With its sea of tall towers and its canyon-like streets, the metropolis of São Paulo can seem some what forbidding at first glance. It’s to the coffee trade that the city
owes its evolution into one of South America’s most important economic hubs. And its growth over the years has been upwards and outwards at an ever-increasing
pace. Look a little closer, though, and a different picture emerges. Stand on the oval roof terrace of São Paulo University’s Museum of contemporary art and you’ll just feel
the city’s appeal.
