7 & 8 May 2026

In 2005, at the age of 21 and in my third year of studies, I started SuperYacht Times with a simple desire: to document every single superyacht in the world and create a website with daily updates that I would want to read myself.
That drive still fuels me and my team today. More than 20 years on, we serve a global community of billionaires, yacht owners, professionals, and enthusiasts as the leading online source for superyacht news, insights, and intelligence.
Our industry expertise, unrivalled database and global events connect brands with those who drive the market. Whether the goal is raising visibility, generating highvalue leads, or reaching new buyers, we provide direct access to the global superyacht community.
In 2026, we are proud to host the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit in Kobe, Japan, and to work alongside key stakeholders in supporting this remarkable country’s growth as a thriving superyacht destination.
We look forward to working with you on this event.

Japan is emerging as a fresh, exciting destination for superyachts. It offers stunning coastlines, modern marina infrastructure, and a culture aligned closely with high-end travel and experiential luxury. Recent regulatory reforms have simplified entry and cruising, while facilities like the Superyacht Base Kobe Marina make it an attractive location for large vessels.
While Japan hasn’t always been viewed internationally as a superyacht destination, its rich maritime history provides a strong foundation for yachting. Meanwhile, its growing population of UHNWIs (currently more than 21,000), together with expanding infrastructure and support, is helping the country realise its potential as a superyacht market.
What’s driving growth:
Asia-Pacific’s largest recreational fleet, with around 200,000 privately owned yachts and a long tradition of ownership Rising numbers of visiting yachts, drawn by Japan’s unique culture and coastline
Hundreds of marinas nationwide, with additional facilities under development Active government support to attract more yachts A growing affluent class spending more on high-end experiences and travel
