I’m Said, a Colombian Architect specialized in providing design services for residential & commercial

As the head designer at Mirillo, an architecture & design studio operating remotely from Colombia, my goal is to guarantee the fulfillment of the personal and financial needs of your project in accordance with the highest standards of the design market.

Mirillo is the materialization of 5 years of experience working remotely with American Architects and Designers in a wide range of interior and exterior renovations of apartments, houses, commercial projects and two to twelve story residential buildings. Most of projects being located in NYC.

Defining your style and plant preferences: send us your inspiration images and take our style quiz to find out whats the best approach for your design

Defining your budget: Let us know what you want on your outdoor space, hardscape, softscape, a hot tube, a deck, an outdoor kitchen... We can help by giving you an estimate of how much should be budgeted for each element. Hands to work! Now we have all we need to start with your design. You will receive renders from a 3D model of your property so you are able to see how everything would look like once is built.

Review it, give us some feedback and wait a bit more for the final results!

The specification book!

Once your design is ready we deliver all the plans, renders and specifications so it can be quoted and built by local contractors.

• Designs broke down into an specification book that your contractor can use to work on permitting, drainage & irrigation plans, constructive details and technical specs as water, gas and electrical lines.

Location: Denver, CO. Client: Family with dogs.

Budget: $35,000 Intervention: Frontyard, Backyards.

Plants: Non toxic, low maintenance, low water needs.

Intervention: (1) Visual trap for appliances

(2) Green wall for delimiting property

(3) Plant design for frontyard (4) Deck

(5) Furniture Selection (6) Visual trap for privacy

(7) Natural Lawn (8) Garden Design for driveway

Circled planted areas for minimizing costs while giving a modern look. The proposed deck brought life to the existing social area that now is visually separated from the neighbors with tall trellises but connected to the new lawn patio trough a modern concrete pavers.

The spending really depends on what elements you want to include in your design and we are here to orientate you on the average costs for different options you may have depending on your general budget, needs and requirements.

Our mindset is to be practical and efficient on the costs of our proposals, so you can count on our ability to come up with clever design strategies to bring life and joy into your outdoor spaces.

No budget is a restriction for us. Our experience as designers is reflected in the quality of the spaces we propose no mater what’s your budget.

TEXAS HOUSE

Location: Plainview, TX. Client: Family with dogs.

Budget: $100,000 Intervention: Front yard, Backyard.

Plants: Non toxic, low maintenance, low water needs.

Intervention: (1) New Plant selection (2) Fruit trees

(3) Outdoor kitchen: egg grill, grill, pizza oven, sink.

(4) Hardscape (5) Furniture selection (6) Lighting

(7) Hot tub and deck (8) Softscape

Bushes on frontyard were replaced for a selection of evergreen plants. Social areas are delimited by basic tiles for the kitchen area and concrete pavers for the conversation area with an fire pit. A deck was proposed for the wet area next to the natural lawn.

IMPROVING YOUR EXTERIORS

• Want to make an improvement on your whole exteriors? At Mirillo we can assist you with a selection of materials for the renovation of your house that matches the landscape design for your outdoor spaces. In this study case the client wanted not only a new design for his frontyard but also wanted to improve the general outlook of his house were we proposed a modern look using material with a more traditional aspect as wood slabs with stone coverings and black finishings.
