Faculty Spotlight
Since his arrival at SUNY Poly in 2022, Dr. Singh has successfully led to the development of the THz research program, overseeing the purchase of over $500,000 in equipment to set up the Advanced Communications, Electronics and Sensing testbed, a state-of-the-art testbed for THz communications. He has also secured external funding from the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) and U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). His successful work in teaching has been recognized by the department through the Dean’s award in teaching excellence in 2023. Dr. Singh is the PI of the WINGS Research Center, a cross-disciplinary symposium of excellence in the domain of wireless technology.
Wireless and Intelligent Next Generation Systems (WINGS) WINGS, one of the new research centers at SUNY Poly, aims to promote a sustainable and growing sphere of influence in wireless advancements that will be required for next-generation systems. It will spearhead the advent of terahertz and sub-terahertz communications, by leveraging tools from artificial intelligence and automation, in addition to developing cutting-edge work in THzband communications, sensing, and electronics. WINGS is closely aligned with U.S. government agencies such as DARPA and AFRL.
