Welcome to Surval Winter Camp

Surval’s Winter Camp is a world class experience for girls aged 12-18 from all over the world.

Every winter, our Winter Camp welcomes girls from around the world for an extraordinary alpine experience combining language learning, skiing, adventure, and cultural discovery. Whether joining us for a winter holiday programme or preparing for a future academic year at Surval, Winter Camp offers unforgettable experiences, international friendships, and lifelong memories in the heart of Switzerland.

Our Winter Camp combines both academic, cultural and winter activities taking full advantage of our prime location in the beautiful Swiss mountains. Girls who join us for Winter Camp become members of our international Surval Montreux community, and are fully integrated into School life, with a multitude of clubs, activities and experiences to enjoy.

What does a week look like?

Morning Language Classes

At Surval, language learning goes far beyond the classroom. Through interactive lessons, cultural excursions, conversation workshops, cooking activities, and real-world experiences, girls are encouraged to practise French or English in fun, natural, and meaningful ways. This immersive approach helps build confidence, fluency, and a genuine love for languages.

Savoir Vivre

Alongside physical activities and skiing, girls enjoy a range of creative and hands-on sessions that allow them to express themselves, relax and try something new.

Travel and exploration are at the heart of the Surval Winter Camp experience. Throughout the programme, girls enjoy memorable excursions that introduce them to Switzerland’s rich culture, history, and breathtaking alpine landscapes, while creating lasting friendships with girls from around the world.

From the charming streets of Bern and the lakeside elegance of Lausanne and Geneva, to the traditional beauty of Gruyères and Vevey, girls discover the very best of Switzerland in an inspiring and enriching environment, as well as enjoying a selection of iconic winter experiences listed below.

Ski Weekends

Surval Winter Camp Weekend offers girls an unforgettable alpine experience in some of the world’s most renowned ski resorts. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery, they spend their days skiing on pristine slopes, guided by professional instructors who help build confidence and skill at every level.

Beyond the thrill of skiing, the weekend is filled with laughter, friendship, and a true sense of adventure. Evenings are just as special, with cozy moments, shared stories, and fun activities that bring everyone together.

It’s more than just a ski trip—it’s a chance for girls to challenge themselves, create lasting memories, and experience the magic of winter in an inspiring and supportive environment.

Grimentz

15 - 17 January 2027

Nestled in the Val d’Anniviers, Grimentz is one of Switzerland’s most charming ski destinations. With its traditional wooden chalets and breathtaking alpine views, it offers a truly authentic mountain experience.

Leukerbad

12- 14 February 2027

Set in the heart of the Swiss Alps, Leukerbad is one of Switzerland’s most renowned mountain spa destinations. Famous for its natural thermal springs and stunning ski slopes and breathtaking scenery.

Zermatt

12- 14 March 2027

At the foot of the iconic Matterhorn, Zermatt is one of the most charming ski destinations in the world. With its car-free village, breathtaking alpine scenery, from wide, sunny slopes to high-altitude runs with spectacular views, Zermatt combines exceptional skiing with elegance—making every moment on and off the slopes unforgettable.

Ski Week

25 January to 31 January 2026

At the end of January, the whole school heads to the mountains for a week of skiing.

There are no academic lessons during Surval Ski Week: it is a full week of fun activities on the slopes, skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing.

Evening activities take place within the resort which has many facilities in a spectacular and safe location: ice skating, torchlit descent, thermal baths and tobogganing.

The end of Ski Week is celebrated with an awards ceremony. Ski Week is a highlight of our Winter Term and enjoyed by all Winter Campers and High School students together.

Girls joining Winter Camp become fully integrated into the warm and welcoming Surval boarding community, where they quickly feel at home alongside students from around the world. Our experienced boarding staff provide 24/7 care and support, helping each girl settle in, build confidence and enjoy a safe, nurturing environment throughout their stay.

Boarding life at Surval includes:
