There’s no better way to keep up traditions than food, and October brings about one of our favorite special days—the day of the cinnamon bun. / P12
On land, water & air
Sweden’s great outdoors has amazing diversity, offering some of Scandinavia’s best – arguably some of the world’s best – adventures all year round. From hiking, biking and water sports in the mountains of Åre usually known for skiing, to leisurely sightseeing and dining on the freshest catch of the day in the archipelagos of either coast, we take you on a day-trip to Möja, a two-hour boat trip from central Stockholm, that’s in itself part of the adventure (Images from the Stockholm archipelago). / P14, 18
Sweden’s election
No major surprises compared to surveys prior to the election and no clear winner opens for an eventful autumn. The Greens lost votes as did the Moderate party along with the Social Democrats. The governing center-left lost a bit less than expected, mostly due to the left party growing and the Social Democrats losing less than expected. Both the Christian Democrats and the Liberals gained compared to the election four years ago but the main winner in terms of votes, as projected, were the Sweden Democrats. / P24 What about all those open-faced sandwiches / p2
