle and shape make him a standout. Moe tends to be one that shows himself off wherever he is in the pen. Lucy 45K is a cow that will absolutely grab your attention when you see her. She has great feminine front end with great balance in terms of power. Being a Super Duty daughter simply adds to her appeal. Cha Ching 14N is proud and presents with that herd bull look. He is in the top 25% of the breed for birth weight, top 20% for weaning and yearling weights. Recommended for heifers.

Excellent muscle expression and shape in this bull from front to back. He is a bull that is built for those “Get your catchers mitt out” kinda calvings. He sports a 72lb, -0.1 bw epd, making him a very good heifer bull. His dam, Dolly 36N, was our selection of the pick of the heifer calves we purchased from J & S Angus. She is the granddam to the Lot 10 bull. Recommended for heifers.

Cha Ching 28N is that bull that simply jumps out at you. It started last summer when Talon & Alexis were pasture checking with me. As they talk in North Battleford. Them “Dad that 28N bull is a very good bull!” Me, “I know he is.” Them, “We should throw a halter on him, he’s that good.” Me, “I know, talk to your mother. She says we can only show 3.” LOL! If you have seen Johnny in person, you have seen 28N then too. This bull profiles super well and when you get in behind him he has the quarter, hip and loin that I really like. When you see lot 10 and this guy together you may feel like a piece of Doublemint Gum. For those of you old enough to remember that 70’s Wrigley’s commercial. He is backed by a very good KG Justified daughter with a beautiful udder, sound structure and very attractive. Her first calf sold to Jones Creek & Middle Bench Angus at Shaunavon, Sk in the 2025 Blue Collar. “Mr. Sandman bring me a dream bring me the easiest calving bull I’ve ever seen.” This bull

This maybe the smoothest made of the Cha Chings. He is a bull that may be a long-term heifer bull in your herd. His dam, Belle 51K, is a Belle/Attractive daughter with good feet, great udder and lots of hair. The granddam, Belle 111C, has been designated an elite dam by the CAA. Genetics to hold onto for the long run. You will entertain hanging on to a lot of the daughters out of this bull. Calves don’t need to grow on the inside they need to grow well on the outside and with a 70lb BW and a -0.2 bw epd this bull comes recommended for heifers.
Meet Timmy. He is a sharp dressed man, and everyone is crazy about a sharp dressed man. Timmy has a super made skull, smooth front end and is as furry as they come, almost Yak like. I like Timmy for what he offers on his own, but his dam is simply outstanding. Susan 3L was selected by Tim & Darcy Taylor of Wolseley in the 2024 Touch of Class. They leased her back to us and Timmy is her first calf. She has excellent feet and wonderful udder with great teat length and placement. This performance type of cow, like all the Attractives here, is very hairy too. Timmy’s granddam is an excellent Super Duty daughter and the great granddam Susan 47Z calved again here in February. The longevity in these genetics is very desirable. The maternal side of Timmy is very appealing. Recommended for heifers.

“AWOOOOOGAA!!! Eye popping guy here. Cha Ching 82H is a March born bull that we had in our show pen but because of numbers and help he was left behind. Front to back, top to bottom his is tough to fault. Cha Ching 82N has all the tools required to be a long-term heifer bull. We used a Renovation son out of 99Z, a maternal brother to Super Duty 89F. We had 9 calves from him, using him successfully on heifers. We retained 4 daughters and they are all fantastic. We had huge hopes for 109J until he broke his “love stick”. Blackcap 61L is a head turning dam to 82N. This bull is flat good, has a mild even keel temperament like me. LOL! He is the ¾ brother to lot 18. Recommended for heifers.

Dam Blackcap 61L
This mid March born bull is a ¾ brother to lot 17. He is smooth made and super proud. 95N is built entirely for calving ease. You will appreciate his smooth head and shoulders that adequately meet with solid shape and mass. He kinda has a headed like the tiny headed Bettlejuice. The term royally bred gets tossed around from time to time. The dam’s of this pedigree are all that with Zara Lisa 84D, Princess 99Z and Ruth 84J the maternal guessing is taken care off. We know what these cows are and what they can do. All I know is on more than on occasion I have said “That 101L, I really like that cow.” 95N has a 70lb bw and a +0.1 bw epd to put him in the top 15% of the breed for calving. Recommended for heifers.

For you wrestling fans here is the “Triple H” of the bovine world. HEAD, HIP & HAIR. He has all three of these things in spades. This hairy dude is stylish and attractive which is no surprise when you see his sire and dam. Like all the Rainmaker daughters, Belle 16L is a powerful, long deep bodied female with great feet and an udder that makes me smile. This is the youngest bull in our offering. He will have just turned a year at sale time but don’t overlook him because of his age. He will grow and mature just like his other brothers. While he has solid heifer bull numbers, he also has strong performance numbers too. This fella will work well for a group of heifers for a couple of years and then should be one that could graduate to a pasture of cows. Recommended for heifers.

REF SIRE: Deer Valley Growth Fund
Using Growth Fund has become a no brainer. He is predictable in how he breeds and what we can breed him too. We used him for his eye appeal and his strong performance numbers. For the past two years, we did not use him a bunch but for this breeding season I have secured more semen on him. He has died but the dependability and predictability in what he can do for us has made him desirable for sure.

Like Mark Messier or any of those rise to the playoffs occasion performers, this guy is a “Real Gamer”. His dam got injured in the spring. We kept her as long as we could to try to ensure she raised this guy before we had to send her to town. In mid July we realized we were tempting fate and had to ship her. So this guy was on his own. He rose to the challenge and never missed a beat. He is super eye appealing. Lots of muscle and shape to him. Very good depth. This heifer bull is a super neat and one to address your calving needs for your heifer pasture. He sports a -0.2 bw epd and a 70lb bw with fantastic growth. Recommended for heifers.

Cue Amy. “Ok what Lot number are you on now? What % done are you?” Me. “I don’t know. I am chipping away.” Rumble 79N is an excellent cow bull. This Feb 20th bull performs with the rest of the older big boys in the pen. He is a load. The hair and nuts really stand out for me on him. He has a definite look to him that makes him a very appealing bull. His dam is a very nicely made cow with a daughter being the dam to lot 14. She’s a real gem of a cow. For those of you who want that calf to be able to “break the sack” and “handle the cold weather”, this is your bull for sure.

Well, you have read highly verbose footnotes on this awesome bull in past catalogues. Neil, as we call him has been nothing short of spectacular. His sons and daughters are both sought after. Last year his 10 bulls in the sale garnered a lot of attention. We have retained a lot I mean a lot of Neil’s daughters. Our 2-year-olds this year we had 10 and 17 of them were Super Duty daughters. We offered a pick of our breds at the Touch of Class last fall. Autumn Dew was the winning bidder. When they came to make their selection, they had it narrowed down to Super Duty females. They took home a Ruth/Super Duty daughter. Thank you, Logan and Larry.
Neil is 8 years old. Just like me he is starting to show how many rings are in the trunk but also just like me he has lots left in the tank. LOL!!! In the picture pen this year Alexis said, “Dad you’re slow.” Me, “Where do I have to be fast?” Kinda like Neil, he doesn’t have to be at the cows fast, he just needs to “get the job done”. Just like me. Since we only used Neil to clean up the last two years we don’t have a lot of progenies from him. However, Neil will be used as much as possible this spring cause it could be his last.

His dam Princess 97D has been a steady and consistent producer here for us. Her 1st calf sold at the 2019 Blue Collar to Murray & Kerry Greenstein, Rhein, Sk. That bull was still at their place last fall. I have seen the bull a year ago or so. He has excellent feet, tremendous mass and extremely good temperament. Tibbie 17L- Maternal Sib Sold to Abound Livestock, Moose Jaw, SK in Touch of Class
Here is a mid March born heifer bull. He is smooth made with elite calving ease numbers at -0.6 bw epd and 70lb bw. The saying you “breed ugly to ugly your gonna get ugly.” Well the opposite is also true. This guy is really coming into his own and competing well with his older pen mates. Tibbie 73E is a massive bodied powerful cow. We have retained 2 daughters from her. The daughter we sold to Abound is reportedly doing very well there. Look to this guy to bred to your heifers. You will want to consider retaining a lot of daughters from this bull. Recommended for heifers.
I love this bull because of who he is, but when you add in his genetic make up he is even more appealing. This bull is a long deep bodied heifer bull that has a large toolbox under him and sound feet and legs. His is out of a impressively massive cow, Princess 98G. 98G has had 3 daughters here and we have retained each and every one of them. We truly believe in these genetics. This late March born bull has the numbers and design to be a solid heifer bull. The 125J calves come out small and full of piss and vinegar. Recommended for heifers.

This Super Duty grandson is a long-bodied bull. If you’re looking for a cow bull that will add some frame and size to your cows this could be the guy. He has a powerful Belle/Resource dam. She is a very complete cow. This bull has a great deal of character to him.
REF SIRE: SAV Magnum 1335
We are always seeking new and interesting genetics for ourselves and our customers. Magnum is a unique outcross pedigree. When selecting a sire to AI to I look at certain numbers 1. Scrotal, 2. Foot structure, 3. BW, 4. WW, 5. YW. Magnum measures up well in all these areas. He is in the top 1% of the breed for birth weight, weaning weight and yearling weights. The calves from Magnum come out small but really grow. When one person recently saw these three bulls he said, “Those calves were that small when they were born? Holy they are impressive now.” We have a good number of calves again this year.
This guy is a mile long, deep bodied and smooth made. He appears to have vg scrotal development. Sniper 1N is has a 70lb bw and -0.7 bw epd and when you then add in his growth numbers in the top 1% of the breed you kinda have the “holy grail” of bulls. If you examine his pedigree you will notice some very unique genetics with Magnum and Cache. A real outcross. His dam is, as all Zara Lisa’s are, outstanding. Top to bottom, front to back she is a really good angus cow. She has had 3 bull calves here. Her first sold to the Wunders-Foam Lake, Sk. in the 2024 Blue Collar. Her second was a rip but lost him to illness and now Sniper 1N. Take a shot at Sniper 1N for your heifer needs and explosive growth calves. Recommended for heifers.

Take aim for your breeding program with Sniper 2N. He is a bull with moderate calving ease but tremendous growth in the top 2% of the breed for weaning and yearling weights. Sniper 2N is, as “THEY” say, “Longer than a visit from the mother-inlaw.” Of course not mine. Insert winking/smiley emoji. I also appreciate this bull’s depth of body. This would come from his big powerful Renovation Dam. This bull’s maternal sister is a beauty. On the tour this past summer, Hayden was standing admiring a cow by the feed bunk. It was Lucy 45K, also dam to lot 12. He said to me, “Troy this is a very good cow.” To which I simply said, “Thanks.” If you want that power bull for your cows look to Sniper 2N for that.

It is really hard not to pump the tires of Sniper 46N. This bull is as nice a headed and smooth made one as you will find. The depth and mass to this bull will grab your attention too. He is +0.9 bw epd. So should work in the heifer pen too. I would be remise if I did not mention this guy’s dam. Zara Lisa is an eye-popping Super Duty 89F daughter. She has the feet, the udder, the feminine look that makes an outstanding Angus female. She also brings incredible mass to the table. You will also notice that this guys grandmother is the dam to the Cha Ching 98J bull the sire to lots 10-19. It is very apparent we believe in what the Zara Lisa’s bring to the table. Zara Lisa 104H’s bull sold to the Sawley’s at Fenwood. We saw him this fall and he looks fantastic. Dan calls him, “Mr. Wonderful.” Sniper 46N stands out all on his own but if you were wanting to ever buy a bull cause of a cow, well this could be the one. Oh! Thunder was born in 2005. The saying, “The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.” That is very true here as we waited to use him year’s ago and dusted off some straws in 2024 for breeding again. My decisions can often be questionable but using thunder again is not one of them. His daughters are simply outstanding and his sons well, judge for yourself. Thunder had 1252 progeny in Canada; he has been designated an elite sire in 2025, 20 years after his birth with 10 elite daughters. We had one of them, Princess 99Z
“All gas and no brakes.” Tulsa King came out in a moderate 80lb bw and just exploded after that. A calf that came out of a small his growth numbers are absolutely kooky. He looks like a mature herd bull already. Tulsa King looks like a man. When I look at this bull I notice his good muzzle, bold chest and shoulder, mature crest, deep & massive middle and great muscle shape in the back end. This bull is very complete in my mind. Now when you examine his pedigree you really have to appreciate the maternal power on the bottom side. Two of, what I would call our foundational cows, in Princess 99Z and Ruth 84S. The influence these two cows have had on our little herd can’t be overstated. These two elite dams produce quality bulls and heifers. While this guy is a calving ease type bull in type and numbers, I would recommend using him on 2nd calvers and maybe a few larger heifers for year one to see how he calves out. The females from this bull should be ones that you will want to keep for sure. Take a close look at this blast from the past.
Lot 29
Here is a long sided deep bull calf out of a heifer. Tulsa King 68N is a smooth made bull out of a Princess. Lots of maternal in this bull with VG growth to him. I would experiment with his calving ease year one on 2nd calvers before using him on heifers.
REF SIRE: Ellingson Profound 8155
We were looking for a performance sire to use that was tried, tested and true. A high degree of predictability makes using Profound a bit of a no brainer. This bull is a very moderate birth weight bull with strong weaning and yearling weight numbers. Journey 13N has a look to him that I find very appealing. His appearance has you drawn into him when I see him on the straw pack or in the pen. He is well nutted too. This guys dam, Tibbie 106F is a very good, deep bodied and productive Angus cow. A maternal brother, Super Duty 102J was purchased by Forbes Ranch in the 2022 Blue Collar. They have had 118 calves from him and 10 bulls from him are in their sale this spring. Look to Journey 13N for predictability and consistency in his matings. Recommended for use on larger heifers and 2nd Calvers for the first year.

Journey 35N has had the draw you in look from a calf. I have always found him an attractive low birth weight bull with lots of shape and power. He has a more than adequate toolbox under him. It is hard to find any holes in this guy. His dam, in not, “just a small-town girl.” And he’s not “just a city boy.” Beauty 112F has been a productive cow here. We have retained 3 daughters from her. She is a feminine, angular, sound cow that just seems to get things done. This bull is recommended for heifers.
was our pick that year at the sale. We felt she was a very sound, complete and genetically appealing female. Journey 59N is a beginning of February bull that ties a lot of things together-smooth made and sound. Within his pedigree he has Stellar and Final Answer two calving ease giants. Journey 59N should be able to follow those footsteps. He is out of a Profound son that was used successfully on heifers at Nessett Lake. Recommended for heifers.

Heifer bull here though. A nicely built/shaped Feb born bull. He is the kinda bull that should be a heifer bull for the long haul with the right numbers and size. Topsy 92L is a nicely made, structurally sound female we selected out of Eastondale’s production sale. She had 63N on February 3rd. We put her with the bull for Jan 1st calving. This guy has the “eye of the tiger” for sure. “Risin' up, straight to the top” 7% of the breed in weaning and yearling weights. “Has the guts” had the nuts and the butt. You know those big budget movies that go nowhere? Well, this guy ain’t one of those. He’s kinda like the movie Rocky a classic from beginning to end, an Oscar winner. Now if you’re like my mother-in-law, Judy, saying, “Ya right!, Rocky is dumb. Rocky didn’t win an Oscar.” Me, “Actually, Rocky won 3.” I know you’re gonna google it. LOL! I also I know it was a risk to prove my mother-in-law wrong. This guy has a very good blend of power and maternal strength in his pedigree. Lucy 137F is a solid and productive cow. We have a L daughter working well for us, the dam to lot 2. We also used her Brutus son as a clean up bull. As you can see from his pasture picture he has always been “one of those.” Look to this guy for raw power.

Stallone 58N has had excellent shape and masculine appeal to him as you can see from his pasture picture. This guy is sound, good set of pantses under him and excellent temperament too. Beauty 8H, was our pick of the Touch of Class that year from the Haynes Family. We have really loved this cow’s mass and performance. She is exactly the kinda cow that fits into our type of herd. Beauty 8H, is “rising up to the challenge of her rivals” and has become a CAA elite dam in just 4 calves. WOW! We have retained a daughter for ourselves. She calved in Feb and is doing an excellent job. Shiels Angus has a daughter too and she is doing a great job for them. Stallone 58N is a bull that may be a heifer friendly bull down the road, but I would field test him in year one.

Our family would like to welcome you to the 20th Annual Blue Collar Bull Sale. Hard to believe it’s been 20 years already!
Our family has been raising purebred Angus cattle since 1933 and have been registering calves with the Canadian Angus Association for 85 years. We currently have the Fifth generation of Parkwood Farm actively raising Angus cattle and working on the farm. We are proud to be a family run operation.
We have on offer a wide variety of genetics, including DL Zoom, Ellingson Deep River, S A V Rainfall, Ellingson Prolific and Coleman Easy Decision just to name a few. We are continually searching for new sire groups that will provide moderate birth weights as well as growth to the weaning and yearling stages. We also run a small feedlot operation, so we understand the need to have performance bred into these calves for when they go to market. When selecting genetics it is also very important to us to breed and develop a strong, maternal female group that is the foundation of our herd. Through the use of our herd bulls, AI sires and embryo purchases we feel that we have a strong and productive group of females on our farm.
If you wish to view the bulls prior to the sale, the farm is always open and you are more than welcome to stop by. Otherwise they will be available at Heartland Livestock in Yorkton starting on the afternoon of April 9th right up until sale time at 1:00pm Saturday April 11th.
Please feel free to contact Scott at 306-621-3638 or Landon at 306-516-7893 anytime!
Thanks and we hope to see you all at the sale!

He offers calving ease without sacrificing performance. We have Brutus dams now on the farm that are proving to be a great asset to the farm.

JODIE 786
2N is a true curve bender bull with a low birth weight, double digit calving ease and added growth with a weaning weight of 855. He is a great looking calving ease bull with overall balance and structural correctness. This bull has calving ease all over in his pedigree, his dam having Basin Safe Deposit as a sire and the sire having Coleman Rock in his background. We would recommend this bull for heifers.

106N is another incredible Sting son with worlds of shape and style. He’s a real stock bull with width, thickness, muscle and rump structure coupled with a nice moderate birth weight. His Trust dam is a moderate, deep bodied, easy fleshing cow with loads of femininity and docility.
79N is a solid Sting son with extra length and muscle and the look of a real breeding bull. We purchased his sire from the 2024 Bar MM bull sale and are very happy with the job he has done. His Premier granddam was an integral part of our flush program and has had 21 progeny and 18 grandcalves produced here at Parkwood. His dam is as long as they come, with great feet and a flawless udder.

17N is a very fancy S A V Rainfall daughter out of a beautiful young dam. We believe that these Rainfall dams are a complete maternal package with high growth, top milking potential and an overall eye appealing feminine look. 17N’s premier granddam has left us many top- quality daughters that we have retained as well as sold many sons at previous sales.
PARKWOOD ALICIA
28N has a very powerful pedigree with Ellingson Badlands, S A V President, S A V America and Soo Line Motive all in her background. She has all the makings of a great producer. She’s feminine and sound footed and we believe she has a very promising future. We have just calved out our first Badlands daughters and are impressed with their maternal instincts as they all mothered up very quickly.

Here is a Merit King daughter that’s very feminine and has all the makings of a beautiful cow. She has tonnes of rib shape and loads of depth. Her maternal granddam should also add docility and longevity to her package as she calved for 16 seasons! She is also in the pedigree of another heifer we are offering for sale this year!
43N is a thick made heifer with natural muscling and easy do-ability. She is deep bodied with expressive shape and exceptional foot quality.

Welcome to the 20th Annual Blue Collar Bull and Heifer Sale! We continue to appreciate the opportunity to play a small part in this feature angus sale that has become synonymous with quality and longevity.
This year, we present to you, four open heifers that we feel define what we do at Irving Angus. They represent cow families that have maternal traits and physical attributes that have stood up over the years at our place. These females spent the summer on native pasture in the ravines and coulees along the Qu’Appelle Valley. They were weaned onto oat bales and alfalfa until mid-January, when a moderate amount of mixed grain was introduced. This year, whenever we tried to think we were going to travel or transport, we were met with challenging weather and icy road conditions, so instead of sending the heifers over to Northern View prior to sale, we kept the group at home until the sale date.
We trust that you will find these heifers to be in excellent functional condition. They have received BOVILIS Covexin Plus (x2), BoviShield Gold FP®5 VL5, and Ivomec application.
We hope that you will find a moment to view this group prior to sale. Opportunity awaits! The Irvings

We are honoured to take part in the 20th Annual Blue Collar Bull Sale. A sincere thank you goes out to the consignors for the opportunity to offer two heifer calves in this year’s sale.
Shiels Angus was established in 2023, with a focus on producing functional, practical cattle with sound feet, tidy udders, and good disposition. While we may be new to breeding, we are fortunate to have excellent mentors in the team at Northernview.
Both heifers on offer were shown at Harvest Showdown in Yorkton and are halter broke. These females are the kind that should complement any program looking to add functional, feminine replacements.
We are located at Northernview, just across the road, and the heifers can be viewed at any time. For inquiries, please call or text 306 580 5936.
See you at the sale!
If bills weren’t a thing, this heifer would be staying right here on the ranch. She’s a beautifully made, deep bodied female with loads of potential. Her dam, 36L, was purchased from Hillary Sauder in 2023 as a calf and is currently raising a strong Northernview Alphaman 7L bull calf at her side.
Another standout female in the offering is 5N. We purchased her dam, 245K, from J Square S as a bred in 2023. A look at her pedigree shows she traces back to the legendary Northernview Ruth 84S. If you’ve ever read a Blue Collar catalogue, you’ll know 84S - she was a cornerstone cow in their program and left a lasting impact. We’re excited to have 245K working in our herd and look forward to seeing what she produces for us next.
