Myths from Every Corner of the World
With their enchanting, natural powers and often fragile beauty, faeries and nymphs can be found in myths and tales from around the world. These captivating stories invoke their roots in nature and magic, as well as their turbulent interactions with the human world. Faeries and nymphs are both mythical beings, but they have distinct characteristics. Nymphs can be found in Greek mythology and are considered to be nature spirits. They inhabit various natural environments such as mountains, groves, springs, rivers, valleys and grottoes. Faeries, on the other hand, have a broader mythology. They appear in folklore and literature from various cultures, ranging from Chinese to Roman, Slavic to Korean. In some traditions, fairies are known as the ‘Fair Folk’, a term encompassing various magical beings with supernatural qualities.

Gorgeous collectable edition of The Moonstone, a thrilling tale from the original master of detective fiction Wilkie Collins. Transported from the temples of India to Victorian England, this is a tale that twists between death, drugs, mystery and, most of all, misdirection. Collins spins a tale of intrigue with many a wrong turn as the moonstone leaves a path of destruction in its wake.
Author: Considered by many the founder of the crime novel, William Wilkie Collins (1824–89) was, unlike many of his peers, a great literary success within his own lifetime, even eclipsing the earnings of his mentor, Charles Dickens, at one point. His fame was boosted by a certain notoriety for what many perceived as his scandalous and immoral private life. Introduction: Originally from Vancouver BC, Rohan Maitzen has an Honours BA in English and History and an MA and PhD in English Language and Literature. Since 1995, she has been a member of the English Department at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where her main teaching area is the Victorian novel.

When Raven was a girl, Floyd brutally murdered one of those kind souls, Miss Ruth Jefferson, when the woman made the fatal decision to open the door to him on a pitch-black 4th of July night. As Raven learned of her father’s crimes, she vowed to do everything in her power to put men like him away.
