Sharing Cultural Heritage
Throughout the year, The Embassy of Sweden in Washington, DC offers a Mobile Passport Station to Swedish citizens all over the U.S. as it travels to consulates in New York, San Francisco, Fort Lauderdale, Seattle, Chicago, LA, Atlanta, San Diego, Dallas and Houston. This year, the Seattle-based Swedish consul of Washington and Oregon hand-delivered passports to some Portland area Swedes in an effort to meet them for himself. Together with more of the Swedish American community, they all met at the historic Fogelbo (left) and Broder restaurant, the Swedish hubs of the community, and at the celebrated new Nordic Cultural Center. / Page 4 (Image: Fogelbo, a Swedish Pacific treasure)
