The great coast - Höga Kusten The High Coast of Ångermanland lies in the north of Sweden along the Gulf of Bothnia. The land, once compacted by glaciers, has been changing dramatically, becoming more vertical. Technically, it has risen, or “rebounded,” 295 meters, becoming the world’s

highest coastline. Known as Höga Kusten in Sweden, the High Coast has a dramatic landscape that stretches for miles with woods and river valleys to the dramatic coastline, guaranteeing every visitor a taste of Sweden’s source of pride and joy: nature. /P22

A Swedish legacy sport

Before geocaching there was orienteering. Invented in Sweden more than 100 years ago, orienteering has become an international sport with variations that involve skis, bicycles or a wheelchair. But its archetypical competitions require the use of map and compass - no GPS allowed - to navigate an outdoor course on foot, and scored so the fastest orienteer wins. The sport attracts people of all ages and skill levels, and you don’t have to be a superstar to compete – not even in the world’s largest orienteering competition. / P16-21 Sweden’s retirement age on the rise / p5 The woman behind the man / p6 Sweden’s unique election – with the same government / p14
