To ensure a long life of the battery, make sure to minimize deep discharge on flooded batteries. When you calculate the need of battery power avoid exceeding 50% of the battery capacity. Even if the battery can handle a few deep discharges, it will deteriorate faster. Furthermore, a poorly charged battery can easily freeze in cold temperatures and damage the casing as well as the inside. All batteries have a self-discharge even if it is not connected to any consumers. When stored make sure to check battery status and recharge when needed. Use appropriate charger for AGM. Self-discharge occurs less in lower temperatures as well as charging less efficient. Never replace a vehicle’s factory fitted AGM battery with a flooded lead acid battery. Vehicles with factory fitted AGM’s use functions specifically with AGM technology in mind. Batteries connected in series should always be replaced together. Both batteries must have same voltage and amperage. When leaving our warehouse they are checked and charged. •
